You won't have to pay a dime out of pocket, even if you have 12 cavities in your mouth. I also love the goody bags that they always send me away with. Electric toothbrush? Awesome!

Also, his hygienist Jade is no longer with the practice and the new hygienist leaves much to be desired, is a bit unprofessional at times, and does not perform as thorough of a cleaning. My experience with the new team is as follows: 1. Whereas doctor Lipner would explain why I should get my cavities filled right away for my health, the new dentists approach was to tell me that I should get them filled because I have enough funds on my insurance to pay for it. That was definitely a turn off for me from ever going to that dentist or trusting him with my teeth. 2. On one occasion where I was 15minutes late for my appointment and apologized as I came in, the hygienist looked at the clock and tells me well I don't know I'll see what I can do as I have another patient after you. Really?! For a $240 cleaning I don't want to get a "see what I can do service," in any case after proceeding to say that they could have told me on the phone and I would have rescheduled, the hygienist with an attitude proceeded to say "that's not what I said," suffice it to say I did not feel comfortable during the rushed cleaning, nor was it done well. Very sad to see what was once a very professional and upscale establishment really deteriorate due to new staff.

Patience from a dentist is hard to find now that every dentist has multiple bookings and they jump from treatment room to treatment room. Dr Mathe has 3 stations set up but he only works with one patient at a time. Maybe they will prep the next patient in the next room but no back and forth. I have kids. One, which was terrified of the dentist, now goes without issues to Dr. Mathe. Previously he was afraid to open his mouth to other dentists. Dr. Mathe explains and talks to kids at their level and makes it a positive experience and is therefore able to actually do a proper cleaning and treatment. Give Dr. Mathe a try and you wont want to move so far away that you can't drive back for appointments. We have all new doctors at our new home but we kept our Dentist the same. Love love love this man and his staff!!!!!!

Absolutely do not recommend this practice…read more I ended up here for an emergency appointment in March of 2024. I went back for a cleaning & they talked me into spending $900 out of pocket for perio trays, which were going to heal my gums, and "push the gel up into the gums" I used the trays but never saw any improvement. Went back to a previous dentist that was in network & now closer to where I moved. They asked me when my last cleaning was, and I said March of 2024. They said that some of my build up was black, meaning it has been there for quite a while and there's no way the previous place did any level of quality cleaning. I told them about the perio trays, and they had never even heard of them and said that it was absolutely impossible for anything to be pushed up into the gums like Art of Smile convinced me the perio trays do. At this time, they referred me to a periodontist for an evaluation because of gum inflammation & bleeding and I had a deep scaling done & gums already feel & look better in TWO WEEKS with 90% less bleeding. Periodontist never heard of Perio trays either. In summary, The Art of Smile: - Didn't do a quality teeth cleaning - Wasted $900 dollars out of pocket for something that wasn't even capable of what they claimed - Never mentioned that they didn't take my insurance, so everything was taken out of my small out of network amount - Didn't inform me of the level of my gum issue - Didn't refer me to a periodontist or recommend a deep cleaning - Had to chase them for months for a receipt for FSA - which disabled my card for months, then couldn't even provide me with an itemized receipt (HOW?) - There was a small space between two of my teeth, AOS told me I should just replace both teeth to fill in the gap. That gap was caused by my gum inflammation and will close as my gums heal after the deep scaling. - When I complained to them, they didn't even apologize. Just told me they'd remove me from their list & have a good day. All of these things, allowed my condition to worsen. This practice is absolutely deplorable, and the fact that you can't hold any of these horrible places accountable is astonishing. I don't ever write reviews, but I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through and waste their time or money.

The environment there is always warm and friendly, and you instantly feel comfortable and as though you have known them all for years. What dentist's office offers you tea from a gorgeous tea set, a cookie after every visit, and all sorts of other goodies and gift certificates to provide family and friends you refer?!? The geniuses at Tavormina Dentistry, that's who! I had an appointment the day before my birthday this year and as I was getting out of the chair to leave I see the entire staff walking towards me with candles in a cake singing me happy birthday!! That is just one of many examples of this office going above and beyond to make sure you feel recognized and appreciated as their patient, which comes through in everything they do! Even more importantly, Dr. Tavormina's work is impeccable.
