The lady at the location on highway 71 and mopac was who I talked with next and she addressed all my issues and went the distance to help me resolve my issues. If it wasnt for her today being the professional that she is, I was gonna be closing out my account. I dont know her name but she has the whitest hair I've ever seen and she was so patient and professional that I wanna give her the credit due. UFCU needs to realize what a valuable asset she is to this company and keep her around. The two different people I spoke with at the ufcu on ben white was horrible with no understanding or patience that I left and went to the mopac location prepared to close my account with UFCU but the blonde hair lady saved the day and restored my trust and confidence in this bank. I have recommended 6 people who have active accounts with ufcu and are happy with their banks and after today, i shall keep recommending ufcu as the best bank in Austin texas and maybe the best bank in the whole state or Texas. Thank you UFCU but more importantly thank you to the blonde hair lady at the mopac location, you rock and I am grateful you work here and was able to help me.

Then, after I mentioned I was a local business owner and a patron of that location UFCU for 20+ years he smirked and laughed at me. I cursed him out and asked for my money back, stating I was going to go to another bank. BUT he refused to return my money. Instead, the screen went black in the drive thru, and his manager got on and refused to give me back my money until I told him what happened. I did, and then, he tried to suggest a different situation happened, to cover up for the inappropriate attitude and behavior of UFCU refusing to let me deposit money into my own bank account. When I didn't go along, and restated, as I've typed what actually happened he got irritated and tried to get me to reword my complaint again to match his version not reality. At this point I brought my smart phone up into the air, and in his line of sight from the bank camera, and stated, "I'm going to start recording this conversation if you don't give me back my money, and I'm going to take this recording to the branch manager above you." Without empathy, without intelligence and just rudeness, he hung up, black screen on the drive thru window, and finally I got my money back that I went to another bank, and deposited easily without this drama and petty bs. Do NOT use UFCU - they are not the same as they used to be.

Day off...errands day...first I need to deposit funds in my zero balance account with Navy Federal…read moreCredit Union.. So how did you get a zero balance account, you might ask? Great question! I filled out an application for Navy Federal credit Union, which has only one branch in Round Rock, TX (suburb of Austin, TX). I was awaiting a call or email indicating I had been approved. Instead, I received a debit card and a bank statement with $0 balance. Well, I received a whole list of ATMs and credit unions where I could make a deposit. Credit union #1 from the list didn't exist. Next, went to Randolph Brooks Credit Union to make my deposit. They told me they do not take deposits for Navy Federal Credit Union. They did not offer to contact Navy Federal Credit Union nor help any other way! Ugggh! This credit union relationship is off to a great start. Nothing like being on a wild goose chase! Terrible customer experience....

=============== PROS:…read more=============== * Staff has always been friendly and helpful to me. * Probably the lowest rate for auto loans around. * Once you have a Savings account, you can open a Money Market account online with just a few clicks, without having to visit a branch. * Coin machine lets you exchange your coins for bills with no commission. * Good system to get alerts by text message, much more useful/complete than Chase. * Website is pretty fast, faster than UFCU. Also doesn't stupidly spawn a new window/tab when you log in like UFCU. =============== CONS: =============== * Can download only the last 5 months of statements! This alone is so egregious I can't rate more than two stars. * Can see only the last 1.5 months of activity online. There's no obvious way to see older transactions, like a "Next page" button or link. There's actually a way to see older transactions, but it's both completely non-intuitive and extremely cumbersome: You click the "Search" button and type in your dates. (forehead slap) And when you do it that way, the site no longer shows you the running balance. * Can't sort transactions chronologically. * No memo field for account transfers. * Not a part of the national shared co-op branch network. * Payments on loans paid from an RBFCU Savings or Money Market account take up to one day to post. At UFCU, they're instant. * Pretty low limit for check deposits by mobile phone. I don't remember the limit, but it's lower than I have for UFCU and Chase. I would mention the amount here, but of course they don't bother to mention what the limit is on the Deposit screen of the app.

Whatever you're told you're going to make will be reduced by so called fees that you have no idea what they are. OMG! Had I not made a decision to apply based off the commercial hype and instead read the reviews…read morethat mattered, I would have save my family a whole week of anxiety by not even visiting the site, let alone putting in an application. Clearly, all ofthe reviews above a 2 Star were created by Orchard. They probably have a department dedicated to generating positive hype DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE. Our experience began with Jayson Symon (if that's even his real name. Everything is suspect about this company now) Jayson contacted me several days later than he agreed after my application was approved and only after I sent 3 request for updates. He then gave what was supposed to be a VA Pre-approval but was actual an FHA. He never produced the VA nor Conventional Pre-approval letters and later is accused of not producing the Cash Offer Letter needed by 2 additional persons (Lottie and Jay, who are also as unprofessional as they come), Jayson offered excuse after fabricated excuse for disappearing at crucial periods. Lottie nor Jay ever gave last names which should have been a red flag too. The 2 of them scheduled us for showing and postponed it less than 2 hours before the showing citing that seller agent needed pre-approval. No problem since Jayson had generated one. Then Lottie Dottie (yeah, I gave a last name since she didn't offer one) puts us on stand-by because now the seller's agent wants proof of funds which should be no problem according to the model Orchard claims to have. 3 days later and in this market, we are still in stand-by mode with no communication from anyone at Orchard which prompts me to do what I should have done from the jump; read 2 star or less reviews. Well, I can personally attest that our experience mirrors the experience of the 1 and 2 star reviews so far. After reading and comparing notes, I terminated Orchard officially, not that they were doing anything to terminate. I took an unnecessary point drop on my credit report dealing with these people. I don't k ow what their angle is but because of all the information they collected, my insticts are telling me to put an identity theft watch in place while waiting for an eventual class action to be filed against this company. I am reporting to AG myself to get investigation started. Do not give thos company your information.
