The makeover of this store has been exceptional in the past two years, thanks to new management and wonderful employees. I recommend shopping at J.C. Penney for the quality of products, affordability, and the many ongoing sales. The staff is extremely helpful, and it is fun to browse. Don't pay attention to any reviews before 2025, ok? I enjoy JC Penney. I can find moderately priced, good clothing for work. We're in the throes of a heat wave in Central Texas and I hit JC Penney at the exact right time! They're running a huge Father's Day sale and even though I was only shopping for myself....absolutely cleaned up! The young man who rang up my purchases was absolutely delightful! read more

Nadine in the salon is absolutely horrible. I scheduled an appointment online through the JCP Salon website a week in advance. I walked into the salon with my small child in tow 20 minutes before the appointment time. Nadine very callously asked what I needed, mind you she was sitting in a salon chair on her phone. When I told her I was there for my appointment she instantly began arguing with me, stating I didn't have an appointment. She claimed that either the website messed up my appointment or I did it wrong. She condescendingly asked me if I hit submit. I even tried to show her my confirmation and the event the site added to my phone's calendar. Instead of trying to come up with a solution she talked down to me up until I left without a resolution. read more

this is the worst possible store not only is the store dirty the management is horrible today a friend and I were shopping and were harassed by a supervisor Charlotte, Dempsey, and the beauty manager, Melissa Vela. we walked in through the men's entrance. I walked over to jewelry because I had some repairs that needed to be done. My friend walked over to beauty to buy a lip gloss. I walked in there when I was done at jewelry we saw another friend Richard, who was in the beauty store, and I started talking to him about his dog. His sister was getting make up applied by the beauty manager, Melissa Vela. She stopped what she was doing called Charlotte, who was working at the men's register that had a long line, over into the beauty department. Charlotte proceeded to come in, and started yelling at me and my friend Jay, for absolutely no reason at all ( other than us being ex employees) , she continued yelling at Us until we walked out through the mall doors, she followed us yelling very loudly other customers were looking at us. We actually had a customer come up to us in another store and ask if we were OK. Melissa Vela (who took my position after I left) hand wrote notes of some bogus employment with my actual phone number and information on it and post them all over the mall. The mall manager called me and let me know.. police were called and a report made. I have reached out to the store manager and to HR and nothing has been done. This is very unprofessional for managers and supervisors to be acting this way for absolutely no reason at all it's harassment and it's embarrassing.. as of today my husband and I will be closing our JCPenney credit card, and no longer shopping with the store and we will let all of our friends and family and as many people as we can of this situation since absolutely nothing has been done. read more

This was an ok JcPenny. They had good sales however it is very very small, therefore all the clothes were packed together into the store as well as racks outside of the store. The service was hit and miss. There was one employee that was welcoming however there was another at the cashier that was very slow. The service when checking out took more than 10 minutes so I left to another register. Luckily this employee was available. They didn't have a great variety of sizes as the location is very small. Since it is one of the only stores in the town I was in, I would go there again but hopefully they would have what I needed. Other than the slow cashier the experience was ok. read more

I went in for a haircut since I think it's one of the few barber places open on a Monday. It took over an hour to do a short trim. I would have gotten up and left but I couldn't leave with half a haircut. The person cutting my hair was fine but she kept having to answer the phone and help customers checkout even though there were 3 other people there working and just sitting on their phones laughing about facebook. It was ridiculous. The manager came over and showed the lady cutting my hair something someone posted and she was still oblivious to the phone ringing off the hook. A mens haircut shouldn't take more than 15 mins tops. The poor girl cutting my hair and running back and forth looked like she was gonna cry. read more

There's this manager called David. When I went there, I literally sat in the box and did nothing. I then get kicked out for harassment because I apparently "recorded" someone. When people are literally slap-boxing and fighting, he does nothing about it. In the clothes though? Don't buy Vans there. 75% are flat out fake and I didn't even notice until I owned 2 pairs of real Vans. read more

Small town store with a great selection, even better prices. I don't know what Kerrville would do without a department store like JCPenney. Service folks are always very nice, with remodeling the store is in disarray, but I highly anticipate what will be. read more

Ever since JCPenney change managers the store has become circus you can't find a customer service representative they have completely shut down the little girls dept, coupons are all now with a catch, you can't return gift items to exchange without a receipt. I closed my account and destroyed my card. read more

This is a comment I have concerning the employees at the Kerrville TX store. While I was there waiting to helped by a nice lady named Pat, she needed to call "Gloria" to come up and help her ring up a clearance item that wasn;t ringing up the correct price. She was very rude to Pat in her condescending way she talked to Pat. Also, she told her not to "forget" to do a chore she had for her. She had to call her again even after doing what "Gloria" said to do. She called her again and she didn't even brother to come up and help Pat. I must have been there at least a good 20 minutes for one sale. I didn't appreciate the Gloria talked to the other employee twice !!! read more
