    Thank you Bethany!! Bethany helped bring our dream florals to life for our wedding this past May. Everything was stunning and so beautiful. I do wish communication had been a little bit better at times - it took awhile to hear back from her sometimes and I often had to send follow up emails. I know May is a busy time for weddings though, so I can't blame her! The only other comment I have is that I had told her I wanted baby's breath incorporated into my florals as I was also doing some in my hair, so I wanted to tie it all together. Unfortunately on the day of, there wasn't baby's breath to be found. The florals were still absolutely gorgeous, I just wish she had remembered to include it. Otherwise, I loved working with Bethany! She was not there herself on the day of, but she was very easy to talk to and answered the many many questions I asked her throughout the process!

The thing that really did it for me was their unfair billing practices. They collected a deposit from me for over $3,000, but did not disclose to me that it was non refundable. After a month of working with them and minimal progress being made, I tried to talk to calmly and politely talk with them. Summer was exceptionally rude and confrontational and told me that I don't have to work with them if I don't want to, but they would not be refunding the deposit. They first claimed that the deposit was to secure the date only, but after they received the deposit, they claimed it was to be used towards their own in-house exorbitantly priced rentals. Their ever changing terms and lackadaisical spirit, coupled with Summer's corrosive behavior and vacuous promises made them very unpleasant to work with. This is not how one should run a business. Avoid!

Morgan kindly met us at our venue and we collectively came up with a design and plan. They put together a quote, and collected a deposit to the tune of a few thousand dollars. We then found out that the rental prices were exorbitantly high and they were constantly changing things. The first time they came to our venue, they charged a $65 one-time fee, but then somehow, they added four of these $65 visits even though we didn't ask for that. We found nicer tables for 40% cheaper, better linens for over 100% cheaper, etc. Furthermore, the initial itemized quote that they sent to us had a huge math/addition error to the tune of almost $1,000. This isn't acceptable. We brought all of this up, and this is where summer got involved and things began to go south. They informed us that they do not collaborate with other rental companies and that we MUST use their ridiculously priced rentals. We initially hired these people as planners, we never agreed to exclusively use them for rentals. We had a discussion with summer regarding this, and she was extremely disrespectful and flat out rude. She informed us that they will not be offering a refund, and we could walk away from our deposit and find someone else. The issue is that they did NOT disclose that this was their refund policy and they did not get a contract signed. Communicating back and forth with summer has been excruciatingly painful and exhausting and a total waste of time. We brought on planners for convenience and to streamline our workflow. They are trying to steal from us and engage in unethical business practices and continue to insist that they are entitled to our deposit. I don't recommend anyone do business with them if you want to minimize headache. We went from wanting to make our lives easy and convenient to now having the added burden of dealing with a lawsuit.

She thought of every detail, from preparing us in advance to get those dreamy photos (like the first kiss and cake cutting) to ensuring everything ran on schedule without a hitch. On the day, Elena was a true lifesaver. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, I never once had to worry about where I needed to be or what was next. She kept everything moving smoothly, pointing me in the right direction while allowing me to fully enjoy the company of our guests and the magic of the day. She was always upfront and gave me honest opinions especially when it came to where to splurge and save, and what could look good and what wouldn't. The last 2 months is where she really shined, helping us follow up with vendors on details, setting deadlines for me to book rentals, reviewing contracts and constantly doing sanity checks when I needed it. The day of, she came extremely prepared, everything flowed smoothly (except some technical issues on part of the venue) and she was great at going with the flow and just letting the vibe and natural mood of the day go, and fixing whatever problems I threw at her. We also had her as our florist and she truly out did herself- her prices were incredibly reasonable and she handled everything like a champ when her assistant got sick the day of the reception. She also took my back and forth floral design suggestions and changes very well, as I am quite particular on details in some areas and deferred to her expertise in others. I pulled up to Tivoli, and there was valet parking, I was able to get everything situated in the end, but I have certain individuals who made my entire shift for delivery services worth it. Quentin had helped me out in terms of emergency; he was able to provide a solution to my problem effortlessly and flawlessly. Joe in valet was ALSO able to properly direct and lead with clear and efficient communication. He let me know what was going on at the time and updated me when plans had changed slightly. Brian in security was able to communicate everything to me schedule wise. He directed me when I could deliver the cake without the bride or groom catching a glance, which I thought was extra special of him to do. He helped me with my carry in process and was a kind soul the entire time. Kristina (I apologize if I misspelled it!), helped me earlier in the day over the phone. She gave me a rundown of the wedding itinerary when requested and had eased my nerves incredibly when I discovered cake cutting time wasn't until later into the day! She did not waste my time, and her call was only a matter of a couple minutes filling me in. The pattern is clear and honestly, it's a huge red flag. The venue itself is beautiful -- but it's paired with staff who: Lack basic professionalism, don't know what they're doing, Have zero communication system, lack leadership, make inappropriate comments in front of guests, are visibly stressed and disorganized, and consistently reply "I don't know" to every important question. One staff member even loudly called the wedding "the biggest sh*t show of my life". I could write a novel regarding the issues that I witnessed and experienced at this venue. The lack of leadership was painfully obvious. After reading other reviews, it seems our experience is not isolated -- and the venue's responses often deflect rather than address concerns.

She recommended vendors who, on our wedding day, delivered top-tier service. She is well-connected within the San Diego wedding industry and is beloved by these vendors, and I understand why.
