They encourage purchasing their eye glasses -- got it. However, if you wish to purchase your eye glasses elsewhere they retain your Pupillary Distance (PD) number (two-digit millimeter measurement) from your prescription and charge $35 for this information. Mind you, this process takes them no more than 2 minutes and is part of your appointment regardless. And this number is part of MY PRESCRIPTION. This would be like your primary care provider retaining the dosage from your prescribed medication if you do not purchase from their pharmacy and charging you outside of your insurance coverage as an extra fee. This should be illegal or something. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!

The facility design places too much emphasis on selling frames and not on the testing areas. the pre test are is cramped and messy. Waiting areas need to be separated from the contacts station, so unless you like watching folks struggle to put in contacts for the first time, move to the back waiting area. The prices charged for frames is very high compared to various on line alternatives.

We have spent a week digging through old EOBs and calendars to check on the date of service, etc. to no avail. I feel we're held hostage to something they can arbitrarily make up on their own and we're stuck. We can only guess at the insurance, but what it looks like they billed does not have a dependent eye care program for retirees. Very odd and suspicious on FOA's part. I paid the bill, but I would never recommend them to anyone. Billing is obviously scary and from what I can remember regarding the eye-care for our kids, it was only fair to average. Do yourself a favor and go to My Eye Dr, service is exceptional and insurance, billing, and payments are handled before you walk out the door. No surprises

Dr. Kevin is fantastic! My son and I had our appointments same day and our first time…read moreIn the office. Dr. Kevin answered all my questions and some concerns that I had for my self . He explains everything in such detail for you to understand and not get lost in medical terminology. I was a bit nervous about getting my eyes dilated due to in the past I would get a massive migraine afterwards and let him know that as well. With that being said he use a far less percentage and made sure through out the whole appointment if I was okay and I was! No migraine at all. My son was also nervous about getting drops in his eyes due to him not ever having drops in his eyes before and again Dr. Kevin talked to him and made him laugh and my son says "that wasn't bad at all!" I'll continue to recommend Dr.Kevin. For not only being caring and compassionate, but really making you feel as you matter and your just not "just another patient"
