When we walked in we saw military helmets in a glass case, and lots of large, heavy furniture. The facebook page said they were a women's boutique, but the sign said decor, antiques and found items. We saw some women's clothing and some jewelry but for the most part there was an eclectic mix of altered art, some at very high prices, well out of our price range in any case, and miscellany. We really could not figure out what kind of store this is hoping to be. Because they are new I am giving an extra star to give them time to see what inventory moves and define themselves. My companions pretty quickly decided they weren't interested in anything, but I found a basket of some kind of floral head band fairy crown things and decided on one for my granddaughter. At the same time my friends found a new made wooden box with some folk art Noah's Ark scene painted on it. The price was about $35 so I decided to buy it as well. Afterwards I felt like it was kind of an impulse buy, but I did my part to patronize the new business. This store needs a bit of time to get organized and figure out what will sell in Comfort. I've been antique shopping in Comfort for 35 years, and this shop can fill a void from all the shops that have closed their doors in the past decades and moved to antiques malls. But not yet.

I enjoyed grabbing coffee from the shop in the morning and strolling through the antiques and gift store before we left town. Good prices! Easy to book; great service & value! The staff is even righter from the lady who runs the store to the bar keep. And there's a hidden gem in the Casitas that rent nightly through VRBO. These two beautiful and eclectic casitas made our trip. We stayed in the Symphony casita and it lived up to its name with repurposed instruments making up much of the decor. The amenities that come with both units are flawless (our friends had the second casita) from welcoming complimentary beverages and candies to a fully equipped Keurig to WiFi and charging stations to a personal sign welcoming your party to golf carts (complimentary) to use to zoom around town. These items are unique and quite spectacular. They offer hand-painted wall tiles, knit items, purses, rustic flatware, plates, Uno de 50 jewelry (from Spain), high-end candles, home decor, and wine accessories. Each time we visit, we find something nice. The store was previously a bar and they offer wine tastings. The wine is from boutique wineries you'll likely find nowhere else. They are expanding out back with an outdoor seating area. On completion, I expect they'll have food and even more wine. We look forward to many more visits.

Beware of representation of color.... The description of the…read moreitem I purchased clearly stated "Crisp White" long sleeve blouse. Not only did the verbal description state "Crisp White", but the photograph posted to illustrate the item I was purchasing, showed a photo of a WHITE blouse. The item that was shipped to me was without question, a yellowish cream color, anything but white. When I shipped it back to them, I had apparently missed the return window, and they refused to accept the return, and issue a refund. The only way I would be made anywhere close to "whole" financially, was to reluctantly pay them the $8.17 they were charging me for ground shipping, for shipping the cream colored blouse back to me. (One thing to note...the shipping charge that paid when I purchased the blouse was $7.82. But for some reason, to ship the exact same items back to me they are charging me $8.17.) Additionally, I had to pay to ship the return back to them..... They FORCED me to keep the blouse that they misrepresented, in order for me to keep from losing the entire $95.12 purchase price plus the return shipping I paid. I felt like I was being cornered into paying a bounty for the return of an item that wasn't even accurately represented. Now it will be shipped back to me and I will be receiving a blouse that I don't want, and that I had to pay an extra $8.17 for!!!! And I still don't have a crisp white blouse that I need for my staple wardrobe. REALLY WRONG!!
