Although we knew this was far from normal, we used the machine for awhile longer before calling Mark's. The phone was answered professionally and cheerfully, and Mark arrived promptly the next day at the time we were told he would be here. Mark diagnosed the problem and told us what repair would entail in terms of labor and approximate cost. We don't know whether the repair person we had previously was incapable of identifying the problem , or whether he was incapable of or unwilling to do such an extensive repair, but another time we'll call Mark's first.

I seemed to really be putting him out by the sound of his sigh when he had to look for the price. He finally told me what it was and I thanked him. He simply hung up without a "you're welcome", "thank you", "have a nice day" "good bye". Very poor customer service that will prevent me from using this establishment.

He was willing to share his knowledge and allow the homeowner to watch the repair, as well as to share tips for keeping the dryer in good shape. I want to make a note that I did not call Garry at first because of some of the negative reviews, but I'd like the community to know that my experience of Garry was the complete opposite of their stories. I have lived here and worked with many service providers in the area over the past 20 years and Garry stands out as a man of integrity. The next day (4-21) Blackman Appliance Repair came. I asked if the refrigerator was worth fixing, Gary thought it was. I needed a new computer board. That with his labor came out to be over $500. If I had known that I would have put that toward a new one. 3 weeks later it was NOT WORKING AGAIN. I called and Blackman said he'd come by Tues. Needless to say he never came . Weeks have passed without a word or visit, so we just bought a new refrigerator.
