i had a coupon for 20% off, and everything was supposed to be on sale. There was a cuisinart coffee maker listed at $175, (which is crazy) "on sale" for $109. At checkout, the cashier told me that the coffee maker was excluded from the coupon. I had a belt and wallet as well, so I asked her to ring up the coffee maker anyway, and asked her if I could return it if I found a better price. "Sure" she said. So, while I was having lunch with my friend, I checked prices for the cuisinart at other local stores. Bed bath and beyond had it for $99 and I had a 20% off coupon that I COULD use. I went back to Jcp to return the coffee maker, since I could save $30 by doing so, and when I looked at the receipt I noticed I was actually charged $119! The cashier got a manager, who was very condescending. Saying things like, " hmmmmmm, so even though you knew you could get a better price, you bought it anyway?" Rolling her eyes, shaking her head, like I was doing some scam or something. I'm the one who was not only over charged, but mislead by their "Sale." Shame on JCP, and the unprofessional, insulting way my transaction was handled. I'll never go back, and this store is 5 minutes from my house. That store was empty, and now I know why.
