Dr. Lakshman is incredibly talented, knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to. He has a way of making you feel comfortable from the moment you meet him. I've been seeing him for quite some time now, and he consistently does an amazing job. He listens, takes his time with me, and I never feel rushed. One of my favorite parts of every visit is seeing the office staff. They always greet you with a smile. They're genuinely kind, welcoming, and always so upbeat. It's one of the few medical offices where I actually look forward to my appointments because everyone makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. I'm so grateful I found this practice. In fact, I already have future appointments on the books, which says everything about the confidence I have in Dr. Lakshman and his team. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice. Post op 7 months now…read more I had been trying to establish post op care with a in network bariatric surgeon but it was such a big headache. I asked to get my labs checked and they couldn't even get that right. I reached out to Dr. Doraiswamy after 3 failed attempts. I explained the situation and he quickly got back to me to say not to worry, he will order labs and schedule a phone follow up to review labs. Same day, I got my telehealth appointment scheduled and labs emailed. I went to quest that weekend and got the done in preparation for my call the next week after Easter. Dr. D asked how I have been doing and reviewed the labs. B was a bit high so he recommended reducing to every other day. Vitamin A low but may choose to supplement in diet or via over the counter vitamin. We set some achievable goals with bumping up my exercise to focus on type and duration. I have another follow up call in 4 months. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. D. I am doing well 7 months post op/45 lbs down. Eating has normalized (my new norm). Occasional nausea which he explained to avoid drinking with meals. This will cause that weird funnel overflowing effect which will cause nausea. No other side effects that I have noted. This has been a very comfortable journey thus far. He has been a stellar surgeon before and after surgery. I am so happy I can still follow up with him throughout my journey to a healthier me. Multiple rushed and poor experiences here with several physicians. Most of your face time here is with physician assistants. When a doctor experiences significant tactile resistance during an injection and openly admits a lesion isn't behaving like a typical cyst, shifting to a passive "wait-and-see" approach without looking at your historical imaging is simply a contradiction in clinical logic. Calling that out isn't about being confrontational; it is about recognizing that your intuition was right, your questions are valid. Dr. Billings operates a medical mill. I came to see Dr Billings (incidentally CEO of Pasadena Orthopedics) for a thumb lesion xrayed 5 years ago and never biopsied. She injected my thumb without so much as objectively establishing if the lesion was solid or cystic. She told me with utmost confidence that I have a cyst. She suddenly revised her diagnosis while in the midst of obviously struggling to inject the lesion with steroids. She wanted to move fast because volume means Benjamins $. I walked in with little to no pain, and walked out unable to fully flex or extend my thumb without pain. The office then gave me the run around for a simple imaging request after the pain progressively worsened and insinuated that the response to my injection in 6 weeks is "diagnostic." No rationale was offered. Billings tried to pivot with, "let's see if we get a treatment response." Truth is, she realized unnecessary needle trauma would have to be healed from forcefully trying to inject steroids (liquid) in something with the density of an eraser (before imaging could become meaningful). I offered to show them prior imaging, but they were too busy churning out patients. I came here for diagnostic clarity, not to sit around for 2 hours and be provided substandard care. The audacity of trying to pass it off as, "let's wait to see if the treatment responds" (damn well knowing it's not behaving like a cyst and forcing fluid in a solid mass in a patient's thumb). Come on now.

After finding a parking space in the large parking lot in front of the building, I entered Suite #150. There is a large lobby with a long counter with staff members taking care of business. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who handed us the expected paperwork. Counters available to fill out the paperwork. We returned the filled out forms to the staff member. We sat down in the lobby. The lobby had a large number of comfortable places to sit. After a short wait, we were called by a staff member, and led to the examination room. There is a large staff and all were friendly, helpful and attentive. Questions we had were all answered. The appointment with Dr Billings was very successful. I have no qualms about returning to this doctor and/or group. The parking area is monitored by a parking attendant, there is a fee for parking. Depending upon the time of day this lot can become very busy. This area is conveniently located a block off of Lake Avenue and a couple blocks north of Colorado Boulevard.
