They said it was because she missed a couple appointments with out calling which they might be right. But hard to call when ur in the emergency room. But they are hypocrites because we travel and hour to there office on numerous occasions and get there to find the doctor has left and no appointment and no call. We are gonna call the department of health and see what can be done about this.

I'd try and schedule appointments earlier in the day if you're coming from eastern Long Island and visiting the Babylon office. (Traffic is notably faster first thing in the morning on 27.) My favorite thing about this practice? They have an on-site surgical suite that's run with precision clockwork. A 9:15 epidural had the family in the car at 10:10. (And that's only because I had to use the powder room, and ask a medication question upon my return.) This office is on point with technology. Reminders arrive via email if requested. (I imagine their online portal is stellar but I've yet to check it out.) Thanks Dr. Shalmi! [Updated to reflect that I visit the Babylon 500 office. My bad for making a newbie mistake. I was excited! ]

And the Doctor Albert who was her doctor didn't even have balls to tell her he was discharging her. He is a coward. We will be contacting the New York sate surgeon General and the New York state health department about patient abandment. Which is what he did after prescribing here a ridiculous amount of oxy. For about 2 or 3 yrs. This place is ran by doctors that don't care what damage they have done.

On top of this, I have severe scoliosis and have been in extreme pain for many months. Due to the amount of pain and illness that I have I've had to cancel several appointments and always rescheduled. I have recently been told that I've canceled too many times so I have to be pulled from being a patient. I thought this was pain management? The amount of stress not getting help as only added to my pain. On top of it, I have called several times to reschedule recently as I had to cancel my most recent appointment due to having the flu. I've had to leave several messages asking to be called back to reschedule and not once did I get a call back. I called today and was transferred to a manager where I had to leave a message again. I understand the policy however exceptions can be made. This is not quality of care. In my opinion this is very cruel treatment of someone that's just looking for a break in their pain!
