I hope they are using Ebay prices for items that actually sold, not what are being asked It is staffed by all volunteers and last year they gave $1 million to the Hill Country Youth Ranch. That sounds like a lot but given expenses have been exceeding revenue by over $1 million a year the Youth Ranch Foundation continues to cover it but their money won't last for ever. I have friends who moved to the Big Springs Ranch for Children in Leaky which is part of HCYR to be volunteer live in grand parents. Beautiful setting with a working ranch, charter school and chapel but I believe only 2 of their 6 cabins are in use now. It's hard to get staff when you are that far from a good sized town.

I shopped at the home furnishing side of the business and purchased some amazing candles from brands I was not familiar with from Europe. Tina help me with my selections and was really nice and knowledgeable. There are so many amazing things to look at and purchase. It's exciting to go into a boutique featuring inventory you haven't seen before and be helped by someone that knows so much about the craftsmanship and quality of the products. It's clear they really care about their customers. From the customer service to the packaging of your purchases to receiving a handwritten thank you note the mail! All first class. I received them relatively quickly via UPS, but when they arrived the pants had clearly been tried on a number of times or worn and smelled distinctively like cigarette smoke. I emailed and then spoke to someone at the store and they said to get them dry cleaned. :( Not really great customer service. For online shopping - I suggest looking elsewhere if you can.

Our family has attended St. Peter's for many years. But specifically my connection with The Cottage Shop is that my beloved Grandmother 'worked' there as a volunteer. When I'm gathering together donations, the finest and best quality donations I save for The Cottage Shop! It is well worth your time to head over to Tivy and Main to have a look!
