Instead of offering the basic kindness and understanding you would expect from a fertility clinic, I was spoken to in a demeaning, dismissive, and unprofessional manner. Deborah was also ALL ABOUT THE MONEY and mentioned I'd have to first fill out a form will all of my personal information to then be accepted as a patient. Hoping this was just an individual mistake, I called back to speak with the office manager. To my shock, she doubled down, refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing, and even mocked me instead of addressing the issue. No apology, no accountability, just pure disregard for the emotional toll that comes with infertility. A fertility clinic should be a place of support and empathy, not humiliation and hostility. If this is how they treat people before they even walk through the door, I can only imagine the cold, impersonal experience patients receive in their actual care. If you value respect, compassion, and professionalism, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

I was with a previous Specialist and had the worst experience of my life. I had a very painful and traumatic HSG. I was told aggressively that if I wanted to get pregnant, I needed 2 different types of surgeries and straight to IVF. I felt defeated, scared and gave me extreme anxieties. I listened to my gut and switched to a different Specialist. I'm so happy I switched to Dr Gelman, I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have found him. The first day I met him I knew he would be the right Doctor for me. He's very calm, compassionate, also direct when he needs to. I found him very caring, funny & kind. He listened to all my concerns and anxieties, answered all of our long lists of questions. His positive energy eased all my anxieties. He recommended holistic approach: healthy diet, exercise, supplements, accupuncture, yoga, stretching and to keep my stress level low. I did them all, what an amazing self care regiment that all women should practice! His recommendations totally work! Trust in him, trust the process, trust yourself. He was very thorough with all the bloodwork & tests. He was honest that my ovarian reserve were low and percentage of success were lower with IUI but remains hopeful and he said to keep moving forward. He performed an SIS which he confirmed uterine polyps. He then recommended surgery, then 2 rounds of IUI, if IUI didn't work then IVF. Turns out, I didn't need IVF. I had surgery in January. First round of IUI in February, Second round of IUI in March. By April we are pregnant! Physically and mentally, it was all taking a toll on me. I'm so grateful to have Dr Gelman and his team by my side. During covid I had to do most appointments by myself. The nurses and the team at IVFMD Cooper City are so kind especially Mica who held my hand during SIS and made me comfortable every visits. Darlene the phlebotomist always smiling and positive. Nurses: Joselyn who made us laugh during IUI, Jennifer who delivered the pregnancy news to us. Leslie from Boca who was at the Cooper City office on a weekend to do my IUI, she said she would get us pregnant :) and she did! Dr Wood who did my surgery perfectly! She was very thorough and removed all the polyps, short and quick recovery post operation. She said the reason why I couldn't get pregnant is because the polyps were in the way, preventing implantation. The team of billing are great, so thorough. They explained everything. Honest with pricing, billing, provides clear itemized statements. They handled our insurance perfectly. We never had any issues from our insurance, everything was covered. They're so on point! Unfortunately, I decided to go back to try again. This time around things have changed. They went to a HORRIBLE communication service that is all texting and you can't get a human on the phone for your life. Fast forward. I needed a procedure prior to moving forward with IUI again. Dr. Taylor/Karch wanted to get me in as soon as possible due to timing. I was NOT communicated with timely, so I lost a whole cycle and had to wait 30 days to move forward. I was sent an email with a date and time to show up also told not to eat and drink or take aspirin before the surgery. No specific timing was mentioned. Fast forward to 23.5 hours prior to the procedure I get a notification from Prelude(the trash app they REQUIRE you to communicate through). First telling me that I should not take aspirin 7 days prior and stop taking a GLP-1 10 days prior. How is this proper communication? This is LIFE OR DEATH information that was NOT PROVIDED TIMELY. I also reached out 2 weeks ago to make sure I was financially prepared for this procedure. They tell me one amount 2 weeks ago and then increase the total by $50 more dollars (totaling $1165). Again within 24 hours of my procedure the app messages me that I need to contact my insurance provider and confirm my total. Again last minute they tell me my anesthesia and room are NOT COVERED because their anesthesiologist are third party and don't accept insurance. If I had known this I would have requested the procedure be done through a covered facility and anesthesiologist. Make this make sense. This practice is horrible. I will be sure to share this on all of the review sites possible. I am unsure what has happened to this practice, but it has really gone down hill in patient communication, trust and compassion
