I found Gianni Electric on Yelp, requested a quote on the app over the weekend, they replied quickly with a few extra questions and took down my contact info. They got Alec out the next day for a quote, and he came back the following day for the install. We probably could have gotten the work done a bit cheaper if we went with some self-taught handyman off of thumbtack, and I could have done the work myself (though it would have taken me a lot longer and probably would have made a mess in the process); but plumbing and electrical are two things that are worth paying a professional who has a license and insurance for. The price was reasonable and pretty much spot on what we had guessed it would cost us before reaching out. The whole process was pretty painless, and we'll definitely use them again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends.

So this Zoning option upsold by the so called Comfort specialist Marco was a complete money grab and it was like throwing down money down the drain and into the coffers of John Adams. The extra work and the delay in installation was because of change in furnace a decision made by Adams based on non availability of the agreed upon unit at the time of install and the lack of accurate measurements by their comfort specialist - Marco-- all of which was their fault. They could have pre ordered the agreed upon unit or measured the attic space correctly. Somehow Adams takes pride in extra work they did which was a direct result of their own incompetence and lack of due diligence before the installation. I was never happy with the delay and was livid during installation and had expressed my frustration to Marco and installation team and even spoke with the service manager and expressed my displeasure the day of the installation as we had to sleep in the home without a functioning AC . So Adams and their installation team could not fit the unit in the attic space since they didn't know how much space was required for the unit and who was responsible for measuring the Attic space prior to install - one MARCO FERREIRA !! This is like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand was doing.. If Marco had measured the Attic space correctly than the delay would have not happened and also there was no need to reconfigure the attic space and extra work Adams seems to take a misplaced sense of pride.. So you don't do the due diligence and prep work and that causes the delay and result in doing the extra work and customer not having a functioning AC overnight and somehow the business takes pride in this botched installation.. Bravo !! So Marco or team who is responding to the review conveniently leaves out the detail about not measuring correctly the attic space and prep work that could have prevented the extra work and delay all of which was their own fault and doing... They also overcharge way more than average price for their service contracts and find certain parts such as Air Switches etc that needs to be replaced and overcharge for the installation. I will not recommend this business to anyone in Charlotte as there are plenty of honest HVAC providers out there.

Two weeks or so ago, my water heater went out. I have a home warranty through HWA, who paired me with CPM to diagnose my problem. Unfortunately, the appt. was scheduled for a week out from when the water heater went out. I called CPM and was greeted warmly by a rep. I inquired if there was an earlier time available, she checked and stated my current appt. date was the earliest, but she would follow-up and call me back. She kept her word and contacted me to confirm that unfortunately it was the earliest. In addition, the next day, I received another call form a rep at CPM who stated they tried to see what they could move around to assist me earlier, but unfortunately, my current appt. time was the earliest they could come out. I was impressed that they tried although it didn't work in my favor. On the day of my appt, John, one of their plumbers, came out and represented the company very well. He was knowledgeable, took the time to answer all my questions, and gave me advice. Above all, he was friendly, compassionate, and empathetic towards my situation. He submitted his report to HWA in a timely manner and within an hour on the same day, we had an approval for a water heater replacement. Less than 48 hours later, I had an appt. set for the install. Due to this positive experience, I kept my fingers crossed he would be assigned again for my replacement. Thankfully, he was, and my install went smoothly without incident. Based off this experience, CPM will be the first company I recommend to those who need plumbing services. When you have an incident in your home that affects your quality of life, it creates a high level of stress. CPM helped to ease the frustration by providing exemplary customer service.

The technician tried a few parts and said it was the control card. Expensive repair but after I didn't hear back after a couple of days I called and was told they couldn't find the card or suitable replacement so they gave me a $10k quote to replace the whole unit. I asked if it was covered by the warranty since it's only 6 years old and he said they couldn't find any service records so the manufacturer wouldn't honor the warranty. I got a second opinion from another local company and they found a clogged orafice. Once cleared it worked fine and that said this unit will last for years and is still under warranty. Roland Black called a few days later to see if I want to schedule the installation or the new furnace. I explained what happened and asked to cancel my annual service contract and get that money back. She said she would talk to her manager but I have not heard back in about a week. I can't recommend Roland and Black. A friend told me they had a similar experience.
