Do you think it's fair or plausible that it is now 9:50 am and I am STILL here waiting to be seen??? Upon check in, I was informed that there were 5 people in front of me, all scheduled within a 10 minute window from each other. Ridiculous! I have asked for an update and there is still 1 person in front of me, also waiting to be seen. I have other commitments and engagements I have to attend to today. This is a terrible waste of my time!! A routine dental cleaning should not have taken up my entire morning, and yet it has. I have had this experience one too many times here and I am the foolish one that continues to come back because I am hopeful that you will get it together one day. Frankly, this location is convenient for me because it is walking distance from my house. Even so, I dread coming here because my experience is always the same. If you cannot keep your appointments, don't give them, simple. Stop wasting your patients' time, energy and patience. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. I've complained more times than I can count and I've left you a terrible review on Google. Nothing has changed. Get it together.

He was quick to teach me, that I should not dismiss my anxiety, but embrace it. Just because some things I am doing are successful at the moment, does not mean they will always be. I should not be so hard on myself. Dr Reiner taught me that the ability to both accept and deflect criticism is a very valuable skill, a technique he applies to himself when working through his negative Yelp reviews. But as we both agreed, these types of things are easier said than done. Even though he hasn't replied publicly to any of his haters on Yelp, I got the sense that he has acknowledged these issues and is working to try to better himself. In a way, he almost took pride in accepting negative reviews. And I guess you could say, in this case Yelp is the therapist's therapist.

I had to drop out of college because I simply couldn't manage. On top of that, I had no friends no support. Aldea and the psychiatrists at NY Hospital became my support group and OMG they saved my life. With a mix of medication and regular therapy, I developed and practiced healthy coping mechanisms to build boundaries and have the courage tell toxic people to F off. They help with immigration matters too and connect their patients to welfare programs that might be unknown. They find a solution to everything...because there is a solution to everything. When you are in despair, you cannot see it, but they do and they will help you. I am now three years off meds...and my PTSD symptoms have not returned. I do not dissociate anymore, even without meds. My experience with New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center has been extremely frustrating and…read moredisappointing. I repeatedly requested a therapist change and sent multiple emails asking for help, but I was largely met with silence and lack of communication. Instead of feeling supported as a patient seeking mental health treatment, I felt ignored and pushed aside. One of the biggest concerns for me has been the lack of transparency regarding my treatment status and continuity of care. When patients reach out asking for clarification or support, they deserve timely responses and professionalism, not to feel like they are being avoided. I also felt that concerns I raised were not taken seriously, and the overall experience created unnecessary stress during a time when I was specifically seeking help and stability. I strongly encourage anyone seeking services to make sure they document all communications and advocate for themselves throughout the process.
