I've since then had a full left hip replacement just over 2 weeks ago and on the road to recovery. There is still concern of avascular necrosis in my right hip which I hope to address as soon as possible. My bulging discs in my lower back have taking a lower priority with all things considered. Dr. Pederson is number one and the BEST! I had two other chiropractors and 5 visits with them, and still no permanent relief of my left upper back and neck pain. I had not slept thru the night for over 30 days. However, within 30 minutes of my first visit, Dr. Pederson discovered 2 of my ribs were in subluxation. Meaning they were partially moved from their place. He quickly popped them back in place, and there was an immediate relief of my pain and discomfort. He then demonstrated the exercises for me to strengthen my back muscles and emailed me a follow-up, with pictures of the exercises he wanted me to do. Crappy service, not very knowledgeable, confuses patients, baaaad recommendation for useless orthotics. I had to call Dr. Pederson over six times for him to respond by email in a very 'bothered' manner, giving me what I had already known for seven years, and made me buy an orthotic aid that doesn't do crap. I don't think he knew who I was Worst of all, I haven't received any follow up communication to check if things worked. He makes his life simple and lazy by not taking any insurance... I came to Dr. Pederson through the recommendation of a trusted massage therapist who swore by him. My child who is a competitive athlete was suffering from golfer's elbow, and he resolved it in just TWO sessions followed by recommended strengthening exercises. I was training for a long-distance race when I suddenly experienced terrible back pain. I wasn't able to stand, sit, or lie down without extreme discomfort. I've been to chiropractors in the past for smaller issues, but I never felt listened to and always felt pressure to "schedule another appointment" even when I felt like I wasn't really being helped. However, Dr. Pederson was able to help my back issue immediately, explaining the why behind my injury and how we would fix it. He also provided at home exercises to help in the recovery. Because of his explanations and the focus on moving properly / making sure I incorporate enough core training to support my running, it has changed the way I work out in a positive way. I have been experiencing spot specific headaches and then syncope on rising for 3 months; after a month long cardiologist workup and testing, my syncope was determined to not be cardiac or blood pressure related. A Baylor University friend of mine recommended Dr. Pederson, saying his whole family used him as their health quarterback to get them the right medical assistance, and not always chiropractic treatment. I called him from Dallas; Dr. Pederson, personally called me back and took the time to listen to my symptoms and I was not even his patient. He came up with the first logical possible causation of my 3 month long every day syncope issue: suggesting a neck MRI and that narrowing of my verterbrae could be causing my symptoms and suggested an early first round MRI of my neck. As a doctor of nutrition he is very thorough with reviewing test results and coming up with a plan. He also helped me with a gallbladder and stomach issue. He goes the extra mile and is knowledgeable on MANY things. As a chiropractor he has many new techniques I've never experienced in my 30+ years of receiving chiropractic care from other places. It was just discovered that I have Osteo arthritis in both my hip flexor and that was the cause of my severe pain. When I walked I could only take small strides in my steps. I just couldn't accept that this was going to be my new way of living!! I am a very active person and at that time I was only 55 years old. After a few visits and using his techniques on me he was able to open up my hips. He gave me exercises to do at home and after a couple months I was able to take the wide strides I was use to taking while walking. I'm back to jogging, bike riding and running! Okay...so I have never been to a chiropractor before because I have heard the numerous horror stories associated with chiropractor visits. HOWEVER, getting older has truly taken its toll on me, and I hurt my back when working out at my gym. I was so debilitated that I could barely sit down! I had to wear my back brace if I knew I would be sitting down for extended periods of time... I did not want to go the route of going to a specialist and paying for an expensive MRI...so i took a friend's suggestion and went to find a chiropractor instead. After doing an extensive google search, I found Dr. Pederson and made an appointment. I will admit that I was EXTREMELY skeptical and very wary when I went to my first appointment. SO skeptical and wary that I brought my boyfriend with me so that he would watch and make sure he was not adjusting in any manner that could potentially be harmful to my back. Dr. Pederson sensed that I was extremely cautious and explained every single move and range of motion test he was doing prior to starting any sort of adjustment. He also performed a diagnostic test of sorts and immediately figured out the problem spot and focused on that muscle/nerve area. I just say that after 3-4 sessions with him and routinely doing the exercises he gave me to perform at home...I am completely back to normal and am a HUGE believer in his abilities and expertise. I have gone back a couple of times since then as I had inciting incidents where I re-aggravated my back, but I must say that I am back to doing the same type of work outs I was doing prior to seeing him! My husband has been seeing Dr. Pederson for years. He loved that Dr. Pederson took a holistic approach to his back issues - ie focus on movement and strength training, not just in-office visits. And after seeing Dr. Pederson, his back pain was greatly reduced, with continued improvements when he made time for the exercises prescribed. I recently went myself for a postnatal adjustment. (I was having some pelvic pain). Two simple adjustments and a list of exercises to do at home and I feel good as new. I really appreciate Dr. Pederson's manner. Dr Pederson is a great chriopractor. I am an ageing weekend warrior who sometimes gets hurt from running, weight training and calisthenics. I went to him for achilles tendonitis after seeing another chiropractor for several months. In one visit he looked at my running shoes, looked at my feet, moved me around a little bit, tugged a bit here, pushed a bit there, put a piece of foam in my shoe and told me go for a run! What a magician! His appointments also are on schedule and efficient; I've never had an appointment take over an hour. Additionally, if my appointment is with him, then he is the only person who works on me. I have had other chriopractors do an initial consultation and tell me that it will take 8 (or 12) visits to fix a problem. Dr Pederson does not; he tells me to call when I need it. He also emails me stretches to do on my own, so I feel like he's trying to get me healthy, not just get as many visits as possible. read more

Dr. Pederson really helped me with my back, hip, and knee problems!! He did a great job and was very knowledgeable about everything!

I had a chiropractor in Seattle work on my crunchy knee with gua sha, but that would only relieve the discomfort for maybe two weeks at a time. When I came back to Dr. Pederson he was able to determine it was my skeletal structure that caused certain muscles to pull in a way that creates the crunchiness in my knee. He gave me stretches to do and I haven't had a problem with my knee since. Recently I popped my patella out. At the ER the doctor said it was a sprain and told me to rest. I went to Dr. Pederson who felt around the knee to identity exactly what was going on and determined it was my meniscus that sprained and told me to get back to using my knee instead of resting, saying it would help me more than resting. It's about eight hours after my appointment and I already feel more mobility and less soreness. Dr. Pederson is my go to practitioner and beyond chiropractic. I have visited Dr P for a few years now and there is a reason. I do a lot of stupid stuff from running too much to eating too much. I am just competitive with myself and what distances I can achieve. Dr P is always there to fix, try and fix, direct, but never judge me. He is a good dude who cares about his trade...this makes him excellent in my book. I saw Dr Pederson several times to address a sudden back issue. He accurately diagnosed the issue (I later confirmed with back MRI) and provided effective treatment and follow-up advice. My trainer told me about Dr. Pederson after I complained that my feet had been aching for a couple weeks. At first I thought it unusual to go to a chiropractor for feet pains, but come to find out, Dr. Pederson has extensive knowledge on all parts of the body, how they interact with each other, etc. I've honestly never had such a thorough assessment from any other chiro or doctor, meaning he tested and assessed every joint to limb to see where my true ailments were. Come to find out, many of my back problems are associated with my unstable flat feet with terrible arches! I feel he really customizes treatments by patient. I appreciate that he takes his time to do it right, really try getting to the root causes. Very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I've been having issues with my back and neck for many years now and for a young person, it was difficult to admit or seek help. My PCP was prescribing medications and didn't do anything to help the underlying issue. Dr. Pederson was a referral from a friend. I've had terrible experiences before with chiropractors that ended up just taking my money and not helping or listening to my concerns. Dr. Pederson was AMAZING!!! He sat down to listen to my story, evaluated all of my muscle groups and ortho layout and realigned my hips, spine, and neck. I have felt a big improvement on the stress that my body feels throughout the day. I also do not have as much numbness in certain extremities after the visit. He taught me some exercises and stretches to practice at home. It's nice to have a doctor be a holistic caregiver rather than a passive one. I would recommend him any day.
