It was a little spicy, which I enjoyed. My husband had the pan seared sea bass finished with a mango jalapeño chutney. He said his was pretty good, but felt it could have been cooked a little more. For food, the only complaint I would have is that when they set out the coffee they only Provided flavored creamer. No milk, no regular cream. I had to ask for cream directly and they did actually bring some out without any issues.

This takes place the first Saturday of every month, year round, from 4pm to 7pm. The shops are open for business and it is a wonderful way to experience downtown Canadaigua and sample over a dozen Finger Lakes wines. Downtown is adorable and chocked full of wonderful shops and restaurants restaurants: art galleries, accessories, clothing, florists, toy stores...it was so much fun. I wanted it buy things in nearly every place we went. This is a great way to experience the area. Highly recommended as an excursion from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or anywhere else. They walk you through the process (usually 4 appointments of about an hour each) and make sure you do not make any mistakes. That's the background info. The good times, learning about wine and walking away with a batch of really good wine and not spending an arm and leg for it, are all bonuses. My wife and I have made over 70 batches there, and will be making many more. What a great hobby!

We were able to attend a virtual walkthrough of the venue and ask questions with Belinda through Zoom. Along the way, Belinda and Tammy, our day of coordinator, answered lots of questions in emails. They were both very knowledgeable about all the options available and vendors in the area. It wasn't until the day before the wedding at our rehearsal that we were able to really see the venue in person and meet Tammy due to living out of the area. On the day of, Tammy helped to make sure the event ran smoothly with all of our vendors. All of the staff was extremely helpful and kind. Our guests were so impressed by the venue and especially the view out to the vineyard. Our guests enjoyed hanging out on the patio in the back overlooking the vineyard. Every single detail was set up how we wanted it. Tammy made sure our day went smoothly without us having to worry about anything. We also worked with Chapels Catering for food. We received so many complements on our food. Prior to the event, we had worked with Chapels over FaceTime and emails. They were wonderful with accommodating my allergies and allergies of our guests. We loved having Casa Larga as our venue and the team was wonderful to work with!

My family and I arrived to the Ravines Geneva tasting room on Sunday 5/10 (Mother's Day) at 4:43pm…read moreand upon entering were promptly told the tasting room was closed as they were closing in 15 minutes. We have previously been Ravines wine club members and frequently enjoy stopping into their tasting room for wine tasting, food and purchasing bottles. We would have happily purchased some wine to take home with us (likely a case or more) but the staff was incredibly unfriendly and unwelcoming. When I asked, for future visits, when the tastings usually stop, I was told 4:30. Ravines may want to update their website and online presence to reflect this (everything posted says 5pm close) as we were disappointed to be unable to finish our Mother's Day celebration at their tasting room. Due to the completely unfriendly welcome (customers were walking past us with fresh pours, clearly having just been served), we opted to leave without purchasing any wine - a significant loss for their business, not only in sales but also in customer loyalty. No one apologized that we couldn't be served or asked if we wanted to purchase any wine. We won't be back any time soon and will share the experience with friends so as to help them avoid a similarly unpleasant experience. We were once loyal but now disappointed Ravines customers.
