I have attended some events here. It has been a completely fine time each time. The stars are a mix of the events I have held here and the brunch I attended in Dec. I am not particularly a fan of how far it is from home. It does serve as an adequate backdrop for events. The curb appeal is evident although the event space is much more updated (which is a benefit IMO). I have never stayed the night here nor do I see that happening in my future. My last event there I did hand the bartender a $20 but received change for a $10 and she was adamant that I had only given her a $10 though my 2 $20s were now down to one. I didn't want to ruin the ball for everyone around so I decided to not make a scene. But that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I have attended the Sunday Brunch. The price was steep considering the mimosas were around $9 each. Seriously, I am in the middle of nowhere- I would expect a much more affordable drink when the brunch is already over $30. The brunch was fine though. I will not be attending brunch again. read more

The Oak Crest Mansion Inn is a hidden gem in Pass Christian, MS. It is 3 miles south of I-10 in Pass Christian, MS. It is an easy drive to Gulf Port and Biloxi but it is far enough out to avoid the hustle and bustle. The price was unbeatable too. You won't be able to find this kind of down home feel in such a luxurious place at this price anywhere else. It is a 12 acre estate that has 3 buildings with rooms. There are 4 rooms on the 2nd floor in the main house, 3 rooms in the building behind the main house (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs), and a 2 bedroom Carriage House. All the rooms are decorated elegantly with antique furniture. The bathrooms have jacuzzi tubs and are just a luxurious as the rooms themselves, especially the McGavock Suite which as a double jacuzzi with golden swan faucet. The grounds have a gazebo, fountain, swimming pool, small chapel with beautiful stained glass, and there is a bayou off to the right rear. The Inn Keeper, Bobby, is so nice and fun to talk to. I didn't for one second feel like I was in a hotel, but was just stopping by my best friends house for the evening. He was so courteous and made me feel right at home. As a matter of fact after I arrived, I heated up my leftovers in the microwave and sat on the couch and watched tv with him. I sure hope I'm in the area in the future so I can stay here again. This is a beautiful estate which hosts a old hallows eve murder mystery dinner theatre in my favorite month. The mansion itself was the classic southern style with lavish furniture and bad ass spooky decorations that make the show LEGIT. The barmaster was generous with the aged scotch.. and the actress's/actor's were awesome... at one point a lady actress ate my desert... literally.. hilarity ensued. It was a costume party.. and there was a sweet contest... everyone was fully decked out. The food was average. If you have ever been to these, you know to expect this as it is difficult for any kitchen to serve 50-75 hot plates of food at once. With that in mind.. I do not dock them much for this as I'm pretty sure it involves bending the laws of physics to accomplish a feat of this caliber. There is tons of hilarious table interaction involved in solving the murder.. naturally... i did not need those fools to crack this caper.. My fine lady friend and I had it solved before dinner.. read more

This lovely place lives up to its name. As soon as you drive up you know this place is going to be special. My husband and I stayed in a lovely room in the building behind the main house that was originally the barn, but has been remolded so that three bedrooms, private baths and common living area are as elegant as the main house. We Stayed downstairs and the bed was very comfortable. The common area had a small fridge, micro, and coffee pot. There were utensils but no dishes. Bobby was a delightful host and storyteller who filled us in on the history of the mansion as he gave us a tour of the main house after a delicious breakfast that was beautifully plated. You can sit on the porch or explore the grounds in your free time. The chapel has beautiful stained glass and very loud bell you can ring. We loved the tranquility here. Restaurants and shopping are close by. Negatives were the TV in our bedroom did not work and we were not able to access the free wifi. I still gave this place 5 stars, because who needs these things when getting away from the city for a weekend. read more

I married my wife here and had the best experience. Everyone from the innkeeper to the wedding planner to the chef was kind, courteous and welcoming. Getting married is stressful, but the staff at Oak Crest Mansion Inn made it as easy as possible. My wife and I had an early flight the morning after our wedding and the innkeeper was kind enough to wake up before 5:00 am and make us smoothies and muffins for our trip. I cannot stress how wonderful the experience was from planning to event. We are locals, but we plan on spending a night there just to enjoy the atmosphere again. Check it out! read more

Worst experience ever...the business is completely unprofessional and they take advantage of situations and people. I wouldnt recommend anyone planning an event here. My event planner got fired or quit in the middle of me planning my wedding, which they did not even bother on telling me. When I went to cancel, the new girl did not even know who I was or that I even planned something there. It took me about a week to even get in touch with someone to cancel. I sent the business manager a complaint and she did not even bother on responding. Then 3 months later the girl calls me laughing saying "you canceled your wedding right? I just now found your paperwork and realized your wedding is in 10 days" WOW! seriously...this place needs help. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! It was a special girls weekend and we loved every minute of it. We arrived and had ordered in advance the Royal Tea - it was perfect. Delicious, presentation, variety, abundant - all top notch and I am a tea expert! Kudos to Chef Jean-Paul - a true talent. From the scones and clotted cream, to the salmon savories, and lettuce wrapped salads (as opposed to all breads - which I had requested and so grateful to have) to the rice paper wrapped turkey savories, cucumber minted tea sandwiches. And the desserts - so much variety! We were so full - we didn't go out to dinner - which was perfect for us with leftovers for later! The staff make you feel they love what they do, the mansion is incredible and so well appointed and spotless, the grounds beautiful, we swam in their very large, gorgeous pool (1st historic pool ever built in MS. - stunning pool with fountains and plenty of rafts and noodles and beach balls to use - even beach towels if we needed. Outdoor gorgeous, clean bathrooms. Our room was incredible and we desired nothing with the ample and well made bed and linens. Gorgeous view of the grounds too. Our Saturday breakfast was spot on with warm scrambled eggs, mini pancakes with pecans and a huge bowl of fresh fruit topped with whipped cream. We are not coffee drinkers - so they served us a pot of tea! A day at the beach at the Pass was really enjoyable. The Sunday Brunch is way over the top - an omelet station, carved roast, buffet of endless specialty twists on classic. The setting so lovely. We were so relaxed and pampered and well fed to say the least. A visit to the onsite chapel before we left to Praise God for allowing us to find this Mansion of delights. We can't wait to return with the husband, the family and even driving over just for Brunch or any specialty event they might plan! read more
