Choosing an artful and intentional florist was a top priority for me when it came to wedding planning. Our planner recommended bloom babes and it was love at first sight! We had the most whimsical & colorful arch, ceremony decorations, bouquets, and tablescapes. It truly felt like we were in a secret garden with wild flowers galore. They were so fun to work with and were so flexible through the many changes we put them through (change of date, amounts of each item, etc). I cannot recommend them enough for your wedding day or any special event. During COVID I even ordered a bouquet from them for Mother's day which turned out beautiful! You will not go wrong if you book Bloom babes for your event!

I knew we wanted a beautiful bouquet, but we wanted to have another gorgeous accent piece, and I imagine a floral neckpiece and they made it happen. I could not have been more pleased with the final product. I gave them a vague color scheme, and just said, do you're thing... and boy did they ever, and did not disappoint. It's a relief to bring on creative masterminds to projects like this where you don't have to continually give direction but trust that they will come up with something perfect, and they did! Thanks ladies for your hard work and innovative designs. Cannot wait to work together again!!!

I was very particular about the types of flowers used, and Jerri even did a mock trial with me a year before the wedding so everything looked the way I wanted. I was a very detail-oriented bride, so she made sure that all her ideas went by me first. She took her time to explain what would be out of season, and how things would look if we did them a certain way. Behind the reception sweetheart table arch there is a fireplace, and she was so right in adding a pipe and drape! We also initially ordered shorter stands for the round table centerpieces, and Jerri suggested borrowing the taller ones from epic events and they were perfect! One of my bridesmaids is allergic to chamomile, so Jerri made sure to not include it in her bouquet or at her reception table! The only non-issue we had was that the centerpieces were too big for anyone to put in their car! Haha! No worries - everyone made their own bouquets using the many many flowers around the venue to bring home after the party. :) If you are a wedding couple with Jerri as your florist - you are LUCKY! She is so amazing and made all my floral dreams come true.

The first proposal Kiyoko sent me was not really on point for my wedding and was a little more trendy/rustic than what my taste is; however, Kiyoko gladly re-did the proposal and got it perfect. Kiyoko also made changes here and there as our wedding got closer and sent updated proposals along the way. She also handled delivering the flowers to us for getting ready while also delivering the flowers to the Church, and after that, the reception venue. She arrived on time, did a beautiful job, and it was so nice not having to worry about the flowers and trusting Kiyoko had everything handled. I highly recommend Kiyoko to anyone getting married!

She was so informative and very open to our ideas while providing great suggestions. I had a VERY particular vision in mind for our wedding florals including a very specific lavender color and a wild look, and I was floored at how perfect they were on the day of. I couldn't stop staring at my bouquet because I was just so obsessed with it! She was even nursing a leg injury on our wedding day and still showed up and kicked butt with her team. She's amazing!

I wish I had a better review to write as Alona was great to work with in the beginning…read more Unfortunately, the area I was most disappointed on my wedding day was the florals. I was very specific about my floral vision and discussed in detail with Alona several times on what I wanted. Specifically for reception, the most important floral element for me was the sweetheart table. We discussed repurposing the ceremony florals to create a full, circular arch behind the sweetheart table with additional florals around the base of the table. She had assured me we would have enough florals from the ceremony to repurpose to not only the sweetheart table, but also the welcome table/bar/cake table as well. I even bought more florals for the ceremony arch to achieve this sweetheart table vision. However, this is not what we received. On the day of the wedding, Alona's team told us the start of our reception needed to be delayed by approximately 30 minutes because they were still working on the reception florals. We waited to seat our guests because we wanted to give them the time they needed to finish. Despite the delay, the sweetheart table installation was still extremely sparse and looked unfinished. The arch behind us was mostly bare and there were only two floral arrangements on the ground. I have attached the inspiration pic we discussed and the final result. I was mortified when I saw it - it looked so bare and incomplete. Additionally, this delay threw off the rest of our reception timeline. Dinner had to be shortened so we ended up having to skip "table touching", which was something we had really been looking forward to. I was very sad and disappointed when I walked into the reception because the sweetheart table was one of the elements we had discussed in detail as I cared a lot about it. The ceremony arch had a significant amount of florals, so I am still confused about what happened during the repurposing process. I am confused where the ceremony arch flowers went, since they don't appear to have been used to create the sweetheart table installation nor were there any flowers at the bar, cake table, or welcome table. I reached out to Alona after the wedding to understand what happened. It has now been almost three weeks without a response. I would have appreciated the courtesy of at least an explanation. Paying 5 figures for florals to have the sweetheart table look like this is incredibly disappointing. When I look back at my reception photos, I get upset with how bad and bare it looked. Don't even get me started on the ceiling florals that started to fall during the reception. I highly do not recommend Chic Flowers.

Unfortunately, her communication from the start was spotty at best and required excessive prompting on my end. She repeatedly promised quotes and proposals by specific dates and failed to follow through. While I understand that wedding season is busy, this does not excuse consistently poor communication and lack of follow-through when working with clients who are planning such important events. To illustrate, here's a brief timeline: 5/28: Alona emails me in response to an inquiry submitted to her website, asking when I'll be available for a phone consultation. I reply same-day with my availability. 6/8: No response; I follow up. 6/9: She offers a phone consultation for 6/10. 6/10: Phone consultation; she promises a proposal by the next day. 6/12: No proposal; I follow up. She promises to send by 6/13. 6/16: Still nothing; I follow up again. 6/17: Finally receive a proposal. 6/19 - 6/22: Back-and-forth revisions; budget and design issues arise. 6/24: I follow up via phone and text after no response. Still no reply as of 7/2. In the end, I chose to move forward with another florist whose communication, professionalism, and enthusiasm gave me far more peace of mind. I firmly do not recommend working with Alona if you value reliability and clear communication during your wedding planning process.

We got engaged shortly after moving to San Diego, and were nervous about finding a great florist to work with, given our lack of local knowledge and personal connections. Our worries were totally alleviated after our wedding planners introduced us to Hannah of Modern Bouquet. Hannah is not only so talented at her craft, but is one of the kindest and sweetest vendors we had the pleasure of working with on our big day. I knew I wanted something classic and timeless for florals, but wasn't sure exactly how to make that vision come to life. On a planning call with Hannah, she made such wonderful suggestions about the types of flowers and arrangements that she would suggest using to make my vision come to life. On the day of the wedding, the florals were beyond anything I could have imagined. One of the stars of the show (in my mind!) was the pergola Hannah helped design and create, which stunned both me and all of our guests. Everything from our ceremony aisle flowers, to table arrangements, to my bouquet were perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything more, and can't believe how lucky we were to have worked with someone like Hannah. Not only is Hannah talented enough to bring your wildest flower dreams to life, but she is SO kind and sweet. She was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. When it was time to leave our wedding, I was so sad to leave the flowers behind in their prime, but Hannah told me the next day that our flowers had been donated to a senior living home to be enjoyed by all of the patients and nurses. That small touch from Hannah was the cherry on top of an amazing experience. To sum up, hire Hannah for your wedding! You won't regret it.
