I had tried the same frames on in-store and they had fit perfectly. These, however, were way off. When I explained this to the fitter, my concerns were completely ignored. I was told my face was "asymmetrical". While that may be true, I have worn glasses since childhood and am not manifestly deformed in any significant way. This ridiculous clerk continued to tell me that the lenses had deformed the frames so this was how they were supposed to fit. I've bought $5 readers from COSTCO that fit better. After a few rounds of further gaslighting, I gave up. No offer to adjust the frames was made. No other solution was offered. No real customer service was offered. The "manager" was of zero help, except to walk me to the counter to refund my money. Just a complete waste of time. It's a shame because Dr. Rose is lovely and as good as they come but the optical dept is a tire fire. Avoid at all costs.

Fields Family Eye care was the closest optometrist so I went straight there for help. Not only were they THE friendliest business I've had the pleasure to have visited...they put new nose pads on, cleaned the glasses & tightened all the micro-screws too. When it came time to pick new frames and decide on sunglasses, Andrew was very patient and helpful. I took a lot of time with the sunglasses, and had many questions about the lenses available with both my glasses and sunglasses. As a bonus both my glasses and sunglasses arrived quicker than I expected. I was very pleased with the experience overall.

They charge a fee for using a credit card and essentially have no return policy for any prescription frames, only a $50 "restyling fee" for exchanging them. I didn't see any signs indicating this information, nor were these policies clearly listed on their website, so I didn't find any of this out until we reached checkout. At least for the frames we selected, there was no warranty. (If you want, you can pay extra and get a warranty for the lenses) When the glasses came in, the prescription itself seemed fine, but the person adjusting the frames did a poor job. (Frames were slightly skewed to one side, but he said to give it a few days to make sure it wasn't an adjustment period problem.) However, the next time my daughter put them on, she noticed that her peripheral vision was blurry. We asked our regular doctor about it after getting a firmer adjustment, and their conclusion was that it was perhaps a difference in frame shape/material quality causing the issue. (As the prescription itself was correct) The glasses are obviously no good for driving, but because the return policy is so lacking, we feel that there isn't much we can do besides keep them. This shop does have very convenient hours and fast service, and since we were only shopping for frames, I cannot speak to the quality of their in-house doctors.
