BEWARE of LUX Nails! I came here to pamper myself for the first time with their $85 "24K Gold Pedicure" and a full acrylic set, but it was hands-down the worst salon experience I've ever had. To start, the girl at the front desk was polite, but she had no idea what I was asking for or what services they offered--not a great first impression for a receptionist greeting incoming clients. Things went downhill fast once the pedicure started with Lisa. She insisted I had ingrown nails. I clearly told her no and explained that I have surgical scars on both big toes specifically to prevent ingrowns. Despite my explicit refusal, she started digging around and forcefully pulling at my toes without my permission. I felt a tremendous amount of pain and immediately began bleeding. She then poured a blue liquid on the wounds to stop the bleeding, which burned horribly. I was ready to walk out, but the tech next to me chimed in saying it would "feel better after," so I tried to trust that they were professionals. I couldn't enjoy a single second of the pedicure due to the severe pain. To make matters worse, the owner, Vivian, decided to start my full set of acrylics at the exact same time. If I'm paying $85 for a premium pedicure service to relax, having someone hovering over my hands at the same time is completely unprofessional. Once the pedicure ended, Vivian rushed through my manicure. She kept jumping back and forth between me and other customers, which raised huge red flags regarding sanitation. The final result was terrible: no cuticle prep, nails were never filed properly, and the acrylics were bulky, uneven, and poorly shaped. On top of that, the retention was awful--the set barely lasted a week. I later found out that nail technicians aren't legally allowed to cut or remove what they claim are ingrown nails. My toes were left with bad scarring, and I was in pain for over two weeks. The lack of cleanliness was so alarming that I had to visit my doctor to ensure I hadn't contracted an infection or disease. I was so happy with the gel pedicure I received. The hot stone pedicure felt great, and the color application was completely smooth. No bubbles or streaks. I would return in the future. read more

Came in asking for just toes to be polished because I was short on time. Immediately the lady acted weird because I didn't want a full pedicure. Like she was bothered. I explained I wanted builder gel on big toes and she insisted on acrylic instead. Then when I told her I wanted a removal of what was there she was unhappy. She slapped gel remover on then removed it with the drill causing the product to get on my skin causing my skin to burn. I told her and she was bothered. Dusted it off and processed to continue. Then when I mentioned the builder gel wasn't off, (I can tell because I have a broken nail...ie why I want builder gel to make it square) she argued with me, got up, threw her heads in the air and proceeded to talk bad about me. I used Google Translate. Then had someone else come work on me like she couldn't be bothered. I was kind. Said please and thank you when asking for what I wanted. Will not be back. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I work in this industry and know how to treat clients. It doesn't matter what a client asks for, you do it and charge for it. And if you can't, then say that. I pay and tip $20 plus every time I receive a service. I would have even been okay if it didn't come out perfect being that it was my first time and I didn't know what I'd get but the way I was treated was awful. Uncomfortable vibe when they are speaking bad about you like it's not 2026 and we can't translate quick. I will say the guy that finished my service was kind. He did a decent job on finishing the service. read more

I came in as a walk-in for a pedicure. I was greeted right away with a smile. The shop is very clean and inviting. There are four pedicure stations and four manicure stations. Prices are clearly posted. Acrylic sets are $25, pedicures start at $25, manicures $12 at the time of this post. They also do waxing, eyelash extensions and permanent make-up. The tool kit came sealed so I felt confident I was safe. The pedicure was not as relaxing as I would have liked for example, the "hot towel wrap" was a towel wrapped over both feet instead of the usual towel on each foot and up the leg. She also didn't spend very much time massaging or pounding my feet. She did spend a great deal of time making sure my polish was perfect which I appreciated. Overall, for the price it was a good experience and I would recommend them. read more

Silly me. I had an appointment with American Nails which is two doors down from Lux Nails. I never had been to either and I'm unfamiliar with the neighborhood. When I walked I asked for the man I had made the appointment with, "Yes, yes." I asked does ??? work here? "Yes, oh yes." I have an 11:30 appoint (I got there at 11:20). "Yes, yes. Have a seat." That's the part where I feel they deliberately misled me. I might have forgiven them if the manicure had been good. The manicurist hurt me. She actually drew blood on one of my fingers. She didn't work on the cuticles, didn't soften anything, didn't trim anything. She dipped my nails but they are ragged and uneven. Plus, the place was not that clean. RUN. read more

it was not what i expected i have had better pedicures at other places and for less money and they did more services. i was not satisfied at all with my pedicure they did not scrub my ruff heels but for like 2 seconds if that (my heels are still ruff and have dead skin on them still) and they said for and extra 5 dollars they would scrub them more and didnt tell us that the gel polish would cost us an additional 15.00 more. i will not be going back!!!!! read more
