Unfortunately it was very disappointing. We had potato pancakes for an appetizer. I wish I'd known they were deep fried rather than pan fried. They were thick, had nice flavor, but with being deep fried kinda greasy. I had the Warsaw platter again. The Polish sausage was so overcooked it was extremely dried out. The stuffed cabbage was not only dry and crumbly, but the cabbage wrapper was burned black in several places. The pierogi was overcooked and the outer part of it was hard and difficult to cut thru with a knife. I think they might have been deep fried too. The sauerkraut was so-so. I kept eating as I felt saying anything to our waitress would useless. She was not welcoming from the time we arrived and was actually quite distant. I don't know if she might be having a bad day, but it was very uncomfortable. I finally did say something about my meal and to my surprise she offered to get me something else or comp a dessert. Honestly I wanted neither. I just really wanted the same quality of the meal I had last time. My dining partner had stroganoff that she said was just okay, but the onions in it were so hard she couldn't even bite thru them. We did get comped a dessert, carrot cake, that was incredibly ice cold. I also was not charged for my meal. Another waitress asked about my experience and I told her the condition of the food. She said she hoped we'd be back again to give them another try, but it's really unlikely. How does almost everything on a variety plate turn out so off the mark? As it turned out the woman sitting at the table next me also had stuffed cabbage, which she said was very dry as well. She was a regular customer too. I grew up eating Polish food on the south side of Chicago, the daughter of an immigrant from there, and never in my life have I had ever a bad Polish meal, be it cooked at home or in a restaurant, but tonight was the night. I was told it was the same cook too, so who knows what happened. I likely won't return to find out.

There is a handicapped access at the rear of the building, leading to an elevator, but it's designed for wheelchairs or scooters because the ramp is very long. For a person with mobility difficulty who can still walk, this would be a very long walk and they'd probably do better with the stairs. My husband has this issue and he concurred.
