Stopped and got dinner for tonight. Was not treated very well by another customer. The 2 gals working were AMAZING!!! It was kind of shocking but they were so kind to me and by time I left we were all laughing. I've tasted dinner already (couldn't wait) it is so dang good!!! Thanks girls you made my day!!! Had some overseas visitors staying who wanted BBQ. It's not really available in Ashland where I live, so we made the trip to Jeffro's. It was well worth it. Great meats, and order the sides. The food has gone downhill. Most of the food tastes the same. They are open for business 2 however you cannot order most of the meat items for 2 hours past opening time. It's obvious that the owner is too lazy to have the food ready for opening time. I spent a lot of money for loaded baked beans which are 50% cheap BBQ sauce. The noodles are dried out and so is the chicken. If you only want ribs it's an OK place but don't expect to get ribs at opening time cause they don't bother cooking them until opening time. read more

Yep,thats right MAX stars.I was here Wednesday,ran into grocery store looking for deli food,No deli come to find out,several people heard me ask and atleast 4 people on my way out said you need to try the BBQ guy,well I was at my truck when I spun around and went over to find out if all these endorements are right.First off the guy is super nice and warm welcoming,then he pops one grill and I see what looked like acres of beautiful BBQ and all kinds of animals and parts of so many things,i didnt even see it all.I landed on a pulled pork sam small,$6bux and I thought it was big.The meat was soooo tender with no fat or chewy bits,clean pure meat and flavor full and sauced just right and not over powering,it accented the pork I would claim.I will be stopping here from now on,do not make the mistake I did for years and just drive by,Take my word for it and just try it and you will be hooked. Look for the south end of the market and if you see a black Ford Expedition with orange flames painted onto it,you just struck a golden opportunity that could possibly change your life...food life. read more

What can I say about this place that will really tell you how good it is. I could tell you that the tri tip is amazing, the half chickens are the best (and a great value), and the bento boxes are great but what I really want to talk about is the beans. Jeffro's beans are one of a kind. They are loaded with flavor and meat! They really should have their own name. It's hard for us to drive by on our way home from the valley and not stop to pick up lunch or dinner. A gem in a parking lot. read more

Just had Jeffros for the second day in a row. Yesterday, my husband and I stopped right before he closed and got two 1/2 chickens and I realize that it was the end of the day but they were so dry I could barely get it down and hubby choked so bad on it, we threw them both out. (We paid full price). Thought we would give another shot today and hubby ordered a pork sandwich that had lots of big pieces of fat and so much bbq sauce it was a complete mess and looked disgusting. I had the bento and I think it was yesterday's left over chicken. Again was so dry, the sweet chili sauce and rice moistened it a bit but still ended up choking on it. Sad to say, we won't be stopping by here again. As a side note: Jeff is a super nice guy! read more

JEFFRO'S BBQ in Shady Cove, open Tuesdays thru Sat..(i tnink) about 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. , maybe later in summer. Its a take out only, fresh everyday. Mostly Bento's, ribs, sausages, beef dishes, and other selections and my favorite which I've been getting over 3 yrs., mostly the same , ...I lOVE his half BBQ Chicken, a little blackened , also does beans etc. Oh jalapeños poppers which sis in law loves. I can make at least 2 meals out of it for next day. Never disappointed. The "crew" is usually J. but often he has assistants..seems like college kids and they do very good job too. ESPECIALLY I felt bad as 1 of the many days it was over 100* and thats not even near their cooking grill!! Very efficient and friendly. 5 stars.i live here so eat pretty often in summer esp. Would be good to take on picnic too. They offer other sides but I just eat a salad at home. Oh, I think I saw a London Broil or something like that offered. read more

Wonderful food and service. I often get the bento or tri tip sandwich and if I want extra sauce or my sandwich cut in thirds, owner is always accommodating. I have been going here since it opened and just plan ahead of time to eat my portion in two sittings--so Jeffros is very generous in the amount of food for the price. Just the best BBQ ever. So worth the trip, and now that I live in another state, Jeffros is still the very face place I go when I get to Shady Cove, Oregon. Yummmm read more

Only 4 stars as when my daughters wedding catered in July, food was not able to stay heated. To have meats and beans kept warm would have been ideal. That being said, all else was PERFECT. Totally on time with delicious everything. Meats were fabulous and tender. Chicken beyond expectations and beans were best ever. Jeff is great. Prices so reasonable--hope he can expand and keep the fabulous quality. read more
