He's a regular there, and it shows -- people know him, stop to chat, and you can feel the love around his work. He's from Peru and the craftsmanship is next level. He uses traditional crochet techniques (yes, crochet... but make it jewelry) where every piece is built loop by loop by hand. It's slow, detailed, and rooted in a long history of Peruvian textile artistry that goes back generations. Fun fact: in Peruvian culture, textiles and handwork have historically been more valuable than gold because they told stories about identity, status, and community... which makes this kind of work feel even more meaningful. We picked out a bracelet for our daughter and it didn't feel like a random purchase... more like it picked her. Each piece carries its own energy and intention, so nothing feels duplicated or mass made. Also just a genuinely kind human, which makes it even better. My mom visiting from the Bay Area had a mission and that was to buy as many masks as possible to redistribute back to her friends and Hong Kong. Back in the Bay Area, EVERYWHERE was temporarily sold out. I called prior to coming in and the kind lady said she just got some in stock. My mom managed to get a case of masks and she is now one happy mommy :) I'm amazed at how clean the place was and the great customer service they provided. It was my first time coming in a medical supply place so I had no clue whether I had to be a professional or need any special license. I needed a boot for a foot injury, but sadly I had been having trouble with my new insurance company, so while waiting to get my insurance card and make a doctor's appointment, I figured I'd get a boot to alleviate my foot pain. The woman I worked with was incredibly helpful and amazing. She let me try on several boots, and when I decided I didn't one that comes up to your shin, she helped me find an ankle height boot. They didn't have any in stock, so she called four different places around Vancouver (something I was more than happy to do myself). But hey, I won't complain about the extra help! No one around had any, so we looked through catalogs together until I found the right one. She was honest and said it would take a week to arrive, and with foot pain, a week is a long time. She was able to get it express ordered, obviously at an extra fee, but even the extra cost wasn't a lot. They don't bill your insurance anyway, so I was able to get my boot within three days. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend Orion to anyone who needs medical supplies.

When I started looking for florists all I had were a mish mosh of Pinterest images and a niche, nebulous idea of a theme to go on, and Angelena took it, ran with it, and totally killed it. She helped me narrow down some specific vibes and colors for my wedding, and really made my vision come to life. My flowers and decor were the number 1 thing I cared about, and had spent so much time stressing over. But in the end, I should have never been worried because Angelena just gets it. She sent over her design ideas for my signage and I nearly died because she NAILED IT on the first try- everything turned out AMAZING. She knew exactly what I wanted before I did. Also, her turn around time from us discussing a design to her sending over a mock up is FAST like it's unreal! Also, the icing on the cake is her prices. The amount of work she did for us and her talent alone is worth every single penny. Like honestly, flowers can be ungodly expensive so I really feel like we got an absolute steal for what we paid. Angelena, almost telepathically, knew what we wanted and improved on the vision even further. I am a maximalist by nature and worried I had gone overboard ( it was urban jungle with a reference to botanical illustrations and 19th century art...really out there I know.) I was terrified that it wouldn't be cohesive. Angelena, with her eye for aesthetic floral arrangements, tied all of it together. I do art for a day job, and elected do do some diy for budget reasons. I bit far more than I could chew : menus, invitation suites, escort cards, photo booth props/strips, and even animated projection graphics. I was able to send all of this to her for her to reference and she got the visual language IMMEDIATELY. A couple days later, she presented the perfect moodboard, literally her first pass was everything we envisioned. Our venue also had a magnet wall we were using as a seating chart. By this point I became EXHAUSTED by the overwhelming amount of DIY I put into the escort cards by the designing, fussing over fonts, misprints, reshuffling of seating arrangements and my partner weary from all the glueing, cutting, and tying. We could not think of an effective solution for the "find your seat portion" of the top. We entertained the idea of clear acrylic cut outs on fishing line(very expensive, also the plastic shop I was working with told me my wedding font was too delicate to make it work), laser cut wooden letters on magnets (cheap, but worried about spacing and alignment). Angelena proposed a simple elegant solution: vinyl letters glued on to a strip of faux leather attached to the wall with magnets. It was cost effective and I got to keep my wedding fonts consistent! She also reassured me that she can remove the vinyl lettering and reuse the strip for another wedding(we love to reuse, repurpose, and recycle!) The whole night guests could not stop commenting on how gorgeous the wedding was. Angelena honestly made all those nights where me and my partner stayed up crafting in tears worth it. Everything felt so intentional and elevated. Despite doing a lot of DIY to save on cost, I feel like I had a wedding worthy of a Pinterest board or wedding magazine. And Angelena herself is a joy. Patient and responsive, and very passionate about what she does. It is rare when someone automatically just gets your vision and just executes despite how chaotic the creative process and wedding planning can be. Multiple times this went back and forth with my needing reach back out to follow up and getting told a date that wasn't actually when they shipped. When they came, the company did provide a few extra pieces to account for the wait which was super nice and I appreciated. I did end up placing another order hoping maybe it was just a one time unfortunate problem. The same thing happened. Repeated delays in shipping, multiple months past when I was told things would be moving along and overall just a bummer to be told something and have that deadline be missed. I get it's a small business, and I placed an order that was to build out a set of bowls and plates so I understand the time it takes to create these pieces. The biggest issue was the lack of communication unless I had prompted it and the inability to provide an accurate timeline on the items purchased. Getting to the actual pieces--for the price, I would not recommend. The glaze crazed meaning they are no longer food safe. Huge investment for a product that was no longer useable within a few months.

I've been using Print & Play Admagic for my board game design prototypes and they are wonderful! I…read moreintend to use them for final game pieces as well. All the cards, tokens, and counters I've had custom printed have turned out wonderful and the price is so reasonable that I can order 1 or 2 copies of my latest prototype without stressing about final art because I know printing the next prototype will be fast and easy. The only time I ever had a printing issue was when I didn't account for the "safe" area vs "bleed" area correctly and that was 100% my mistake, not theirs. I've always received my orders in about a week (I'm in Las Vegas, USA) which is super exciting because my projects keep rolling forward with fast, affordable iterations. Also, I've been blown away by my interactions with their customer service team. I really love and recommend Print & Play Admagic! I've used several of Print & Play's services on multiple occasions: everything from purchasing various bits and bobs (meeples, tokens, etc), to printing custom cards, hex tiles, and even game boards. Apparently they even do 3D printing now, as well! Turn around time for most orders is around 48 hours, and the convenience of being able to drive up and pick up my order on a lunch break, bypassing shipping fees, is huge, and gets the components into my hands swiftly, allowing me to continue brainstorming and testing. That is, until I get a new idea, and have to print everything over again! /facepalm I would say prices are very reasonable; I've seen similar vendors online that charge the same or more, plus shipping, for the same quality of components, so I've yet to find a competitive alternative. My only negative experiences with Admagic were years ago, when two separate custom card deck orders ended up with upwards of half of the deck misprinted or improperly cut, resulting in ugly, off-center, virtually unusable cards. It took some sorting out through several (rather frustrated) emails on my part, and a discussion with the owner, Shari Spiro. Fortunately, we had serendipitously met at PAX a few years prior, and had exchanged information when we discovered we lived in the same town, and I was in the process of designing my own game. Once everything was sorted out, I was satisfied, and continue to use Print and Play's services to this day. Board game design feels like a "one-step forward, three steps back" process at times, but I'm glad to have Admagic there to help me pick up the pieces...as well as print new ones! Just be sure to check your orders for quality and accuracy.
