Camped there a few times. It's very nice and modestly priced. I've never seen any drama out there.

This was our third time staying here. the first two times were ok. However, the other two times…read morewere totally different. This time, we stayed one night. And I woke up to a text from Magic River Campground themselves. The employee was Tiffany, and this is what the text read, "Hi this is Tiffany with Magic River. Unfortunately we are going to have to ask you to leave due to the condition of your van. We have age limits on campers that we accept, and the only time we will accept an older model is if it has been well taken care of and restored. Sorry for the inconvenience, but that is what the owner wants. We also don't allow vehicles that don't run." The only reason for this text is I had a relative pick me up from my RV and take me somewhere for a while, then they brought me back late. I must point out that if you are in an RV and leave, you lose the site you paid for! Magic River Campground is prejudiced in all aspects of the word, DON'T choose MAGIC RIVER CAMPGROUND to stay a night. Because this is the response you will get. A heads up, as I publish this review, this Campground is a member of Passport America, so be aware, if you don't have a brand new RV or pull behind this is the response you will get from Magic River Campground, and they don't properly lock their gate at night, so it's not as secure as they like you to think, and there was no staff member watching the unlocked, wide open gate last night.

I asked one of these human maggots to cut his motorcycle engine that was running on 20 minutes unattended. I found him sitting at his trailer on the opposite side of the park. At the moment he could tell that I was going to call the management he finally acknowledged my presence and told me he would turn the engine off. However being consistent with his maggot personality he decided to repeatedly drive by my space and gun the throttle on his Harley...Ironically he's a 300+ pound coward. There's a fire pit that would otherwise be a pleasant experience if it wasn't for this guy's wife who is a complete alcoholic motor mouth. She's got to run on mouth and her favorite topic is how obnoxious she can be. The management is going to keep losing patrons because they're afraid to do what's right for fear of losing the predictable income of a full timer. Fortunately there are plenty of choices for RV parks around Pass Christian. Magic River also has a problem with flooding and I really doubt the management would evacuate people in time. I've heard that they have already screwed that one up. I can't believe how happy I am to be out of there!

While looking for a location for a month stay we saw They have a lot of empty spaces and now I understand why if you can't reach anyone you can't rent them. We drove through and found a couple different park residents and stopped to ask if they knew who or where we could find someone.. one said" good luck ". Another said " it's a hit or miss"This is no way to run a business !! Finally encountered a very rude and snippy woman whose name is Judy says she's the manager. We wouldn't stay there if they gave us a spot !! Also spoke to a " long time " resident who states the manager is a drunk who poisons and kills the the neighborhood cats .. and is extremely volatile. Stated they tried to have warranty work done on their camper and the repair man won't even come in the park because she is a drunk and try's to extort money from them for allowing them to come in the park. And forget washing cars or your camper she wants money for that too. Wish the new owners knew this but she says she doesn't have any phone numbers to contact them ?? Yeah ok NOT We ended up at another park on Hwy 90 they are extremely friendly and actually says that they get a lot of people who says the same exact thing .. DO NOT GO TO THIS PARK

There were a few other people on the trail today, though no bikes. We even saw a tri-color Corgi-mix with beautiful blue eyes! The trail is very well marked, although I typically get lost around the washout, but that's me being stubborn. Sorry for the dead end footprints, y'all! Found my way quickly along the trail past the Day Use area this weekend - I didn't ask for directions, of course - and had a great workout. He's short and I'm old, so we make a great hiking team. Just sharing here - I picked up a set of bone conduction headphones and listened the book of Psalms while hiking through creation - it was a deeply spiritual day and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to share that moment here. Definitely check out the hiking trail, it's about 5 miles with only a couple mild - moderate climbs and makes for a nice Saturday adventure.
