I hope they are using Ebay prices for items that actually sold, not what are being asked It is staffed by all volunteers and last year they gave $1 million to the Hill Country Youth Ranch. That sounds like a lot but given expenses have been exceeding revenue by over $1 million a year the Youth Ranch Foundation continues to cover it but their money won't last for ever. I have friends who moved to the Big Springs Ranch for Children in Leaky which is part of HCYR to be volunteer live in grand parents. Beautiful setting with a working ranch, charter school and chapel but I believe only 2 of their 6 cabins are in use now. It's hard to get staff when you are that far from a good sized town.

Volunteers are generally quite friendly and are happy to chat, especially with regular customers. If you go, I'm sure you'll become a regular too! I've visited just about every thrift and antique shop in the hill country area, but this is the only thrift shop I visit on a near-weekly basis, simply because it's such a pleasant shopping experience. Item pricing is generally very reasonable, they have a few higher-priced items but many lower-priced to make up for it, and they put out new items fairly frequently.

This shop features unique items like Zippo lighters with service insignias, model boats like a Cutty Sark, books, records, clothing, tools and various art objects, baseball cards, pictures all at very reasonable prices! In the past Finds had two buildings on the same block , one…read morefull of Christmas stuff, and one full of every day things that people will buy on a regular basis. Recently they closed down to redo the stores what they have done is ruined the one with all the every day items by moving all the Christmas stuff to that location literally 3/4 of the store now is overpriced Xmas stuff and overpriced things. Typically we visit there every weekend and usually bought $20 worth or more of stuff, for the last two weekends that we have been there we have bought nothing because of the Christmas incursion. It is no longer a thrift store but it is the premier highly overpriced priced Kerrville Christmas accessory do dad store. We now go to the Texas Hill country youth Ranch thrift store and the Humane Society thrift store where prices are more affordable for every day items that you may need for your household.
