A few days later my toe did not look right so I went back and saw Dr Etts. He put me on a week of antibiotics for infection. After a week I went back and saw a doctor Ferraro he stated he did not think it was infected it was probably just read and angry from the chemical that they use. He proceeds to cauterize my toe it hurt of course like quarterization does but he said the pain would subside within an hour. 2 days later it still hurt on the third day I went back to the office and saw a Dr. Gomberg. He starts pressing on my toe and asking me does it hurt here does it hurt there then he gets to the spot where it hurts and I'm grabbing onto the armchair and screaming out out stop stop stop. He proceeds to get at a pair of large toenail clippers and starts digging into my toe like he is a butcher. I am arriving in pain telling him to stop. I am now breaking out in a sweat and I need some water because I do not feel well. To make a long story short this man did not numb my toe before he started digging into it and caused me to faint because of the excruciating pain he put me in. When I called the office to complain the next day I got an oh well. I never heard from anyone to ask me if I was okay or to follow up on my phone call. I now have to go to a medical doctor and make sure that my toe is not infected or what is wrong with it because I do not know that these people did. I would never allow them to touch me ever again. And I would suggest not letting them touch you either. I truly wish I could post pictures of what my toe look like throughout this whole nightmare

This hospital was once a dump however now its an amazing hospital. From my experience I was treated with the upmost respect and awesome service . Starting from the emergency room staff. I thought I would be sitting waiting for at least 4 hrs. Its was about 1 hour and I was called in. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling well, but the nurses and Dr took very good care of me. I had pneumonia didnt even know it. I was treated with the upmost care. From transport to food service, imaging reps to blood work reps , nurses on the floor were all great. Southside has improved a lot. I would recommend this hospital for care.

Fast forward to 2025, age 67. I need my right side repaired. I found Dr. Dupree who is skilled at robotic surgery. It's comforting to hear the words from the surgeon "I can take care of this". The entire procedure was more complex as it required general anesthesia, however, the recovery time was much faster (and I'm much older). What I like about Dr. Dupree is his confidence and experience. No need to go to a specialized hospital in a big city. Riverview Medical Center is small and accessible.

I told her" I thought that is what diagnoses codes were for". That's not even the part that was upsetting. They let me sit there for 45 minutes before informing me of this ridiculous rule, all the while I could have called to ask for the referral. Instead they talked about me in front of me. let me sit there like a jerk and then after my doctor did send the unneeded referral, I heard her tell the doctor "that's it all done except there is a patient that had no referral and if you want you could see her or I'll just tell her to leave. So I took my copay that I paid 10 minutes before my appointment time so I could walk out completely befuddled and upset and hour later. That is one hour of my life that I will never get back thank you DrAnker staff for your rude and lasting impression. I can't leave enough reviews online so nobody else needs to be treated this way.
