Jenny was recommended by my real estate agent, and I have to say that it's one of the best recommendations I've ever gotten. I had previously gone to a dentist in Mill Creek, but when I moved to Lynnwood, I wanted something closer. Jenny's office is literally two minutes from me, but honestly I would drive all the way to Mill Creek for her service.
I live literally two minutes from this place so the location is great. The office is a little sparse and lacking of color. The waiting room is nice, but in the exam rooms, you won't find TV's or an art gallery on the walls, although there are few pictures. But who goes to the dentist to watch TV and look at art?
I've had two appointments so far-one initial appointment and a second one today to get a partial deep clean.
The first visit went really well and I was a little nervous because it had been well over a year since my last appointment. I was greeted by the assistant who took me into a room for x-rays. Then I was escorted into another room for the exam. Jenny introduced herself and was extremely friendly. She explained the results of my x-rays thoroughly and answered all of my questions. She even had technology that allowed me to see what she was looking at on a monitor. We discussed options, such as a deep clean and having a filling fixed since I've never broken one before.
Today's appointment went really well. I went in to have the deep clean on my right side and knew that I'd have to have my face numbed. Jenny was very patient and through with the process and it didn't hurt at all, aside from a few stings here and there. When I first sat down she asked me if I wanted a pillow and/or a blanket (what a wonderful surprise!), so I opted for a pillow since the pillow on the chair wasn't very comfortable. She brought out a really cute fleece pink pillow with Eeyore on it. Next time I'm definitely getting the blanket too!
During the visit, she asked me more than once if I wanted to take a break, but I opted to keep going. Still, she made sure that I was okay and when it was finished, I was pretty lightheaded from the anesthesia, but she had me sit in the chair for a while until I was able to get up on my own. I was really surprised that it only took about an hour and a half for the process because I was expecting to be there well over two hours. She apologized for not talking very much during the visit and said that she doesn't talk very much while she's working. And I appreciated that.
This is the best dentist I have seen in a very long time. The last dentist I liked almost as much ended up retiring many years Ago. I'm very glad to have found this place. Jenny is sensitive to the needs of her patients and seemed genuinely sympathetic when I mentioned at our first meeting that I had lost my husband two years ago. I mentioned it because we used to go to our dentist appointments together, so it's hard for me to go alone. But Jenny makes me feel special and I know my husband would be happy about that. I'm only sorry that he never got to meet her. read more
