Jennifer and her team are absolutely amazing- they seriously create floral sculptures! We used JCF for our wedding at BRICK in Point Loma, San Diego. We wanted a rustic/industrial vibe- a bit minimal with a few "pop" pieces. I shared my ideas with Jennifer, first via a Pinterest board, then on the phone (I live in Chicago and was planning from a distance). I wanted lots of eucalyptus and some loose and plush looking flowers. I was renting wood tables, and the venue was walled with historic brick. Jennifer then shared a proposal with her ideas and photos of what she was thinking. We revised together based on our ideas and spend, and ultimately what her and her team delivered on our wedding day was AMAZING. First of all, Jen had an awesome chuppah, and she decked it out with garlands of eucalyptus. We used it during the ceremony, and kept it in place when we flipped the room to our reception. She had us place our sweetheart table under it, and then decked that out with yet more eucalyptus and roses, and LOTS of candles. Actually, she put candles everywhere in gorgeous lanterns for the reception. I had not really thought about florals in combination with candlelight, but it completely made our wedding. For personal florals, Jen created lovely succulent-based pins for the men, and seriously plush and loose rustic arrangements for the women. My bouquet must have weighed 10 lbs! Five stars (and I would give six if possible)! Jennifer and her team significantly exceeded expectations w/ the flowers they provided for our wedding. Everything from my wife's bouquet, to the flower-covered arbor, to the flower arrangements that adorned the cocktail hour and dinner tables was simply stunning. At the beginning of the process, my wife provided Jennifer w/ several pictures of what she had in mind and Jennifer not only delivered exactly what was in the pictures but took it to the next level (including several surprise touches around the wedding venue). There were several moments during our wedding day where my wife and I just stood back and admired the beauty of what Jennifer and her team had created, especially in the tent where we had dinner. I don't even know where to start in describing how amazingly talented Jennifer Cole is. Jennifer and her team went above and beyond what we had expected (ahem to say my expectations were high was an understatement) and completely blew us away the day of our wedding. Jennifer had a vision for our venue from day one, and it was everything we could have even hoped for and MORE. Since the wedding, have a quick update. We had some very nice centerpieces on each table that contained sea shells, starfish, sand dollars. Apparently some of the guests thought these were available for them to take. So 10 starfish and 8 sand dollars were taken from the rental pieces. Understandably, we have been asked to pay for them. The rates are a bit high $12 for a large star fish? They sell for $5-7 online. Sand Dollars also marked up almost 100%. Then we were also charged for votives that we didn't end up needing, as we had negotiated them in with the hotel. This was communicated to Jennifer before the wedding, but she insists we didn't notify her. This was after a conversation that my wife and Jennifer had where Jennifer couldn't find any of the notes from our original consul, so I guess I'll believe my wife who is a Sr. Regional Dir. for a major retail company and manages several hundred stores in a 16 state area. So this error on JCF's side cost us another $200. Disappointing after an initial good first impression... at least the flowers were nice. read more

Jennifer did a phenomenal job on the flowers for my wedding at The Prado a few weeks ago, I really couldn't be happier. I didn't really know what type of flowers I was looking for and Jennifer was great at helping me figure out the style I wanted and she made everything look beautiful. She has pictures of her work at her studio and she will go through lots of photos with you to help you figure out what look you want to achieve. Jennifer made 18 centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, provided mercury glasses, votive candles, and decorated this stunning canopy that went over our cake for our wedding. She and her team were on time, set everything up very quickly and couldn't have been more professional. This review is LONG overdue. Jennifer Cole was one of the first vendors I booked - and I was absolutely clueless as to what I wanted and how to pull it all together. She sat with me for an hour and talked through EVERYTHING. I showed her pictures of what I liked and what I didn't, and she seemed to just understand without needing any kind of explanation. I left with no doubts or concerns about how the florals for my wedding would turn out. The day of was a bit of a mess (RAIN!) and she changed a few things up to accommodate the new indoor venue. I cannot say enough about Jennifer and her incredible artistic ability to pull off decorating a room. We just recently had my daughters wedding and working with Jennifer was the easiest part of the entire preparation. She is the consummate professional, both in her meetings prior to the function as well as her floral arrangements for the day itself. My daughter had a specific theme in mind and Jennifer nailed it right on the head. I have been to many functions and cannot remember one in which the flowers were so unbelievably well put together. The room genuinely looked like a page out of paradise. Every one of the 23 table had centerpiece florals beyond words. In addition her bouquets and boutonnieres were magnificent. What an eye!! I was very happy with the flowers that Jennifer provided at my recent wedding. I think the thing I was most impressed about was that she was able to understand the style we were going for when we met, and from a few examples I showed she was able to completely run with it. She was also flexible about all the changes I made throughout the process. The thing that I was most happy about were the bouquets and the boutioneers, which were both stunning. In particular, as the date got closer my husband bought a tie for him and his groomsmen that had colors that were different from what we had originally discussed. I was at first worried that the tie would clash with what we had initially chosen, but when I told Jennifer and sent her a picture of the tie, she completely ran with it. The result was gorgeous and really made their outfits. For me that demonstrated that even though it was outside of what we had talked about, she was able to understand what I was looking for, and deliver a result that was outstanding. It's a good thing when you have so much stuff to think about, to know that your vendor can get everything done without having to worry about it. She completely knows her stuff, and she is really good at getting a sense of what you're looking for. Jennifer Cole is hands down the best person to use for your wedding or special events florals. Her knowledge of florals, color schemes, balance and what works is second to none. She is truly an accomplished artist. She was fairly priced and upfront with me about costs and up charges (which were due to my specific expectations - not due to her simply charging more). Well I finally received a call back from JCF on day four. Someone stated that they had been out of town on vacation. If I give them the benefit of the doubt as to why they didn't return my calls, verses assuming the called me after seeing my review, I must say that it is a poor business practice to go on vacation without leaving a message as to when they would be available to return the call. They wouldn't have to say they were out of town - notice to burglars - but that they were booked and unavailable to return a call until such and such date. I would have been a frustrated event planner or bride if I was trying to get in touch with them during that time. So JCF, change your message next time you won't be returning a call "promptly." I started off my wedding planning journey by meeting with Jennifer after seeing her gorgeous work on her website. Florals were very important to me based on how much they add to the overall look of the wedding. Jennifer spent hours with my mom and I - came up with our whole color scheme, really understood what I wanted from day 1. It was a no brainer to hire her. Throughout the year that we were planning the wedding, we emailed frequently and she kept a file with countless emails back and forth and was up to speed on my contract when we met for our "mock up" (which by the way, I couldn't believe it when I saw what my centerpieces were going to look like). She is such a hard worker and truly takes great pride in her work. If you want to be "wow'ed" on your wedding day, and have your florals be 100 times even better than you could have ever expected, hire Jennifer. Her work is worth every penny. Jennifer Cole was our florist for our wedding at Hotel Del Coronado last month and she did an amazing job!!! Our flowers were beyond anything we could have ever imagined! We only met with her once, for a two hour consultation. We gave her an idea of what we were looking for and she made a lot of suggestions as well. She has a ton of photos to look through and a big showroom where she's able to display some of her decor. We had a pretty decent size budget but we didn't want to go over a certain amount. She provided a proposal a couple days later including everything I wanted to make it my dream wedding. She even provided a few complimentary items to help us stay within our budget. We were so busy with all the planning that we never met with her again like we planned to see our table settings but she assured me our flowers would be beautiful.
