We knew from the very beginning we didn't want the standard peonies and roses combo. We wanted something unique, memorable, and true to us and the venue we had chosen. Angelena, almost telepathically, knew what we wanted and improved on the vision even further. I am a maximalist by nature and worried I had gone overboard ( it was urban jungle with a reference to botanical illustrations and 19th century art...really out there I know.) I was terrified that it wouldn't be cohesive. Angelena, with her eye for aesthetic floral arrangements, tied all of it together. I do art for a day job, and elected do do some diy for budget reasons. I bit far more than I could chew : menus, invitation suites, escort cards, photo booth props/strips, and even animated projection graphics. I was able to send all of this to her for her to reference and she got the visual language IMMEDIATELY. A couple days later, she presented the perfect moodboard, literally her first pass was everything we envisioned. Our venue also had a magnet wall we were using as a seating chart. By this point I became EXHAUSTED by the overwhelming amount of DIY I put into the escort cards by the designing, fussing over fonts, misprints, reshuffling of seating arrangements and my partner weary from all the glueing, cutting, and tying. We could not think of an effective solution for the "find your seat portion" of the top. We entertained the idea of clear acrylic cut outs on fishing line(very expensive, also the plastic shop I was working with told me my wedding font was too delicate to make it work), laser cut wooden letters on magnets (cheap, but worried about spacing and alignment). Angelena proposed a simple elegant solution: vinyl letters glued on to a strip of faux leather attached to the wall with magnets. It was cost effective and I got to keep my wedding fonts consistent! She also reassured me that she can remove the vinyl lettering and reuse the strip for another wedding(we love to reuse, repurpose, and recycle!) The whole night guests could not stop commenting on how gorgeous the wedding was. Angelena honestly made all those nights where me and my partner stayed up crafting in tears worth it. Everything felt so intentional and elevated. Despite doing a lot of DIY to save on cost, I feel like I had a wedding worthy of a Pinterest board or wedding magazine. And Angelena herself is a joy. Patient and responsive, and very passionate about what she does. It is rare when someone automatically just gets your vision and just executes despite how chaotic the creative process and wedding planning can be. I say this from one creative to another, Angelena is a great one, well worth beyond the quote she gave me. 100000/10 service. read more

Writing a review is a good start but will never be enough because there is no way to TRULY put into words how INSANELY TALENTED and OUT OF THIS WORLD Angelena is... I wasn't too concerned with much about my wedding EXCEPT for the flowers and styling -- and Angelena just knocked it out of the goddamn park. From our first email, she was SO thorough and seemed to understand what I was hoping for with very little clarity on my end and continued to be lovely and on top of it and just freaking CALM in such a chaotic time. Everything was stunning. People are STILL talking about my bouquet. Our wedding sign? A FREAKING HIT. Our donut wall was fine, ANGELENA LIT THAT SH*T UP. All expletives aside, Angelena made the day SO special. Every flower. Every design. Every element of "beauty" and "vibe" was there and it truly made the day feel so easy. I would hire her again and again and again and am so grateful to have had her as a vendor. I hope I have the opportunity to work with her again. And again. And again. Maybe not for a wedding (obvi, we want it to last) but other events, 100% Shindig Chic and Angelena are the homies. read more

Shindig Chic surpassed all of our expectations! We hired Angelena for our wedding as she was honest and straight forward from the start. Over video chat and email it was obvious she was organized, creative, and very efficient. She worked with me to get the mood board for the wedding perfect, not afraid to make adjustments or pivot original plans. It took only a few revisions to finalize the plans for the wedding. When I arrived at the venue, I was truly blown away. My bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning and all of my bridesmaids' bouquets were beautiful. Although the color palette was seemingly plain (white, with some black and green) she brought the mood board to life beyond my wildest dreams. The ceremony space, though not overwhelming with florals, felt warm and bright like even though the wedding was on a overcast February day because of the gorgeous floral arrangements. Her and her team took white florals and made them stand out in the best way possible. Not only is she creative, efficient, and so talented, she is also very upfront about costs and was willing to work with my budget. Each revision came with an updated cost estimate and she provided various options and costs when creating proposals. Would 10/10 recommend reaching out to Shindig Chic for all floral needs. read more

I got married on 10/28/23, and I'm trying to write this review but having a hard time putting into words how talented and amazing Angelena is and how she absolutely MADE my entire wedding and if you are even considering hiring Shindig Chic for your wedding this is your sign to stop considering and hire this woman because you will not be disappointed I promise you! When I started looking for florists all I had were a mish mosh of Pinterest images and a niche, nebulous idea of a theme to go on, and Angelena took it, ran with it, and totally killed it. She helped me narrow down some specific vibes and colors for my wedding, and really made my vision come to life. My flowers and decor were the number 1 thing I cared about, and had spent so much time stressing over. But in the end, I should have never been worried because Angelena just gets it. She sent over her design ideas for my signage and I nearly died because she NAILED IT on the first try- everything turned out AMAZING. She knew exactly what I wanted before I did. Also, her turn around time from us discussing a design to her sending over a mock up is FAST like it's unreal! Also, the icing on the cake is her prices. The amount of work she did for us and her talent alone is worth every single penny. Like honestly, flowers can be ungodly expensive so I really feel like we got an absolute steal for what we paid. Finally, the last thing I want to say here is I was so in love with my bouquet I paid a crap ton of money just to have it professionally preserved because it was that good and I want to save it forever. TLDR; stop looking and just hire Shindig Chic because it will be the best wedding decision you will make! read more

Bummed I can only give Shindig Chic 5 stars because I want to give them 5 thousand stars. Angelena and Erin are actual GENIUSES. Their talent makes me absolutely insane. Not sure where to begin. I started out my process not sure what I wanted, but could tell you what looked good to me & what didn't. Angelena helped me figure out what it was that I loved about my inspiration photos and we were able to create a palette and vision from that. The relief of not having to worry about signage or florals (which were the most important part to me), table decor...ANY decor was like I checked 30 huge wedding todo boxes at once. Using Shindig Chic so much pressure was lifted that when people would ask me what I had left to do for wedding prep I was concerned I was forgetting something huge because my list was so manageable. The best advice I got during my wedding planning was from Angelena. She told me to find specific things about my now husband and I that I may want to include to make the wedding more personalized to us. I didn't even think of doing anything specific before that conversation and with that advice we came up with our favorite parts of the wedding. When I got to the venue and saw what they had set up already I burst into tears. It was more perfect and beautiful than I could have even imagined. They literally made my wedding dreams come true. I will never run out of great things to say about Shindig Chic. I will refer them to any and every couple getting married or having an event and I will never have a big event without them. Their work was the best part of my wedding and the best decision I made. I got an overwhelming amount of compliments about every single thing they did. Actual ANGEL GODDESSES with an unfair amount of skill. read more

I'm so excited to finally write this review about Shindig Chic and the masterpieces that Angelena created. If you don't want to read a whole review just know you've found your florist/designer. I was nervous about pricing as I did want to go minimalist but still have quite a bit of pop and besides all the flowers, I also asked Angelena to do our signage. I absolutely loved everything she created (as did our guests who commented on how beautiful the arrangements were). After sharing some ideas on a pinterest board, Angelena sent mock-ups to make sure I liked it and what she made happen in reality was even more amazing. She's authentic, extremely professional and super sweet! If you're looking for something smaller or something grand, Shindig Chic is Thank you for everything, you made the day look perfect!! read more

A huge thank you for making my daughter's wedding weekend so unbelievably GORGEOUS. It was a tropical delight that brought the venue to life in such a colorful and beautiful way. You are truly a floral ninja who is gifted in the art of making a vision in someone's mind come to life. Everything you did way exceeded my hopes and expectations. I can't tell you how many compliments your work/design has received from guests young and old. The signage and menus were as darling as the flowers and chuppah were beautiful. Angelena and all the Shindig Chic crew truly shine! read more

Shindig Chic is AMAZING. When I saw their work online, the first thing I noticed was how all of the florals were styled so differently. That showed me how versatile they are and how they can create so many different and beautiful looks - true artistry! We worked with Angelena and during our first planning meeting I was SO inspired and excited! I could tell she was full of ideas and sent us this beautiful mood board and detailed proposal for our seating chart design. Even with the planning and prep, nothing prepared me for seeing her work in person on my wedding day. I could not look away from the arrangements and the seating chart. My bouquet made me tear up! Angelena's work brought the VIBE and I felt like my personality was in those flowers. Thank you so so much Shindig Chic for the most beautiful designs and execution! read more

Shindig Chic - Florists Near Me

Shindig Chic was the first vendor inquiry that I made, and the first vendor I booked. Prior to even getting engaged, I knew I wanted to go with them as my florist based on all the drop-dead gorgeous florals I had seen online and the rave reviews. Thankfully my date was still available, prices were reasonable, and to top if off, Angelena was super sweet from the get go and understood my vision. I already had a Pinterest board going, and as she predicted, that board evolved over the next few months. I went from wanting a strong burgundy and green color palette to choosing a relatively neutral color scheme with pops of color. Regardless of color, I knew I wanted the vibe to be moody, romantic, and modern. Fast forward, we talked about the final design expectations six weeks before the big day. Though my Type A personality wanted to know what exact flowers were chosen, I knew I could trust Angelena and she absolutely nailed every little detail! From the selection of the flowers, to the bud vase colors, to the styling of candles and votives, it was all just STUNNING. I still can't believe how beautiful everything came out. Everyone - I mean everyone - raved about the florals and couldn't wait to take them home! Added bonus, Angelena pointed me to my photographer too - and she also couldn't have been more perfect for the day. Do not think twice and book Angelena and Shindig Chic immediately! read more

After emailing about a dozen florists for my wedding trying to find the right aesthetic fit and price point for my budget, the heaven's parted and Angelena emailed me back that she was available on my wedding date! THANK GOD FOR HER. She was easy to communicate with and worked with me to exactly narrow down what I was envisioning, but was having trouble explaining. Florals are such a big part of a wedding that I wanted to get it just right, and boy did she get me! When I first arrived at our venue, I was legit STUNNED by how GORGEOUS everything was (I teared up). It was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I'm so grateful to her and her talent! She was so sweet and chill to work with. I received so many compliments from our guests. I was able to take home some of the leftover accent pieces and have them in vases throughout my house - every time I see them they make me so happy! I also loved my bouquet so much that I'm getting it preserved! HIRE THIS WOMAN! :) read more

We love Shindig Chic and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a florist! As we searched for florists during our wedding planning days, we found florists to be one of the more difficult vendors to work with and get answers from (Maybe it's because they're creative? Or maybe it's because they're just plain ol' mean?) but Shindig Chic was nothing but roses to work with (see what I did there?!). Angelena was so encouraging of our diverse color palette and eased all of the worries we had when it came to answering our questions and making sure everything looked beyond our wildest dreams! From the moment we saw her work online, we knew she was the right gal for us. And as we look back on our photos today, we couldn't feel more confident in recommending her to you. Don't let the biggest shindig you ever throw miss the most important part = Shindig Chic. read more

I contacted Angelena at Shingdig Chic with just 4 weeks to go until my wedding (changes due to covid). She responded right away (huge plus), and it felt like talking to a good friend - someone who understood right away what I was hoping to achieve and brought fun ideas to the table. I'd classify myself as the anti-romantic bride - I want colors and funky shapes and unusual flowers. But we ended up in a venue that had a much more romantic feel. Angelena did an incredible job of transforming the space but also complementing the setting so things felt fun and funky while also not completely out of place! She provided inspiration boards and was so open to conversations to nail down a specific look and feel. On the day of, all the flowers were set up at the venue even before I arrived, and ready to go! Absolutely loved working with Angelena and Shindig Chic! read more

This review is very overdue! Angelena made all my wedding dreams come true. She made me feel at ease during the whole process, and I trusted her completely. I didn't have a strong vision going into wedding planning, so I know I didn't give her a lot to work with - but she walked me through everything and I knew I was in good hands. She has such a good eye, and every detail was honestly perfect - just look at the photos! She's a dream to work with and I am always eager to recommend her to anyone! Everyone still tells my husband and me how beautiful our wedding was and we have her to thank! read more

I reached out to them online in hopes of getting an estimate for my wedding in November next year. The site said they are accepting inquiries for up until September, but I had hoped they would reply letting me know when they would have time to provide a quote. I followed up and the owner replied saying my proposed budget fell under what they typically provided and rudely pointed out they are only booking to September. I did see that on the site, but wanted to get a ballpark as placeholder as they were recommended to me. I even asked what budget they would need so I could adjust in hopes of working with them. It's been almost one month now, and they still have not replied. Needless to say, I would not recommend them. I work in public relations for events and lifestyle and word of mouth goes a long way. Disappointing. read more

Angelena did an incredible job styling and providing floral arrangements for our wedding at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. I originally came to her with tons of ideas and she was able to turn my vision into a reality on our wedding day. It was so easy to communicate with her because she understood exactly what I wanted (from the boho macrame chuppah, to the incredible dream catcher wall decor, my beautiful overflowing bouquet, and our awesome eucalyptus centerpieces). The best part about working with Angelena is that she is super sweet and flexible, and even suggested ideas on how to stay within my budget. She knew what we wanted and was able to make everything look even better than I ever envisioned it. read more

WHAT A GEM. I don't have the words to describe Angelena's talent, and how much of an impact she and her team made on our wedding day. Book her, she is the absolute best. I initially found her via junebug weddings (this one specifically: https://junebugweddings.com/wedding-blog/youre-going-to-love-the-bohemian-vibes-in-this-palm-springs-wedding/), and instantly knew we needed her talent. I had started a secret Pinterest board, and we shared inspiration back and forth. My initial vision was a tropical vibe as we got married in Palm Springs; lots of monstera leaves, bougainvillea, etc. About two months before the wedding, I had a change of heart, and we shifted to a more refined, retro, pseudo-tropical, elevated fall situation and she was so onboard. She understood immediately what I was going for. She Pinned lots of design inspiration, and I combed through and "liked" certain ones. After that, she had all creative control, and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. She is SO talented, and I was thrilled on our wedding day to see what she and her team put together. She collaborated with Erin Long on our SICK seating chart. I couldn't have designed something better, even in my wildest dreams. I cannot wait to see final photos, but the ones I've seen I'm blown away by. They captured the essence of our vision, and created the perfect vibe. Not to mention, they're so laid back and calm. The perfect team. We love you gals so much! read more

Angelena is amazing. She's professional, communicative and was so helpful in the planning process. In the weeks leading up to my wedding, I had no idea what my vision was and how to execute my ideas. Angelena took the time to understand my wants, needs and helped me come up with a clear vision. She and her team are incredibly talented and helped bring all of my dreams to life. Everything was absolutely perfect, even better than I had ever imagined, all thanks to Angelena! She was a dream to work with and I would recommend her to anyone! read more
