It is the perfect location for a park, right off the road, quiet, close to the bayous, space center and other towns. The owners will come out and meet you, they are so sweet and friendly. Don't be surprised if you talk for a while. They were helpful and knowledgeable. If we could give them more stars we would. We will definitely be back! The sites are decent size gravel back in with a cement pad and picnic table. There is a laundry mat and bathroom. Jeff (owner) is working on adding amenities as we speak. The people who stay here seem to be nice, everyone waves and smiles when you pass. There is plenty of grass and shade trees and pets are welcome on leash.

There were a few other people on the trail today, though no bikes. We even saw a tri-color Corgi-mix with beautiful blue eyes! The trail is very well marked, although I typically get lost around the washout, but that's me being stubborn. Sorry for the dead end footprints, y'all! Found my way quickly along the trail past the Day Use area this weekend - I didn't ask for directions, of course - and had a great workout. He's short and I'm old, so we make a great hiking team. Just sharing here - I picked up a set of bone conduction headphones and listened the book of Psalms while hiking through creation - it was a deeply spiritual day and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to share that moment here. Definitely check out the hiking trail, it's about 5 miles with only a couple mild - moderate climbs and makes for a nice Saturday adventure. Check out the little shops and stores in Folsom when you're done!

They are the most accommodating people we have dealt with and go above and beyond to meet your needs. We were there during Cruisin The Coast last year and enjoyed seeing the cars that were there. Even if the "rat rods" woke me up in the mornings (I'm a late sleeper). We keep standing reservations for Jeepin The Coast and Cruisin The Coast. We also love that the manager is a veteran. Bingo,movie rentals (?) coffee & sweets night, dominoes, board games,sewing area, potluck aren't available, never. I was woken up in the middle of the night by a man standing at the end of my bed, I was never so frightened in my life! Found out not long after that this man had done this before and the manager knew about it and let him stay. When I informed the manager about it he said well you are alive aren't you? Beware

This year we stayed for our families July 4th reunion and had an excellent time until the new manger tried to charge us another $400 (on top of the $630). We were flabbergasted. Apparently their campsites are rated for only 2 adults & 2 children, and you pay so much extra per person, PER DAY. That would total $1000 for two campsites for 5 nights (yes, it was also a holiday). You can stay for the same amount of time at Paradise Ranch in Tylertown or Yogibear for less amount than that and they offer so much more for families. THANKFULLY, we were able to speak directly with the owners and had the issue resolved, but we definitely will not be back if this is what they charge, which is sad because the place is very nice and isn't crowded. We didn't have to worry about others running over our children with golf carts or loud parties. For the most part, the restrooms are clean, and the grounds are kept cut. I do appreciate the cameras they have around the park and the locked gate in the front. The boardwalk is a nice touch for sight seeing. Our friend stayed in the cabin and didn't have any complaints. Overall, as long as the prices aren't raised, we will return.

The cabins are new construction, they all have a full kitchen with stove and refrigerator, full bathroom. Smart TV, access to high-speed internet, outdoor grill and fire pit. Each of the cabins connect to a beautiful boardwalk that wines its way through the trees and along the creek bank. When we arrived a few weeks later it was just what we needed. Great sunsets, fishing, ease getting to and hooking up but the best part of all are the owners. Joel, Jamiee and there family are awesome. They had an amazingly well thought out and articulate packet of to-dos and must eats around the area. The office/laundry/bathhouse has an elevated porch perfect for nature watching and capturing the awe inspiring sunsets over the bayou. We highly suggest you check them out.
