I was seeing Dr. Jenson for a year when I was sent a letter from his office saying that they would no longer be treating me with absolutely no explanation as to why I've been dropped as their patient. Dr. Jenson had been treating me for acne, warts, and a fungus before I was dropped. Last year I was treated very poorly by the medical assistant at this office. She was impossible to talk to on the phone, extremely rude, short, abrasive, and seemed to have power complex. The medical assistant had told me that she was a nurse, and when I asked if she was really a nurse or a medical assistant she said that she was a medical assistant but calls herself a nurse. ?? So... she lied on top of being the most offensive medical assistant I've encountered. When I called back and asked to speak with the Doctor after getting off the phone with the medical assistant, the office manager completely berated me without all the facts, and after I told her what had happened and that I thought I was having a reaction to my medication so I needed to talk to the doctor, everything changed. The office manager apologized and set me an appt the next day for free. I though that was good, and I let Dr. Jenson know that I had been treated poorly by his medical assistant when I went to my appt. He said that he cares about my health more than a co-pay and would see me anytime, and that I should never be treated like that from a member of his staff. I thought everything was fine at that point. I was always very diplomatic and calm, even when I expressed my dissatisfaction to the doctor about his medical assistant. I was never rude, never yelled, and only expressed that I was treated poorly. And then about a month after that visit, I was sent a letter stating that I needed to find a new dermatologist, that they would no longer be treating me or filling my prescriptions, and that I should not call or visit again. And no explanation as the why I was sent this letter (i.e. non-compliance, or anything else that they could have said). I was completely perplexed and surprised by the letter, but was especially surprised at the lack of explanation.
Just beware that the medical treatment at this office may be good, but if you ever encounter the slightest problem in this office, they will possibly drop you with no explanation and at their leisure. read more
