Jenn's is super cute and comfortable. I had the opportunity to visit on 2 separate accounts, a weekday morning and Saturday midday. Atmosphere wise, very homey and relaxed. I preferred my visit on a weekday morning simply because it was less crowded and less busy; Saturday was packed including a chess tournament going on. On both visits I ordered a peppermint latte "for here" and was served in a big mug with just the right amount of peppermint and milk froth. I had a few of their pastries which I believe are made in house including the sugar cookie (decorated as Mr. Narwhal from the movie Elf) and the oatmeal chocolate muffin. My friend had the breakfast burrito with salsa and sour cream options added on, he said it was ok at best with too much sauce. Overall, pretty good spot with lots of natural light to either chill or get some work done. Excellent local coffee shop discovered in the heart of Manitowoc's downtown. We visited as a group of 200 convertibles on a tour and were pleased to find: --Delicious beverages. It's a coffee shop. That said, the menu contained a bevy of wonderful creations. It's such a delight to see and take in a menu for coffee that's not standard! --Wonderful retail. This is a great place to shop for a little gift. For others or for yourself! We spotted unique, handmade soaps, candles, knitted goods, and other fun items to peruse. --Exceptional service. It's probably not every day this coffee shop gets bombarded with 400 visitors staggered in waves over a single morning. We went on a Wednesday morning on our way out of the area. It wasn't busy at all; there were a few people seated already and enjoying their drinks, but there was no line. I ordered a large plain latte, and my friend got a small hot chocolate (both to-go). Both were really good, although they were definitely steamed on the hotter side. The girl that took our order was friendly, but she was a bit soft spoken. We struggled to hear her, but I understand that could be for a number of reasons. My only real issue is that there didn't seem to be a menu posted anywhere. We understood that they would have any "typical" coffee shop drink, so ordering wasn't too much of an issue for us, despite this. The building itself was really cute. They have lots of things for sale, such as baked goods and T-shirts. If I ever find myself in Manitowoc again I'd definitely stop in again and stay for a while! read more

This is a huge coffee shop, so if you're coming to hang, it's the place to be. For good ole fashioned coffee or sugary/flavored lattes, it's the place to be. I just wanted an espresso with some foamed milk on top, but it was a little bit of a tall order. I got the macchiato, but the espresso was in over abundance and it was pretty wild tasting! Good selection of baked goods - which I think is a high point - but again, lots of sugar and added ingredients. Seems like a wonderful family business for the community, which I really appreciate! Interesting the sweets are not placed in a way to get in the way of the enjoyment of the coffee experience. I walked in a bad mood, and needed a good cup of coffee. I needed a strong cup of coffee and that's what I got. The Red Eye was made with care for detail and great conversation of coffee. Jenn's Java is little coffee shop located in Manitowoc. It is a perfect place to go to either catch up with friends, work on your computer or both. It has a lot of bakery items which always tend to be delicious. Jenn's Java also has some of the best smoothies! The smoothies have two options. They can be made with Greek yogurt or ice cream. There are several different flavors to choose from. I personally think that the smoothies made with ice cream are better than those made with Greek yogurt. It's also on the expensive side but you get a bigger cup for the price. If you haven't been to this place, I would definitely check it out. I have always had pleasant experiences here! read more

Jenn's Java always has an amazingly friendly environment and they give you your space to be there by yourself once you are done ordering your food. I always take a window seat by an outlet and then I'm able to work with a great view and easy access electricity! My favorite coffee shop! My friends and I have been going there since high school. Now we are married and some of us have children. Great for all ages. Welcoming atmosphere. With free wifi, it's a good place to come and study and get work done. Owners are local Manitowocians and are very nice. Games and cards available and sometimes movies are shown and Wii is played. My husband and I recently moved to Chicago from Two Rivers. When we lived in the area we visited Jenn's Java several times a week . Since moving we have not found a place we love to go to as much as Jenn's Jave Cafe. They have the best coffee, americano's, the best sugar cookies which are beautifully and artistically decorated, the best cheese cake, lemon bars, cake pops, ooie gooie bars, carmels, christmas cookies, peanut butter balls, I love it all. I have had cakes made, sugar cookie birthday baskets, Christmas cookie trays and more. We have never been disappointed. They also have wonderful hand crafted items for gifts such as scarfs, blankets, pajamas, jewelery etc. Jenn and Aaron are great (the owners) and we miss Jenn's Java very much, as well as Joette (who makes some of the beautiful crochet items) If you live in the area you are missing out if you have not been to Jen's Java. Jenn's is a great coffee shop plenty of seating, tons of board games and other fun games available for play, and good coffee and expresso. However I was disappointed with their menu! They offer almost no vegetarian options!! They did have a vegetable plate with carrots, broccoli &... which was fine, but that was about it aside from muffins or cookies!
