The owner even came to the house that needed work, walked around, looked at everything, and told me he would get back to me with a price to restore my house. After that... nothing. He completely disappeared. No call, no text, no estimate, no explanation. I tried reaching out and got ignored. He wasted my time and gave me false hope that the work was going to be done. If you don't want the job, just say it. Don't show up, inspect the house, and then go MIA. Very unprofessional, poor communication, and unreliable. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for serious or timely work.

They even "fixed" rooms, areas, which we attempted to paint and couldn't get the clean lines. Jeff and his team ensured the lines were clean. Jeff will also make color recommendations which really helped us ensure we were on track. We had many very positive and unsolicited remarks from both guests and people interested in our home about both the quality of the painting and the colors. In addition Jeff's crew refurbished our deck using the Behr product "Deck Over". They cleaned the deck, replaced boards, sunk poles in concrete which needed to be replaced for the stairs and it not only looks brand new but is super sturdy. I highly recommend this company and their pricing is reasonable! You can trust Jeff. Something you don't hear often from me about contractors.

We were so impressed with his work that we hired him to paint our duplex when we were ready to put it on the market. The color he chose made the duplex look so nice. We also hired Donchris Designs for several projects for the Highland Park home we purchased. They remodeled two of our bathrooms, put in a kitchen island, resurfaced the fireplace, installed screen doors, put down carpet in the master bedroom, and installed recess lighting. He did such a wonderful job. The "designs" part of Donchris Designs is invaluable to us. My husband and I are not very creative when it comes to designing our renovations. We basically told Don what we general like (colors, styles, shapes) and he designed the bathroom, fireplace, kitchen, etc. based on our feedback. Then he brought samples for us so we can visualize how the finish product will look like. We went with all his suggestions and were very pleased with the result. It was nicer then we can imagine. At all times, Don was meticulous, professional and very knowledgeable. Most of all, we really feel that they genuinely care. We were so pleased with Donchris Designs that we recommended them to my sister and brother-in-law a year ago when they were looking to remodel their bathrooms. Since then, Donchris Designs remodeled three of their bathrooms and recently finished their basement. My family and I wholeheartedly recommend Donchris Designs.

He has a great eye for materials, and creates projects that look contemporary and clean that won't look dated in three years. Even though his schedule was too busy to build our bathroom himself, he stayed in touch throughout the process, and helped me work through several issues with my contractor. If you are lucky enough to catch Don when his schedule opens up, rest assured he will not cut corners, and will care about the details of your project as much as you do. He lives and breathes kitchens and baths, and will help you realize your vision -- he is absolutely phenomenal.

Eric and his OP Painter's crew recently completed a full-exterior painting job on our 123 year old…read morehome, and we are ecstatic with the result. I am admittedly, a difficult client to please - I do my own research on the best products and practices to make sure I am getting things done right. Often my paying attention to the fine details is a turn off to contractors - who just want to do what they've always done, get paid, and leave. We decided to hire Eric because of his energy & enthusiasm about getting our job done right. He was receptive to researching various products and arriving at the conclusions together with me. He would call his product reps to gain insight on the primer/top-coat systems that would give the best results for various substrates - such as porch floors and aluminum clad windows. I loved that fact that we were a team with a common goal. Eric's pricing is clear and transparent, and I was especially fond of the fact that materials are billed out separately directly from receipts. This ensures that you are always getting the products you pay for, as they have no incentive to purchase inferior products to pad their profit margin. The crew is full of very skilled painters who work hard. They arrive on time, and were always friendly and respectful of our space. Our Victorian home is full of intricate moldings and is 3 stories tall - and all their lines are crisp. There are many established painters who work primarily in the Oak Park area. We took a shot on Eric, and do not regret our decision for a second. What sets him apart from everyone else is that he truly, deeply cares about the job he does for you. Never once in the time they were at our house did I ever question his dedication or his passion. OP Painters has a very bright future. You will be glad that you hired them.
