For anyone who does not know what HIPPA is, it stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act passed over 20 years ago to safeguard the privacy of patients related to their medical history and any current medical data. As someone who had worked in the medical field for over a decade, I found this physician and his office highly unprofessional. I cannot fathom how this doctor doesn't know how to speak with patients under the HIPPA law. Maybe he does know and just doesn't care. His bedside manner is awful in terms of privacy. Not only is he a very rude person but he also leaves the exam room door open while he is in there with you. When I politely asked Dr. Zimbalist for a more private place to discuss health-related matters, he completely dismissed me. I was told there wasn't any other place to have this conversation. He proceeded to go into great detail about personal medical information and test results in front of an entire waiting room. Just to be clear, the waiting area was quite small, about 10x10, so everyone was within earshot. I don't think anyone is thinking: Oh wow, I can't wait to share all of my medical information with an entire room full of strangers. Can you speak a little louder? I don't think everyone heard you! Thanks :) I'm fairly certain complaints have been filed on him in the past since he is clearly violating a major healthcare law.

I've never experienced that before! My overall experience was great and I would highly recommend this doctor.

His guidance has helped me see the large gaps in my perspectives , which previously led me to very explosive and reactive behaviors. He's been able to show me the patterns of catastrophizing and a variety of other cognitive distortions Ive exhibited. (My relationship has benefited greatly from being in therapy haha) Quintin meets you where you are - you have to be serious about wanting to get better. Quintin is understanding, open, and a heartfelt listener . He is also big on respecting yourself and those around you. That applies to patient-therapist relationship as well . He's also human - not a wizard who's going to solve all your problems and make you the best you overnight. That's on you. But he'll be there every step of the way to let you know when you're progressing and when you're falling off the path. He'll work with you to build a map to improve your mental health. Getting better is not linear. Highly recommend him if you're serious about change.

I will start by saying that I was hesitant to come into therapy, but decided it was worth a shot…read moreafter many years without it. I came across Quintin because he accepts my insurance. Every single session felt disconnected, as if he were playing a game on his computer and barely paying attention. He lacked the mental capacity to comprehend the fact that it's normal for people to not spill their deepest darkest secrets to a person that they know nothing about in the first month or two of speaking. I concluded that his mind has been warped by years of hearing heartbreaking stories on a daily basis. However, accounting for that, you would think that he of all people would know that not everyone is as comfortable with the traditional therapeutic process as he is. I challenged him on some of these points, especially after he said I wasn't "complying" with the process. (Ridiculously controlling language--sounds like judge with no power checks) I pressed him on the issue of "compliance" and told him that I have participated in this process for years on end and it has NEVER worked. Meaning I have done this over and over and nothing has improved even once. I asked him "How many times do you have to do the same exact thing and fail until you realize that it simply doesn't work, and that a different approach needs to be tried?" I added "Tell me what you think counts as 'compliance'--and i'll tell you if I've tried that." He quickly and rudely refused to answer this out of pride. He clearly knew he was backed into a corner, but he was so intellectually dishonest that he refused to elaborate on his accusations. These reviews speak for themselves, but this should be added: He isn't a stupid man, but anybody looking for a kind-hearted, understanding, professional, attentive, patient, humble therapist should turn the other way, and spare themselves months of wasted time and money.

I did not make the follow up appointment because she was incredibly rude and judgmental and was making all sorts of comments about why I hadn't been in in over six months.
