I was very glad to have Jen Touchette as my agent in selling my condo in DC - she's a total pro. Jen is terrific to work with and made the process as pleasant and smooth as possible. Selling a property in DC's aggressive market can be stressful and complicated, so I greatly appreciated Jen's knowledge, skills, advice, and professional commitment, as well as her calm, always positive energy to ease the journey. Jen really cares about her clients and is ready to help in any way (she even made extra efforts to help me sell my piano!), and to go the distance. Jen is savvy, organized, and efficient. She's a great listener, very conscientious and responsive - always accessible and great at communicating at any time of day or night. She implemented an energetic marketing plan for my property that was quickly successful. Throughout the sale process - from preparing my property to smart pricing to negotiating the contract - Jen gave helpful advice while giving me time to make decisions. Her guidance was essential in getting my property under contract quickly (only 6 days on market) and moving smoothly to closing. Jen also has a strong, highly collaborative team of partners and colleagues, which is a bonus for her clients. She can tap into a hive of deep experience and input when more perspectives would be useful, and she has excellent operations support to help navigate the many tasks and details in selling (or buying) a property. Information and communications from Jen and Lane (her operations manager) were always clear and timely for each step of the process. I'm very glad I chose Jen Touchette to accompany me on my real estate journey. I would happily work with her again and highly recommend her! read more

We highly recommend Jen, she was a must for many reasons. From the start, she was a huge help. Jen was exceptional in her service. We are international buyers looking to invest abroad. So we were first time home-buyers in Washington DC and were not familiar with a lot of things. She guided us through the entire process. What we liked most about her was the responsiveness, knowledge and communication. She is very professional, caring and smart. Jen pays attention to details and taking care of client's interests is a priority for her. She has forged great relationships in the industry and was able to recommend us excellent contractors, architects, project managers... and all sorts of useful information we need as we come from abroad. She has a special connection to a local housing business (Attache Corporate Housing) that allows her to learn about their properties before they come on the market and thus provided us with great information and contacts in the housing business. She is still in touch after the sale to make sure everything is going well. That says a lot about the kind of person she is. We found Jen to be a delightful blend of professionalism and personality and highly recommend her if you're looking for someone to help guide you through the process, address your concerns, and help you seal the deal in this very competitive housing market. We have made a new friend and we definitely would work again with her when the time comes for our next transaction. Cristina, from PROEMIO S.L. read more

Our experience with Jen was perfect in every way. She was introduced to us through a close family friend who had worked with Jen to purchase a home very recently. What began as an informal introduction quickly became a great working relationship and friendship. Jen knows DC and the surrounding area like the back of her hand, and did a great job of sticking to our criteria as she recommended homes to view. She always dealt with us directly, never once sending someone on her team to show us a home instead of her. She did a great job of teaching us what to look for and things to consider that we hadn't thought of. She was highly professional, but also a pleasure to be around. Her responsiveness and attention to detail was impeccable. She is VERY well connected in this area and this industry, calling on friends and clients to speak with us about our new home, be it plumbing, electrical work, security, home inspection, etc. Everyone she recommended was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. When it came to negotiations, she was patient and thorough, explaining everything and putting us at ease. Once the purchase was complete, Jen stayed in regular contact with us, checking in on several occasions and continuing to answer questions and provide valuable insight. We think this MAY be our "forever" home, but if we ever need the services of a realtor again, there is no way we would choose anyone besides Jen Touchette. She is the best! read more

I first sat down with Jen about a month ago to look over what I perceived as a tough scenario - an extremely competitive DC market stacked up against my limited resources. One week later, we had an accepted offer. One month later, I am a first time home owner! I really wanted a house but thought I might be confined to only bidding on condos. When this house popped up on a holiday weekend, Jen jumped in feet first with me and moved quickly. She was able to assess the property and the owner's position and come up with a strategy right away. As we walked through, she literally said "my gut is that this property will sell for "X" amount with a contract that looks like "X". That intuition and market knowledge were correct, and we made a winning offer against 11 other bids. And I should point out, my offer was not the highest but the best suited to the sellers needs. I would never have thought that I would be able to negotiate past so many offers, but she knows how to strategize and negotiate. She scheduled a pre-inspection for me with a top notch inspector and has an amazing arsenal of contacts for every type of contractor. I am generally very anxious with big decisions, and as a first time buyer had a never ending run of questions and concerns. Jen was receptive to my needs able to guide me calmly through tough decisions, always gracious and supportive. And she loves being a realtor, which makes the whole process fun! read more

Updated Review based on being a repeat customer (August 2018 purchase): Jen did it again. She helped me navigate some tricky waters and we were able to win a very competitive (3 other offers) bid to snag a rare penthouse unit in the Navy Yard area, despite me being contingent on the sale of the unit I bought the first time around. Being contingent and under time-pressure, she was able to sell my unit after one day on the market for over the asking price. She has an amazing network of lenders, fellow agents, friends...and as a result always knows what is going on and how to approach things. She likes to win, which is a good thing. And she wins a lot, which is a better thing. Original Review from December 2016 purchase (below): Jen moves fast. She works hard to make sure you get what you want. I mentioned to Jen that I was looking to buy a place downtown in the Navy Yard area. Within a few days, we were the first people to get a look at a property that was absolutely perfect for my situation. I told Jen I wanted it. Jen put together an immediate offer in such a way that the sellers decided to forego the open house they had on the schedule, which saved me the agony of a potential bidding war....yet somehow did not end up costing me much extra. The whole process was smooth and any questions I had were answered immediately. I was thankful to have Jen on my side. read more

We recently bought a condo in Washington DC, as an investment and are so happy to have worked with Jen. We did it "long distance" as we don't live in DC, we needed a realtor able to guide us even if we weren't there in person. Jen was amazing. Very knowledgeable about real estate in DC, Maryland and Virginia. She is honest and upfront, if a property is not the ideal one for you she will say so (even if it means losing out on a sale). She knows a lot of people in the real estate world, and in the mortgage and title companies, so this makes everything go smoothly. Her professional reputation is very good, and she works with a good team. She is very efficient and responds quickly to emails and text messages, it's amazing how fast she turns things around. But my favorite thing about working with Jen was that she never pressured us to make a purchase, she listened to what we wanted and never made us feel forced to go in a direction we didn't like. A couple of times she even found the "fatal flaw" in a property before we noticed and advised us not to proceed. She's not desperate to make a sale, what she likes to do is find the perfect match for her clients. Her positive energy, her intelligence and efficiency are impressive. We hope to work with Jen again in the future and can recommend her with no hesitation as the best realtor in DC. read more

I met Jen very early in my property search at a random open house. She asked for my contact information to follow up on my search, and respected my wishes that I was "casually looking and getting used to the market." I had not purchased a property in years, decades actually, and Jen proved to be patient, knowledgeable when I began to have more detailed questions, and assertive when she felt like I needed a push to be truly competitive on a property I was interested in. She knows the DC metro real estate market and did not let the COVID-19 pandemic deter her or diminish her unfailing positive attitude. To be clear, she always followed CDC guidelines and took every proper precaution during property visits. When I pivoted and expanded my search to VA, Jen didn't blink an eye and helped me balance the differences between the DC and VA markets. And when we finally found the perfect property, I think we both knew it because she had invested the time to get to know me during my nearly one-year search. Finally, she literally came to my rescue when a last-minute personal situation threw a real kink in my closing-day plans. Jen's a true pro, she'll tell you what's what but she won't bug you, and when you find the place you fall in love with she'll go to bat for you to make sure you get your dream home. read more

I couldn't recommend Jennifer more and for many reasons. Her special connection to a local housing business (Attache Corporate Housing) allows her to learn about their properties before they come on the market (a must in DC). This is how she found my property... As soon as the owner informed Attache about selling, she knew my needs and we jumped right on it! Her strong negotiating skills resulted in the owner never putting his condo on the market and selling to me below market value. It was a win win for both the seller and me since he didn't have to list his property and we were able to close very quickly. This was a breeze compared to the purchase of my first property! She was very responsive, knowledgeable and nice to work with-- which made the overall experience exciting, not stressful. She was even able to assist me with financing options and advise. I would recommend Jennifer Touchette to all types of buyers-- investors (due to her relationship with Attache), families (she has a wonderful family of her own and knows the school system), first time buyers (she's a long time resident of DC, knows the neighborhoods, and has several properties of her own so she can relate well to the buying experience). She's friendly but knows how to play hard ball for her clients! read more

Jen Touchette was the key to our successful search for an investment property in the hyper competitive DC market. Her deep knowledge of the city helped us focus on the best neighborhoods for rental income and future appreciation. She was always responsive to questions my wife and I asked and she quickly arranged for us to see properties that interested us. During our months long search we visited properties that caught our eye as well as properties that Jen recommended. In retrospect, this was a terrific learning experience and it shifted our focus toward the neighborhoods that were experiencing the greatest change and growth. We ultimately purchased a unit that Jen directed us to on the day it went on the market. The condo was in an investor friendly building in a great neighborhood located in the Dupont, Logan Circle, and U Street areas. Jen recognized its value and helped us put together a successful bid on the property that had six offers after only 3 days on the market. The key to our success was Jen's guidance in making a clean offer that was attractive to the seller for more reasons than simple price. Without Jen's guidance and strategic sense, we would still be looking. She did a great job! read more

As a first-time foreign investor company, we were not sure on what to expect about the buying process, but JENNIFER TOUCHETTE made it easy. She mange to send all the information abroad, so when we arrived to the states we knew exactly what property we where going to buy. In one month we where able to creat a company, open bank account and buy the property. If it wasn't for her we wouldn't have been able to buy the property. JENNIFER is responsive, professional, caring, smart, and has forged great relationships in the industry. She was able to recommend architects, contractors etc...and has kept in touch after the sale to make sure everything is going well. That says a lot about the kind of person she is -- she's about finding the right fit for the buyer, not just making a sale and moving on. She is a GREAT AGENT! I highly recommend calling Jennifer, she has been of great help for us all through the buying process. We would work with her again in a heartbeat. If you are trying to find a good agent, look no further. read more

Working with Jennifer was fantastic! From our first informal meeting, she immediately made me feel at ease and kept everything very low-pressure. She explained the whole process in a way that was easy to understand, and even gave me a comprehensive first-time buyers handbook. She worked around the clock and through her personal vacation to manage my offer, and guided me through the process seamlessly. She has an excellent network, and made helpful introductions to mortgage brokers, inspection companies, and more. Jennifer and her team provided me with clear instructions and guidance from when my offer was accepted to the closing, and she was incredibly responsive and organized. I felt very comfortable having her as my agent, and could not recommend her more. read more

Jennifer Touchette is the best we could have asked for! She was spot on with her advice and always responded to our questions before we could even blink - weekends, nights, etc.! She also went above and beyond to help us with our apartment purchase since we were not in the DC area but in fact overseas. We could not have been able to purchase our apartment in the time frame that we did without her guidance and help. Jen was incredibly helpful and responsive to our needs. We were first time buyers and she was unfailingly patient with all of our questions and was not pushy at all. She has an excellent knowledge of the housing market in DC. We highly recommend Jen as a trusted adviser and friend in the real estate market - you will not be disappointed. read more

Jen was an amazing asset to have in my corner! I was settling an estate and tasked with having to sell a historic home in the heart of DC. It was my first time selling a house, and, although an intimidating process, she was with me every step of the way. She was knowledgeable about the neighborhood and market, responded quickly to my texts or emails (and there were many), and overall, Jen's a great person to work with. When issues came up in the house (as they always do), she was at the ready with a contractor to recommend -- ones who were reliable (not easy to find these days) and reasonably priced. Finding the right realtor to sell your house isn't an easy task, but I felt like she was the perfect fit. read more

My husband & I along with our 2 small children showed up at one of Jen's open houses and she helped us see another agents listing right after her open house and really went way above and beyond our expectations. We were able to submit a great offer and move quickly (27 days total from start to finish... I am not even kidding) and really stayed in contact throughout the whole process and answered every crazy question we had. She is super organized and kept us on track even though I tried to give her curve balls. I really would recommend her to anyone. We are the proud owners of a new home and she really got the job done and the process was incredibly painless and simple. Would DEFINITELY use her again. read more

Jen served as my buyer agent. She was fantastic to work with at every step. She helped narrow a dizzying array of options in DC down to the neighborhoods and home types we were looking for, and at the same time, kept thinking just enough outside the box to where we finally landed in a home we may not have expected but which is just so perfect in every way. Her instincts are unmatched that way. She has a solid cadre of top shelf supporting cast - inspectors, mortgage brokers, service providers and (not to be overlooked) her fellow agents with whom her personal and professional credibility mattered. I'd recommend Jen and Attache Realty without exception. read more

This woman is a class act! Jen supported me through every step of the process of selling my condo. Guiding me through her knowledge, expertise, and friendly advice and explaining things I didn't understand in a patient manner. Her response time is stellar! She also has an arsenal of people on her team to help with any obstacles that arise. Jen Touchette is an experienced realtor with a vast knowledge of the D.C. market and all aspects of the home buying process. As a first time buyer, she was without a doubt the best choice I could have made. Her communication and negotiation skills are top-notch and she efficiently manages all steps of the transaction to make sure things are done timely and efficiently. With an excellent network in the area, Jen can connect buyers with lenders, inspectors, interior design and property management professionals. This makes her a great fit both for local clients and for those buying a property remotely. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy a home. read more

Jen came highly recommended to us by another friend and we were not disappointed. She managed to get us in to see the properties we wanted despite the challenging conditions of the COVID-19 lockdown period and helped us to secure a very good deal. I particularly appreciated that she did not push us to exceed our budget nor advise us to bid higher than necessary and in the end we managed to have an offer accepted below the asking price. Her guidance to us as first time buyers during the closing process was extremely helpful and she has continued to be a valuable resource even after the sale was completed, with great recommendations for local contractors. read more
