This is one of my favorite places to shop. The Stafford and JF Ferrar Brands are a good "bang for your buck" and have real quality clothing. Armando the photographer took family photos of us. We had a 30 minute session with nine of us. We wanted awkward and silly family photos. He immediately started to pose us and did an amazing job!!! We got 28 photos of all nine of us in that 30 minute session, and they all turned out fantastic! Ten out of ten, definitely recommend! read more

I like to go to JCPenney for my bed linens and also check out their mens clothing section. Ive been wearing their own Arizona store brand for years. It comparable to other name brands out there but for a more reasonable price. I also like that this store is always clean and brightly lit. I shopped at this JC Penney's store to find some new clothing and household items. I noticed right away there is less inventory in the store - which may be due to the COVID restrictions keeping customers at home. I did find a couple shirts but the selection was less than I have experienced before. I tried finding some household items like towels and a new shower curtain but didn't see the colors I wanted. There is a lot of empty floor space between the merchandise in this area - it's quite noticeable. I had to walk around a bit to find a cash register. Fortunately the store was not busy because there are very few cashiers anymore (they used to have them in every department). Everything rang up with the correct price and the clerk was courteous. Overall is was an OK experience but the store looks a bit dated and tired. read more

Let me say I was impressed with this location at Park Meadows. Lots of products in this store. The one closer to me is so empty looking compared to this one. Honestly, we only went in to browse and found some bath sheets on sale! Yup, we bought some. I couldn't pass up those babies since their h as dd to find. I was pleasantly surprised here. Clean, bright and not chaotic looking . The one closest to me always looks like a hurricane swept through it, but not here. Will we be be back? Sure. Besides, I forgot to take images. Just want to mention how helpful my sales clerk was. Her name was Amy and I was purchasing some things in the women's clothing department, she made lots of recommendations and pointed me toward affordable items that were very fashionable for me to start my new job. She acted like a personal stylist and made lots of recommendations for accessories and shoes in the nearby departments, and she helped me to get credit established and be able to afford the new purchases to get a great start on my new job. She even hooked me up with the hair salon to get a new haircut and color. I was very thankful for all of her help. Never trust this place. I had a $50 a belt I bought on April 18. It's April 30. The belt broke after one use. I had a digital receipt, and the credit card I charged it on. Instead of a refund for $50, they refunded a gift card for $6. They supposedly signed me up for their rewards program but there is no record of my purchase and there is no record of my sign up either So basically I paid $40 to rent a belt for a week. It is no wonder they are in trouble. I will never shop here again. It was an absolute rip off. Then they asked if I really wanted to return it. My question is what do you think I'm going to do with a belt with no buckle? Seriously? It's always nice when a company tells you they don't want your business by telling you to F*** off. read more

JC Penney is a hit or a miss, but this nicer location is a hit for me always. The choices of clothing are dazzling, very darling and fun to shop in. We found some pretty jeans for $26.00, but they didn't compliment my figure at a high. I was a tad bit disappointed. I loved the catch of men's watches-- perfect for my dad's taste. I loved the fitting rooms in this JC Penney. They're so clean and no mess or crumbs on the ground. I love the other shoppers in this location. I purchased blinds with a lifetime warranty. On Feb I9 scheduled an appointment to have a few blinds evaluated and/or taken in for repair. At that time I paid $85 for pickup and installation. A few weeks later 2 blinds were taken. I had 2 others evaluated but JCP man decided they were not in need of repair. A few weeks later, those two did fail to work properly. The man took the 2 blinds but didn't send them to "repair" until I called 2 wks later and inquired about them. Blinds were delivered 5wks later. I scheduled 2 installation appointments, both were cancelled by JCP. Left several messages for Laura, which were never returned. Never heard from JCP until I got a letter JCP claiming bankruptcy. I called today, 3 times. First call, a woman answered and I asked her her name. The call was ended. I called again, thinking it was a mistake. The same woman/Caroline answered, didn't apologize, we spoke a bit about the blind situation. She told me installers had been working since Aug; yet I was never contacted. I asked her what JCP could do to help me. The line went dead, again. I waited 20 minutes before calling a third time. (I know Caroline had both my phone #s.) Caroline answered, I said, "hello Caroline this is T..M..". The line went dead for a third time. Unbelievable. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. This is by far THE WORST experience that I have ever had at any JCPenney. I am a long time, loyal customer and was treated awful by Ebony. After greeting my sister and I, she instantly became nosey and overstepping boundaries, beyond just making friendly small talk. She does my first transactions and made a comment that she can sense that the shawl I was purchasing was for church. Uhmmm ok. Then she begins to ask our ages, and makes rude comments that my mother "didn't waste any time" and "must've gotten really busy" due to the short age difference between my sister and I. She must have not sensed the uncomfortableness because she continued to ask us if we had the same mother and father and how many other siblings we had. I have worked retail and understand striking up a friendly conversation however she was just extremely nosey and came off as judgmental. I brushed it off and continued with my second transaction. I had 3 Nike Tank Tops, all clearance. 1 was marked $14.99 and the other 2 were marked $12.99. I noticed that they all began to ring up $4.49 after the 70% off deal and I simply pointed out to her that the other 2 tags were marked differently. She instantly had an attitude, picked up our shirts and handed it to us and said that we need to take our purchases to a different register because she knows for a fact that Nike is never clearance. I said "how can you say that when they are clearly coming up clearance on your register" and she continued with her attitude and said that someone in Men's can help us and tried to shoo us away. By then my blood was boiling. I was absolutely disgusted at her incompetence and embarrassed at the scene she began to cause. I grabbed the shirts from her hand and put them back on the counter and told her I refuse to go to another register and she can call a Mens associate to come here or call a manager. She radio'd for another associate Jessica to come to the register. Ebony continues her attitude and says "they brought these shirts with pink stickers but Nike isn't ever Clearance." Jessica politely said "well sometimes they are". After checking the price Jessica informed her that they are indeed clearance and that the 2 $12.99 shirts will need to be adjusted to $3.89 instead. Ebony seemed irritated to be corrected then continued to argue in her snarky attitude saying that we need to calm down and don't need to be upset anymore because the prices were fixed. I yelled at her and told her that I do not appreciate her treating us like we switched tags. She is the reason why I was pissed so telling me to calm down is not a good way to de-escalate the situation. The price is not at all why we were upset. Not once did she apologize. She just kept saying "there's no need for all that, I got it fixed and I know Nike is not Clearance." I was shaking I could not grasp the fact that she was really arguing and causing a scene. I am a very understanding and reasonable person. If she is a new or seasonal employee, she should've called Jessica to confirm first instead of trying to send us away and argue. Just because you do not know your merchandise does not make it okay for you to make things up and fast talk a customer with "Nike is never clearance." This is the 3rd Store I visited today with Proof Of Purchase of Clearanced Nike Merchandise at each. Again, I am not even upset about the price. I am absolutely disgusted at the poor customer service we received and I would not recommend this store to anyone if this is how they can expect to be treated. I have visited Citadel and Powers in Colorado Springs and the 2 stores in Aurora all within 24 hours and have never received customer service as poor as this. We bought my wife a new wedding ring from them and OMG what a nightmarish mistake that's turned out to be. For the third time we found out the diamonds were loose again and the prongs were bad. We were fed up with continually having them send it off to get fixed so we wanted Corporates number. Liane, the jewelry manager immediately got an attitude cause she remembered us from the last time and had an attitude then too. First she lied and said she couldn't get us Corporates number. If you're plus size, this JCP is not for you. In general, I tend to find a lot of cute things at JCP. The Ana line as well as a lot of the Worthington stuff is really cute. However, this JCP is the exception. Their selection is meager at best, it's laid out poorly amidst some pajamas, and (not a comment to this JCP in particular), but the sizing this year is ridiculous. I put on a 1x top that was too big, but then ended up with a size 22 pant that i couldn't even button. c'mon now. i figured, by that logic, i could go down to the normal girl section and get an xl top of the same brand/style and it would fit. and guess what, it's the only top they didn't make in both women's and misses styles. boo! I was shopping with a friend of mine and we went down to the regular girl section and there were a lot of cute items that I would have chosen for myself. The selection was large and very appealing. I guess I need to lose an extra 50 lbs to shop here. Oh wait, if I lost an extra 50 lbs, I'd be shopping at JCrew. Bad move, JCP. read more

There's been a lot of negative news about JC Penney. I was hesitant to stop in, but my circumstance pushed me here. I was trying to find a battery for my wife's watch. There is another watch repair shop in the mall and very close by (SEE MY REVIEW). They wanted $20 and wanted to sell me some stupid warranty/contract. Basically they wanted to sell me a battery with a bunch of extra crap. So, I said, no thanks, I prefer to not get scammed, I'm going elsewhere. I tried Dillards, no help, and next in line, JCP. So, up the escalator I go. I find the jewelry department. They are busy, really busy. The three ladies working the area were kicking some serious butt to help everyone. I was really impressed. I asked the lady how much, she said $10.68. I said DEAL!! It was done in like 3 minutes. Great service. Great price. Exceeded my expectation. Oh, and ...... watch was set to the correct time. It was nearly impossible to find a suit jacket because more than half the suit jackets on the clothing rack didn't have the proper size on the hangers. It resulted in a frustrating fury of going through every single jacket and checking the size, which is was too much work for shopping unless I wanted to spend all day in the store. Their recent renovation and upgrade has really turned this store around! I'm usually not a fan of two story department stores (for reasons unknown) but I can get down with this JCP location. Lots of cashier stations, price check scanner do hickey machines and great deals! They went back to having doorbuster specials which the earlybird in me loves and if you go online you can print off a 15% coupon to use in store--awesome! read more

The people up in the men's department do a FANTASTIC job. I just wish this part was more consistent. I noticed a younger gentleman folding clothes and looking frazzled not wanting to help anyone. One of the better JCPenny locations that I have been to. Selection of clothing was good, they had a really large selection left in their clearance section and the staff was really, really helpful. One of the associates helped me by checking a couple of other JCPenny locations to see if they carried certain items in my size that I was unable to find at this store. JCPenny has really changed my opinion of them (for the better) in the last couple of months with their revamp of their mens section, their move back to sale items and the helpful and friendly staff. I have an event on 3-9-18. I placed my order online on 2-24 to 2-26. When I placed my order delivery was 3-2-18 to 3-6-18. THEY DIDN'T SHIP IT UNTIL 3-3-18. I looked at the shipping notification, scheduled delivery changed to 3-12-18. AFTER my event. So, I called to see what was going on. I was told that the shipping delivery date was "Just an estimate and cane take up to 14 days to ship." MEANING IT CAN TAKE UP TO 14 DAYS JUST TO LEAVE THEIR FACILITY. The resolution was once management could contact the post office and confirm that the package was rerouted back to the facility I would get a refund which can take upwards of 48 hours. IF YOU CANT KEEP THE DELIVERY OR ANY OTHER AGREEMENT, DON'T MAKE AN AGREEMENT AT ALL. HAD I BEEN AWARE THAT I WOULD NOT GET THIS STUFF TILL AFTER MY "NEED BY" DATE I WOULD NOT HAVE WASTED TIME WAITING FOR THINGS TO SHOW UP! read more

So I found myself in Park Meadows mall for reasons I'd rather not talk about. Okay, I was Christmas shopping and I also needed to buy some pants because I've gained weight from eating too much cheese from Whole Foods. The last time I was in a JCPenny's was years ago and it was a terrible, awful, horrible experience just like the 20 times I was a in JCPenny's before that. But today I needed some pants, it was the weekend before Christmas and I had tried on pants everywhere else. As I stood munching sadly on my Mrs. Fields cookie, feeling sorry for myself and wishing I hadn't eaten so much damn cheese, I looked up and saw that I was standing in front of JCPenny. At first I thought to myself, "Uh no, no way am I going into a JCPenny." But it looked well lit and there wasn't any terrible techno music coming from inside so I decided to give it a shot. Wow. Something has seriously happened inside JCPenny. It was clean and all the clothes were neatly hanging on their racks or folded on tables. Nothing was strewn about. There were sales people moving about cheerfully and they asked me sincerely if I needed any assistance. I'll go ahead and tell you now that upon arriving home and telling my husband about my amazing JCPenny experience he explained that they had been taken under new ownership a couple of years ago. Aha, well that makes sense. The changing rooms were clean and roomy. The employees were all pleasant and efficient. I did purchase two pairs of pants and a sweater at a ridiculously low price (they were all on a tremendous sale). I even went downstairs and purchased a bathrobe for my daughter and took a peak at the housewares. I haven't had a chance to wear these clothes yet but the quality appears a good value for the price. My usual top places to buy clothes are Eddie Bauer, Anthropologie, and Nordstroms so that tells you what I'm comparing it to. I can not imagine I would make JCPenny's my number one place to shop but I was impressed by the improvements this store has made. The clientele seemed improved too. It was normal people in there. It was very calm and nothing like being in a WalMart which is what it used to be like. If you haven't been into a JCPenny's in a few years, you really ought to give them another chance. They've seriously stepped it up. read more

This JcPenney was nice and clean but had a limited amount of sizes for the Junior and Misses clothing area. I found a lot of clothes out of place and or not marked on sale properly. They need to update their styles and update their sales a lot better. The parking can also be a little tricky along with getting in and out. read more

Last year my daughter came with her 8 month old baby and we went to the portrait studio in JC Penneys at the Park Meadows mall. The portraits were excellent, we were super pleased. This year, when they came to visit I could not get an appointment for portraits. I spoke with Nicole in the portrait studio and explained the situation. My daughter lives in Alaska, and we had not seen her or the baby for a year. We had gathered great grandma, grandma, mom+sister and the 1 year old for photos but there were literally no appointments available until after my daughter left. Nicole had an appointment she had made to get portraits of her own daughter and she generously allowed us to have her appointment! The day came and the 1 year old was having a tough time. There were tantrums and howling and all kinds of fury, but the photographer Katie (with a bit of help from Nicole) managed to get some gorgeous images. JC Penney portrait studio in Park Meadows mall is horrible. We've had great experiences with other JCP studios in the past but this was our first at Park Meadows and I recommend STAY AWAY! - we were misquoted over the phone and charged almost double after our pictures were taken - we purchased a CD album and got home and there was no pictures on the CD. - returned and were offered some free portraits to make up for and was told they'd be rush delivered, took an extra week to get them - the original order was supposed to come with 6 free Holiday cards, still haven't received them! - Called to see what they would do for us and they said they'll give us more free portraits on our next sitting, guess what, NO WAY are we going back! We waited almost an hour past our appointment time for photos and they place was just an unorganized mess. You can do better somewhere else, ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

They have the worst customer service for their online products I've ever seen. Their system is so antiquated that paper and pen would be a better option. If you order something online be sure to keep great records, they will "forget" to give you discounts, they will say no shipping charges and them add them anyway, they'll take your order and never send it, they can't track your order by payment, your rewards most likely won't get credited but you won't be able to access your rewards account to check it out anyway as the system is always down, It's no wonder JCPenney is losing business to Amazon. I doubt they'll be in business in another year or two unless they get their act together. It's sad because their products are pretty good for the price if you ever get what you want. read more
