Jenkins Orthodontics is a professional environment that takes every customer seriously. All of the staff is extremely patient and friendly. The technicians are well qualified, and handle children delicately. There is an assortment of video games for the kids which is maybe more fun than it should be. I had a year's long regimen of braces, and it went without a hitch. Replacing broken brackets is a 5 minute painless procedure. Having braces is a two way street, so as long as you brush your teeth and follow Dr. Jenkins's instructions you will have no problem. However, nobody is perfect, and he knows it so never fear a guilt trip. In all, Jenkins Orthodontics is a stress-free environment if you want it to be. All of the staff make you feel at home, and you have nothing to fear when making an appointment. I started using Jenkins Orthodontics when my daughter needed braces, I went on the referral of a friend and was more then satisfied with the results. My daughter got braces at age 11 16 months later the braces were taken off the and kid has the prettiest smile you will ever see all because of Dr. David Jenkins. He is amazing, she had one tooth that was slightly off, he didn't stop adjusting her retainer until her teeth were perfect. His staff is very friendly and profession and the best part of all is that these people NEVEr make you wait long, I thnk the longest I have ever waited is 5 minutes. If I could give ZERO stars I would. My daughter had her braces put on two years ago. During those two years she went religiously for her maintenance appointments. When Dr. Jenkins said she was ready to have her braces come off I questioned him and said, "Are you sure her teeth are ready? I still can see the overbite". He said, "Absolutely, she is ready". As he was her orthodontist, we went with his expert opinion. When the braces were removed, her overbite was very apparent. Two years later, her teeth are no better than when we started. We went back to Dr. Jenkins about our concerns and he recommended we file down her teeth which we are against. We took our daughter for two other consultations and both orthodontists said she needs 4 teeth pulled (orthodontists never want to pull teeth) and braces put back on for another two years. Dr. Jenkins' cost was over $5,000. What a waste of time and money. I feel horrible for my daughter. She will now have to have braces in high school and would have worn braces for a total of four years, with an additional cost of another $6,000. Dr. Jenkins' reaction to this was "Her face will grow into her teeth". What a joke! I am reporting him to the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF ORTHODONTISTS. After speaking with other people we heard this has happened before. We wish we knew this before we went to him. read more
