A very nice woman gave me a lot of information on the different types and quoted fair prices. She mentioned a Black Friday pricing, but didn't really press me to commit. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN!! I went to JDS to replace a set of 4 tires and I ordered FALKEN tires and paid for them. It took them over TWO HOURS to install my tires and when I asked about my car they would just respond with "they're working on it". I tried to go check in on my BMW to see what's taking so long but they kept telling me I can't go see until they're finished. After 2 hours of installation I drove home just to realise Omar had installed some cheap USED (Lionhart) tires rather than the expensive Falken tires that I ordered. When I confronted him about the problem, he had told me that the tires he installed were "not bad" but I insisted on getting the tires that I paid for rather than paying a premium price for some cheap tires. His response was "don't drive the car. I'll order your tires that you want as long as you don't drive the car until tomorrow so I can return the tires I installed" SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN. Their driveway is a great way to rip off your bumper. I'd say it's good marketing except it doesn't even look like they do good installations based off of their loose bumpers out front. To add to that, their sidewalk is COVERED in dog crap so they're really good at setting the tone for their service. Now for the cons: they keep their dog tied up in the rain and blast music that shakes all the buildings around it. They're extremely rude, slow, and frankly just terrible scammers. If I could give zero stars I would. The folks here were very unprofessional and rude. My dad went in to get a stereo put in and as he picked up his car their workers messed up his car. When my dad got it fixed and brought back the receipt they only wanted to pay half. When my dad asked for the signed contract for the payment the lady at the front desk told him she would not give him the signed receipt because he would use it against them to get more money. When we told them he was entitled to this information she said "no your not, this is only for my records" ,walked away from him and said "i'm not talking to you anymore Mr." My Mother over heard what happened and she went to let them know that what they were doing was wrong and that legally he should have a copy of the paperwork. Once she mentioned "Legal" they then said they would give him the paperwork but only if he was there. By the time my Dad went back the owners called the police and told them that my Dad "sent his family to threaten them" When he had no idea she was even there. While he was there the police made them give the paperwork because that's what you do as a business. If you plan to get quality service please do not come here. Apparently they need to read up on their laws again. Save yourself the time and money. read more

Maya ordered an Uber on my behalf, and never asked me to reimburse. These folks are legit, despite all the 1-star reviews. My dad came here to get a stereo put in and when he picked it up they're guy had pulled the shifter all the way down and got it stuck and they couldn't fix it so we took it to the shop down the street and they fixed it and when we took the bill back to them they made up a whole story about my dad saying his car was already messed up (its a completely rebuilt 1947 chevrolet fleetline) and then decided to only give him 50% of the money he paid to fix what they broke and then they didnt want to give him a copy of the paper they printed up save yourself, money time and a headache read more

I would stay away from this place as much as possible. Came in and asked for a light kit to be installed and they told me its $240. I asked them if they can low it down since its just swapping and installing a new kit, they told me they can do it for $90 and tell an apprentice to do it instead but don't guarantee if anything will be wrong with it in the future. This is an extremely dangerous and irresponsible way of doing business. I feel that if you are going to accept any business, you should always do it 100%. I bring the carpet there and they tell me they aren't even going to use glue! I was in the need of an aftermarket part for my vehicle. When I visit their location looking for it, they tell me that they dont have it and to go check them out at the Oakland flea market on the weekend and I will be able to find it. I head over there and find their booth hoping I can find what Im looking for. I find them and they ask I need, the guy looks at the other guy and then says. Check us on Monday at our main shop. I told them I was just there a couple of days ago and they refer me here. They were pretty much didnt seem to know how to operate a business and obviously if you have to come and work at the flea market on the weekend, means you aint cutting the mustard. Luckily I found another spot who was helpful and excellent customer service. Since they dis not have it, we were able to locate it online and they ordered it without a problem or runaround. Today I experience a negative attitude at JDC car shop by a staff person name Omar. I went there to get a new month sticker for my license plate at there DMV. I was greeted with a negative attidue by Omar asking me "how can I help you". The expression on his face was apparent he was uncomfortable dealing with an African American. I am a resident of San Leandro and I have live here before he opened that business. I left with out completing my business because they only accept debit cards. This place sucks I went to get an alarm installed and an Asian guy is the installer I don't even think he works there so I payed for the alarm and sensor around 700 and then when they finished installing the alarm my driver door didn't open and close and I couldn't lock it either anymore and I told him hey it wasn't like this and he was like no we didn't do anything it was like that I was like bullshit it was working fine until you guys messed it up so then he was like well I'll fix it for an extra 200 and I really didn't have an option because what good is an alarm if the door doesn't lock or close so I said well do it I don't have an option really so then he fixed it and that problem was solved so a few days later my alarm was beeping all the time for no reason so I came back for him to adjust the alarm and he was like well I it'll be 200 to adjust it I was like why if I just bought it from you and you installed it I should have a period of time to have it adjusted without paying anything and I left I wasn't about to get played like that anymore. I would recommend this place hands down. Base on customer service alone and let me share why. I stopped by to get a quote on a rear carbon spoiler being installed on my BMW. Which I had bought on-line and they forgot to send me the double-sided tape and instructions on how to install it. Which is a whole different story and review at a later date. Anyways I had the pleasure of having Omar help me at JDS. Who was polite, patient and very helpful. He did give me a very reasonable quote and even offered advice on how I could go about doing it myself. Which I found very different and a kind gesture. This place is a total Rip off!! I took my Mercedes in to have a light bulb replaced. They asked if I wanted the brighter bulbs I said yes thinking they were going to replace my light bulb with a brighter one. My mistake was not checking under the hood to see exactly what they did but since I was just having a light bulb changed I didn't think much of it. 4 days later the light goes out I return to this place to ask if they could replace the obviously defected light. It was at this time that they told me that it would be an additional 120$ to replace the module surprised I asked what module he says the after market module addd to your car again I said what module there isn't any module I my car, he preceded to lift my hood and showed me the module they stalled. I went back in the store and asked the main guy what is this ? I never resisted you to put after market parts on my car he continued on to tell me that, that is the only way to connect the brighter bulbs of course my response was why didn't you explained that to me when I was buying the light no response, then he says we do not warranty the module or the light bulb which again was never told to me in my original visit. He went on to say that I could have my original lights reconnected for a 60$ fee I replied that I did not understand why I had to pay anything for their mistake. I called to schedule the reversal to my lights and they told me they don't do that type of work WTF so I went In and the fat lady working was clueless to the whole ordeal but wanted to insist that the owner the other Fat guy wasn't available and that they would not be able to honor that PISSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. I then called from another phone number pretending to be someone else and was told that the installer was out of the country and that will not be able to accommodate me. I have called this place several times and i have yet to get a strait answer. So i finally just went down there. (it is 2 minutes from my office). I told them exactly what i wanted to have installed on my car and were i would be ordering it from. what i wanted from them was how much it would cost for the install. this would determine if i was going to order this mod on my car at all. they told me i had to have the part in hand in order for the installer to tell me if he could do it and how much it would be. i responded saying that i would not order the part unless i knew for sure that they could do it. (this was an advanced install that i cant do myself) the guy said "give me a minute" he came back and said they could do it for sure but still couldn't tell me how much. I am really want to work with this place since it would be so convenient for me but the lack of knowledge is not making that happen. they do have a ton of stuff in house which is hard to find online. lambo door kits, custom grille and custom lights. all for the average car like Honda's, Toyota's etc. they also have all that stuff for luxury cars cadis, lexus, merz etc. I have a mustang which they do have stuff for. But no OEM fitting mods all custom stuff. it seems like they have about the same skill i do with installing mods. so if you know nothing about mods and you want mods done go to them but if you are good with a wrench than perhaps just get parts form them and do it yourself. read more

I'd there was a way for a 0 star it wouldn't be low enough. I've called here several times before and had no luck getting a response. I had been I'm once before to get a amp for my sub and they price they quoted me was nearly 3x the amount it was being sold for just up the street. My sub recently blew out and them being the closet audio shop around I figured I would give them another shot. There yelp account says they are open today, yet when I get to there location there is a tiny sign hand written that says closed on Wednesdays. My last experience was oddly similar, when I walked in around 1pm they were trying to rush me to make a purchase, saying they are closing shortly. To say the least today was the last straw for me. I won't even bat an eye at the company. They obviously don't for there customers. (FYI there parking lot is full of cars that are for sale all saying that they are being sold by them. I can almost guarantee they don't have a car selling license.
