Mathew and George and the nicest people. They're so helpful when choosing frames. If they don't look right, they'll tell you. But the most important thing is that when they make my difficult prescription they are ALWAYS PERFECT. I never have to "get used' to them or "give them a few days" because the second I put them on I can see 100% and I do not have an easy prescription. There are no words praiseworthy enough to describe JD Opticians. Right now I am basking, yes, you can bask, wearing eyeglasses prescribed and made correctly and professionally! I can see clearly, and it's like having second sight! (this should be the result if transitional and progressives are engineered accurately!) No more headaches, no more struggles and eyestrain to see small print! George & Matthew are the Best! I tried JD Opticians some weeks ago after just about giving up on local places where I had no luck. JD was conveniently located next to the grocery store in the shopping center where I occasionally shop. I had asked to have prescription eyeglasses made, progressive, & transitional, as a last ditch effort with skepticism. Believe me, I had had my share of incorrect prescriptions and measurements! After my prescription was made, once again, I had trouble seeing through the glasses. When I had informed Matthew, he told me to come down immediately to inspect the glasses from top to bottom. Matthew discovered that my prescription was way off from 2 previous ones I had shown him. I had to have my eyes reexamined by their optometrist. I was given a thorough eye exam, by Dr. Sharon Lue. It was an extensive examination using actual sample lenses and special 'opticial' glasses. To say I was impressed with her diligence, patience and professionalism is an understatement! One can imagine how I felt when this new prescription was ready. I no sooner put the glasses on, I knew immediately I was in for a big surprise! The glasses were Perfect!! I was looking all around the shop and outside seeing clearly and correctly (BTW, the frame JD sells are stylish and quality!) I knew I came to the right place! Some people probably did have a great experience and I'm not taking away from you. Mine was unfortunately terrible and I really wanted it to be good since I just moved here. I went to this eye place for an eye test by recommendation. I took the test and waited to see the virtual dr. The first contacts they gave me to try on I told them I couldn't see out of at all. I was over prescribed by over 1.0 .. yes 1.0 for both eyes (I have two different scripts). They re-did the test twice that day and still both eyes were over-prescribed even after I told them what my original scripts were and that theirs were too high. Instead, they told me I'll see "20/15 that's even better than 20/20." I used the next prescription he gave me after the second test and I had migraines for the next five days. I was very uncomfortable going back at that point because everything I said they wouldn't hear me, and they had an answer for everything, so I went to another doctor. That doctor gave me a script and I haven't had a headache since. When I called them to discuss it saying I had migraines and was very uncomfortable coming back following two wrong scripts and would like a refund, Mathew Demetriou, the owner was nasty as soon as the very nice receptionist gave him the phone. Several times I had to ask him to not yell at me. I can understand you getting the script wrong once, but a second time and then a third time? Would YOU go back to that doctor? No. All I want is my refund. Mathew can say all he wants about how I needed to go back to him before I went somewhere else. No, you lost that chance when you had me do the test a second time that same day and still got it wrong a second time in both eyes. Now, I will never trust an eye test by you. Not to mention, I don't have time to come back multiple times during a pandemic because you run your business based on a "trial basis." I've never had to come back for a second eye test anywhere and you wanted me to come back for a third? On the phone, I told you you were ruining my eyes by putting me at a higher script than I should be, your response was "I'm not ruining your eyes" I said no, you're weakening them" and you responded "but I'm not ruining them." ... ARE YOU SERIOUS? And then to tell me migraines aren't a sign that I'm over scripted. YES, THAT IS A SIGN...I'd tell you to leave the scripts to the doctors, but your drs can't even get those right either read more

I bought prescription sunglasses here. After some time, they broke. I went in to ask if they could be repaired and from a few feet away, without looking at the frames, the gentleman who sold me the glasses assured me they could not. Well, actually, they could!
