I took my mother, who has dementia, to this office to deal with a cyst. They DO NOT know how to…read moretreat someone with this condition. The nicest thing I can say is that I was really, really disappointed! I filled out all the paperwork ahead of time and indicated that she was allergic to Lidocaine. Then once there; confirmed that with the office staff. After waiting for the Dr to come in and explaining the situation he casually says "Oh well we can't do anything for her then". The amount of effort it takes to get someone with this condition to a new Dr appointment can be immense. I was angry. I said she's in a lot of pain is there something else you can use? He said, "Well I can cut her open without any meds if you want. Or you can take her to the hospital where they will put her under general anesthesia and cut her open about yay far". Are you kidding me?! I ended up finding out from my sibling that she only had a very mild reaction once, so I decided to go ahead. She almost fell as she tried turning over (on a dime) onto her stomach in his chair that had no extra room on either side. He spoke over her and then me the whole time and told me things that every person who has ever watched a single episode of Dr pimple popper would know!! He seemed to like to hear himself talk or preach. Once he injected her he didn't wait even 5 seconds for it to take effect. He poked her skin with a blade and asked if it hurt. She said yes but without hesitation he started cutting!!! Then used the little scooper tool to dig in there really deep. My mom was crying. He just kept talking. Not at all bothered by it. Again because I have watched my fair share of Dr pimple popper I know that lidocaine doesn't go through the cyst so as you remove stuff you probably need to put in more to get it under where he was digging. He said, "Well, she is allergic! And,"You heard how she whined when I put the first shots in. So no." He just kept digging. There's so much more but I'll leave it at that. He was a nightmare!!

I've not been here a lot of times, but it's been spread over about 15 years. I have had multiple…read moreskin cancer locations, and other skin issues. They provide the best medical experience I've had in many years. From checking in, to the exam, and minor surgery, it's all been great. The doctor had a great "bedside" manner as he carved out some skin cancers divots. It was like having a conversation with a friend who was interested in the conversation. I know a lot of it was to keep me distracted as he gave me the shots that "sting a little" and sliced off the skin. He basically made it an enjoyable experience -- go figure.

On the good side Dr Jenson managed to diagnose and treat my wife's lips that had been giving her…read morepain for years. And he really takes the time to listen and care for his patients. The downside is that you can expect to be in the waiting room for a long time to get in and then the medical room after your scheduled appointment time before you will actually see the doctor. But somehow once you see him he makes the wait worth it. 5 stars for the Doctor, -1 star for the wait.

I made an appointment on Monday, Apr 4 for Friday Apr 8, the first available slot. I got a text…read morefrom Dr Jenson's office on Wednesday Apr 6 making sure I was going to keep the appointment. I showed up early to make sure the paperwork was completed before my appointment. I literally waited an hour. When I finally asked the receptionist wearing scrubs why I couldn't get a text indicating they were running late, she told me the office does not text patients. I showed her the text. She called the Office Manager. He didn't know any more. My name was finally called and I was placed in an empty room. A young man in blue jeans and a plain shirt: no lab coat, no tie, no scrubs, no ID, begins to ask me medical questions. I asked if he was the doctor. He said no, he was a Medical Assistant. We got up and left after one hour, 10 minutes. Another receptionist had to call the Office Manger to ask for help refunding my copay. I think if any medical service provider is running behind schedule, waiting patients ought to be notified and given the opportunity to re-schedule.
