Sad to say that our experience was pretty awful with MCES. They were handling all of our HVAC and…read morewater treatment systems, basically the entire crawl space was their work and world. A 3 year-old propane-fed wall boiler failed on us and after about 25 hours of service labor it was discovered that it had been installed improperly - the boiler had been setup for natural gas instead of propane. Manufacturing reps flagged that this may significantly impact the longevity of the boiler. This was bad news as we had just purchased the house and were hoping to get the stated 15-20 years out of this boiler. Instead, we were limping along after 4. MCES customer manager continued to try to convince us that they could "fix" the boiler and get it running but after three separate outages in the dead of winter with no hot water or heat (water-fed in floor and baseboard heating) for 2-3 days, I demanded they replace the boiler at their cost. They finally agreed and I asked them to recommend a new boiler that they trusted and were "comfortable servicing and working on going forward," as we wanted to keep their service contracts. Within two months the new propane boiler failed. We asked another service contractor to come out and take a look to get a second opinion. They immediately flagged 3-4 different issues all stemming from initial install that MCES did four years earlier. Manufacturing rep came out and without hesitation told us to "shut the boiler down for your own safety," saying the piping was not up to code and was going to cause larger issues if not replaced immediately. We asked MCES to cover some of this cost and their response was, "Find a good lawyer." Never again will we deal with MCES.

I am very disappointed and angry with CMP. I have called and emailed multiple times. I have asked…read moreto speak with their board of directors as well. They refused to give me any contact information. My daughter moved into a home in January of this year, when she flew from Oregon to Maine to live with her father. Prior to January, they were living in my home under my care. These young girls are not seasoned renters; they are barely adults who were trying to build a relationship with Liliana's estranged father. What followed was a tragic and destabilizing series of events. Her father was arrested in March for domestic violence, and his wife moved out shortly thereafter. My daughter and I were both assured by him that he would continue to cover rent and utilities, as they had only just arrived. However, after his arrest, the court barred him from returning to his home. My daughter was a witness in the case. Since then, they have been left alone to manage the aftermath of his legal and financial abandonment. They are not responsible for the electricity as they were living WITH others. They are not responsible for HIS bill. All previous usages should be billed to the account holder. Especially since they have been told he was going to court to come back home. These young women are now scraping by with minimal income. I'm helping them as best I can with food and gas, but they simply cannot afford to be saddled with someone else's unpaid utility bill, especially one incurred before they ever moved in. But CMP put all of the usage in their name and now have slapped them with a nearly $400 bill! I asked CMP with sincere urgency and compassion to waive or remove the back charges from their account. They are not the account holders for the period in question, and holding them responsible for his bill would only further penalize them for circumstances they never asked for. They did not care at all and basically just shrugged their shoulders and said, "Oh well." If anyone has the board of director's contact information please send them this review. Or send it to me. heather.conner1976@gmail.com

Their brown outs cause damage to electronics and their employees are slow to respond to power outages. As a result, I'm going full-solar just in order to keep from freezing during the winter. Do yourself a favor, don't move to Maine. Do yourself another favor and don't ever become a CMP customer. I must also mention the 40-50% rate increases while the service goes south.

I called Maine oxy in CT to repair a miller 350 synchcrowave tig welder for a low power issue…read more They picked up the the welder and sent it to Maine for repair the next day. After 2 1/2 weeks of poor communication when the welder will be returned, the repair ended up being a bad toggle switch on the panel. The report said the welder tested good when it left their shop. I go to use the welder once it returned, and not only is the power line to the torch burnt out, but now it leaks water all over the floor. The radiator for the Bernard cooler has a big crack in it from being frozen while sitting on the truck in -30 degree weather. I reported the problem to them on 2/9. 3 weeks later they offered to install a new cooler for free... I just need to pay for the cooler!!!!!!!!!! My cooler was working fine, with no leaks, when it left my shop and working fine when it left their shop. It worked fine when the welder left the repair facility in Maine, but was a disaster when it arrived back in CT. It is now 3/16. After many Emails and a few phone calls. They have not gotten back to me with an offer to replace the cooler or even repair the old one. In my opinion this is a poor company and a terrible way to conduct a business.

Now we can all breath a sigh of relief and take a nice warm shower! Greatly appreciated. **ORIGINAL** I called around to see if I could get delivery during the week. I spoke with Kayla on Tuesday evening who gave wonderful advice and said that I could put diesel in my indoor tank to get me through until a delivery could be made. She said she had space on Friday. I called and left a voicemail for Kayla early Wednesday morning and sent an email to the general mailbox (just in case) to schedule the delivery. Kayla called me back shortly after she received my message and said that she could still fit me in on Friday and added me to the schedule (hooray!). Once scheduled, I called and cancelled my order with another company that was going to try to deliver on Friday, but would definitely be able to deliver by Monday. A couple of hours later, I received an email from Stephanie that said that there was no room until Tuesday; I disregarded it because I had already scheduled the delivery with Kayla and I knew they must be super busy and just had lines crossed. Stephanie then called at the end of the day to apologize for taking so long to call and I assured her it was ok. I told her I spoke Kayla earlier regarding scheduling and that I was scheduled for Friday. ....fast forward to Friday... I started to worry around 3 and left a voicemail for Kayla. She called me back shortly after and said that the drivers were out until 6pm and not to worry.... I had not received the delivery and called at 6:30pm and left a message. Kayla called back and said the driver was actually out until 9pm and that she would check with dispatch. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back, and we didn't get our delivery. I went to the gas station last night and got $45 worth of diesel to add to our tank because the last thing I want is for our pipes to freeze or my son to be cold. I'm just disappointed. I don't know what to do now. I cancelled the guaranteed delivery for Monday from the other company, and will go broke adding diesel for the next 2 weeks until we can get a delivery. I have read so many wonderful stories and reviews about this company, and know mistakes and oversights happen. I will update my review next week because I believe that great customer service can be defined by how a company responds to issues and takes ownership of mistakes. Stay tuned... (Sorry about any grammar mistakes. It took a lot of writing and revising before I just hit post!)
