They will overcharge you by lying to you that your insurance will cover everything. I called to make an appointment for a regular cleaning and to verify my insurance was covered. And of course they said yes. I asked again when I got there and they said they verified with my insurance that it's covered. Then after the services were done. I asked what do I owe? They said nothing, there's no copay or anything. Then a few weeks later I get text saying I owe a few hundreds dollars. Now they sending mailers every week asking for the money. Threatening with collections. What am I supposed to do when I was lied to 3 times that I was covered for a basic dental cleaning procedure. I could of done Groupon for $50 instead they want me to pay 5 times that for $249. I don't get it. How is that a company who practices dentistry in NJ doesn't know what plans are fully covered or not by heart? There can't be that many NJ dentist plans to give incorrect info 3 times. I feel completely scammed. It's very disappointing as I didn't think the services performed were bad. Another reviewer stated the same issue, so I am not the only one. It's sad how corrupt people are when it comes to money. read more

I usually don't post reviews , but I think it is important for consumers to receive an honest review of what to expect to find in a dental office . In my experience the office staff is inexperienced , lacks dental and medical knowledge , is in a rush to complete their tasks and does not listen to the patient's concerns. I do not recommend this office if you have any medical issues, or any presentation that is not the normal. I had pain during a procedure ( and I have had other dentists I can compare it to ) and my pain was not listened to or investigated . The dental technicians speak unprofessionally , do not give sound recommendations, bully you into complying to their timeline , do not ask the dentist if they don't know the answer to a question, make comments out of their field , give inaccurate information and if they won't know the answer to a question they seem to make it up. Dr Alexa Gruber is kind on the surface , but seems to lack experience , which is okay if you are willing to learn and be humble enough to know that there is room for growth. I had no pain in 2 teeth that I was repeatedly told according to X-rays needed work , i finally agreed, trusting the dentist , during the procedure I had terrible pain and I received eyerolls in return instead of investigation . Even after the area "healed" I still have chronic pain , I gave the dentist multiple chances to address my concerns but was not listened to ,instead I was told to work on another tooth that I am not experiencing pain in . when I responded that I didn't want to move forward I was presented with attitude. A molar that my daughter had filled needed to refilled again by another dentist 6 months later because the filling came out, she ultimately needed a root canal . I understand that these incidents could have been purely a coincidence , but the extreme unprofessional behavior of the staff in conjunction with my personal experience made me decide to never go back . read more

I have had the pleasure of seeing both Dr. Grubers and Dr. Novak, and I couldn't be more impressed with their individual and collective talent, empathy, and knowledge. I'm always at ease with them, because I am in great hands and I know it. Also: Alicia is a magician with her --also painless-- teeth-cleaning technique. And everyone at the front desk is very nice and friendly. I should also add that during the Covid19 pandemic the office is following a very strict safety protocol, for which I am very thankful. The administrative staff at this Dental office is terrible! I had a work emergency while waiting to be seen (often long waits) and had to take the call while I was sitting in their waiting room waiting to be seen and when I got off the phone they told me that I missed my appointment and proceeded to bill me for $100 broken appointment fee. Please beware because while their website states that a fee may be charged for missed appointments - $100 is outrageous. Most missed appointments are around $25 dollars and I was physically there. They are now threatening to report me to a collection agency! This is outrageous, especially when I have had to sit there patiently so many times, having to reschedule my own appointments because of their delays, but the moment I have to take a call while in the waiting room, they suddenly now want to charge me $100! I will report them to my insurance company for abusive practices and suggest that folks not use this Dental practice! No other office that I know of would treat their patients like this, especially since me and my son have been patients there for over 8 years! read more

I was very fortunate to have found Dr.Novak when I needed an emergency dental visit. Not many dentist would have seen a new patient on a SUNDAY! I came to him because I was having a severe toothache and being 32 weeks pregnant did not make it any easier. Dr.Novak saw me immediately and literally took my pain away. I was crying for weeks with this tooth pain and after leaving his office I was smiling. I will definitely be going back to him for all future work.
