There isn't any Filipino spots in Miami for real so this is the only place that I could find in Wynwood. I don't get why people say that this spot is far from Filipino food when it is obviously supposed to show Filipino food in a creative way and showcase street food too... But I'm glad I experienced it for myself and enjoyed my time. The chicken BBQ skewers tasted exactly how it was supposed to. So I know it was marinated appropriately and cased with banana ketchup!!!! I appreciate the chicken lumpia option. Not many people serve lumpia options that aren't beef or pork... so that definitely won me over too. My only complaint was that the beef tapas was not hitting the way it was supposed to. It was giving more of a bistek feel than tapas. This is the chicken adobo from uber eats. Something about the taste of the chicken was off putting. I couldn't eat it. The lumpia could've been a bit more prominent it tasted like air. The extra spicy vinegar I ordered on the side wasn't spicy at all. The veg carrots and tomato sorta didn't blend all that well and the garlic rice was just there. Came for lunch with a few friends and we decided to split two plates. You order at the front, they provide a buzzer, and food is ready in about 10-15 min! It's located in the 1-800-Lucky Asian food court in Wynwood and offers a menu of many Filipino staples, and while everything was nicely presented, the flavors just didn't quite hit right. We got the adobo chicken bowl, pancit, and a crispy chicken tender sandwich. The adobo chicken came with garlic rice, shredded pickled veggies, and some greens, and while it had a nice grill flavor it was more vinegary than savory and didnt have that nice stewed adobo flavor you'd expect. At least the lumpia it came with was pretty nice, a bit crispy with a meaty filling. The pancit tasted like sesame noodles and had a nice portion of unfortunately kind of dry chicken. The best thing, which wasn't really a Filipino dish, was actually the chicken sandwich which came with a few large chicken tenders, pickled veggies, their seasoned mayo/aioli, and a fluffy bun. At this price point it was pretty comparable to the other restaurants in 1-800-Lucky and about on par for the area, and I guess it will do in a pinch, but you can find cheaper more satisfying Filipino food if you're willing to drive out just a bit. read more

Been a minute since I've been to 1800lucky... so was happy to see the Filipino counter as it wasn't there on my last visit. I got the longanisa (Filipino sweet sausage) as well as the brussels sprouts .. both tasted great and it was filling.. my only critique is that I felt the Brussel sprouts had much too much sauce on them.. there was a pool of it at the bottom of the container. Filipino food in 1-800-Lucky? I'm there. I have been meaning to make my way to Wynwood to give this place a try and finally got the opportunity to. This food stand is towards the back of the 1-800-Lucky food hall. I ordered the pork & chicken sisig. This came with rice and in a sizzling pan. My family also got their longanisa (Filipino sweet sausage that is usually eaten for breakfast), some BBQ skewers and Halo Halo. I'm not sure if it was great because I was hungry but I really enjoyed it. Even though I am Filipino, I'm not the hugest fan of the food when eating out because I've grown up eating it all day, every day. With that said, I would gladly pick Jeepney as a spot to eat while dining here. If you've never been to Jeepney or to this particular area to eat- you order, take your buzzer and grab a table in this mini food hall. Once your buzzer goes off, you can go back to the stand to pick up your food. If you want water, they have a station to fill your own cup for ease. There was also a few desserts available by Tita Baby's Sweet Shop at their stand. You know my motto- there's always room for dessert! read more

We came to 1-800-Lucky as our last stop before leaving Miami! I remember loving the food here last time I came, so I wanted to show the rest of the group how good it was! This time around I wanted to try the Filipino restaurant, and so I ordered the burger they had! This burger had a very sweet sausage patty (think a longanisa burger)! I happened to like it, not my favorite thing, but it was good enough for me to eat. Sad to say, but I think I was actually expecting alittle more from this place. The food was decent, but not amazing and life changing. I just think for the price that you pay for a burger, fries and drink that is that expensive, the taste and everything would be super rememberable. But the taste just wasn't there for me on my visit. It's a Filipino dish that is traditionally made pig head and chicken liver, but they have made a more approachable version of it with chicken and it's 100% delish!! The chicken is in a cooked in a velvety oil with lots of flavor with an egg on top. You stir the egg in and it makes it creamy. There is a vinegar-based sauce and lemon that is added to cut through the richness which is perfect. The rice is simple and aromatic which is a perfect complement. Try out the Sisig! You will definitely enjoy this if you love egg yolks with Goya seasoning . So much flavor in one bite ! The BBQ Skewers were roasted on an open fired grill and was based with really good bbq sauce. It reminded me of going to a barbecue. I think the bbq skewers came with garlic rice. It was such a good compliment to all the wonderful sweet and garlic flavors ! For those who are new to Filipino food; sisig is a Filipino dish that has crunch, spice, richness, tang and plenty of umami! It's served on a hot skillet to crisp the bits of pork and cook the egg that you eventually mix with everything. Squeeze some citrus on top and it's *chef's kiss* PERFECTION. Filipino BBQ is a nice mix of salty and sweet--the skewers here are marinated and sauced very well. It definitely reminds me of home. They have BBQ chicken as well, but Filipinos love their pork. Pancit can be prepared so many different ways, but they use a thin noodle here, which I prefer. The noodles come with plenty of veggies and support all the other dishes well. Look at how the old pics being posted of the BBQ and compare it to the current pics. The BBQ is extremely dry, it looks like it was pre-cooked at home and then microwaved at the restaurant. I informed the yong lady about the bbq being extremely dry. She just gave me a blank stare like I'm bothering her and said "Oh ok". Halo- Halo is basically a scoop of ice cream on top of shave ice with condensed milk. Theirs no fruit in it. What a joke. If I can give this place a negative 0 star I would. Stopped by for lunch today and did not leave disappointed. Came in about half an hour after 1-800-Lucky opened and I won't lie, Jeepney looked closed. I guess they were still in their opening up phase, but we were quickly attended by a very nice man. For some reason I didn't see the chori burger on the menu, but ordered that, alongside the sisig. The burger has an insanely incredible flavor (seriously, I can't wait to have it again) and the sisig is fried pork, topped with a sunny side up egg (that finishes cooking in the hot skillet) accompanied by white rice.
