We met Marcos over a year ago to get a quote for tree trimming. The tree is a 25+ year old Bradford Pear. It's BIG, beautiful and luscious. I had reservations about any serious cutting affecting it esthetically. Between the skepticism and dread of dealing with neighbors, it got put off. Eighteen months later, a large branch fell and it was beyond obvious that the weight of all of the branches was just too much. We got back in touch with Marcos and he graciously came back out to reevaluate. I explained why we had postponed the inevitable and he went into detail on the how/when/why. Though still reluctant, we moved forward. The crew was kind, courteous and respectful of my property along with surrounding neighbors. It was the honesty and attentiveness that ultimately locked in the decision to use this local company. The result was more than one could hope for! read more

Wonderful, professional company! We had 2 beautiful giant birds of paradise plants that were getting so big they were cracking the planter box retaining wall they were in by our pool. Unfortunately they had to go. JC Tree company gave us a quick, in-person estimate and a great quote for these beasts. The 3 guys who came the day of were so polite, professional and clean! I couldn't believe how quickly and efficiently they cut down the massive tree and ground down the root bulb. They were so careful to clean up any mess they made and were mindful of other surrounds plants and drip lines. They also blew off as much debris as they could from our pool cover. I wish I remembered the gentleman's name who was the GC of the job...he kept us updated about what was happening and was just so kind. All-star company. Couldn't ask for a better experience. As sad as I was to see my beautiful birds of paradise go, they handled it flawlessly. If you need a tree service, these guys are definitely who you want in your yard. read more

I highly recommend JC Tree Service. From my first call they were professional and the arborist is very knowledgeable. The day of the quote they arrived at promised time. The crew that did the work did an amazing job. They cleaned up after, leaving work area pristine. read more

I got my cat back! Marcos Ulloa from JC Tree service was on his way to bring my cat who was stuck 40' up a redwood tree in our neighbor's yard, the only rescue willing to commit coming today. Animal control, fire department, police won't touch cats stuck up trees. Anyway, before Marcos arrived, Kabuki started climbing down and 30' up he dropped to the ground and I grabbed him. He was stressed and panting but not injured. Marcos wouldn't accept money but my wife forced him to take some. The reassurance and peace of mind and his willingness to come out was worth a reward. Kabuki is still anxious and is hungry, hopefully scratched his wanderlust for a while... read more

We had to deal with a tree stump outside of our property magically growing into our patio from under our fence. On top of that, we have additional HOA guidelines and restrictions we had to follow to remove them. Marcos from JC Tree Service was extremely helpful through this difficult project. He came in with an estimate, broke down each part of the services, and answered all of our questions. When mentioning that we wanted to get quotes from multiple vendors, he gave us some helpful advice to make sure the quotes included the same services and protections. On the day of the project, his team was prompt, communicative, and adaptive when there was a timing problem from our end. They brought me in at the end of their work and I was so happy to see my patio cleared of invasive growth. We highly recommend them. read more

I contacted JC about a quote to remove a large, dead tree in my yard. They have by FAR the best customer service I've ever experiences in a residential service company. Maurico was informative and professional. When his brother, Marcos, came out to look at the tree itself, he was upfront and honest about what they could and couldn't do. If customer service is your priority, JC is who you want to hire. Great guys. read more

Great prices and even better service! JC's crew came to remove 3 trees and trim one. I was at work and was only able to view via pictures. After returning home I requested the front tree to be trimmed more, even after his crew had demobilized. They returned a week later and made things whole, no charge. Now that's what I call excellent service! Will be using for future trimming! read more

Marcos and his crew showed up bright and early this morning I took him to my backyard and they went to work right away. They stripped the branches and then climbed 3/4 of the tree and using a chainsaw it was down in 15 minutes, they cleaned up every branch, and then came the stump grinder and in another 10 minutes it was gone too. They cleaned up and put all the blocks back better than before they started. Now you can never tell there was even a tree there. I was very impressed with all 3 of the workers very professional friendly answered all my questions and if I thought of any to give him a call. I couldn't be anymore satisfied with their work, thank you J C Tree service. Gil Britto September first and JC Trees is back out to remove our dangerous cluster of trees. They were here bright and early ready to work. There was three trees that were about 40 foot tall, he climbed up them cutting limbs off all the way and they tied safety lines to each section they removed. Again I was impressed by how all 3 worked together, the clean up was fantastic too. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing tree service, thank you guys again. This is the 2nd time we use JC Tree Services and we are very pleased with their work and highly recommend them.

From the initial response from co-owner Marcos to the work completed by JC Tree Removal staff, my interactions with this company were all positive. I had a pomelo tree removed from my backyard. In October I sent Marcos a photo and he provided me a quote. I said I wanted the work done in November, and he scheduled me for the 7th. His team showed up right on time, communicated with me about what they'd do, confirming it was what I wanted, and then they got to work (undaunted by the massive thorns on a pomelo tree). In no time they were done, having completed the removal and cleaned up all of the debris. I recommend them highly for any tree work you might need. read more

This is a longover due review that I'm finally jotting down. JC Tree Service and the brothers Marco and Mauricio were absolutely fantastic!! All the good reviews about them are absolutely true. Everyone always says that large trees can be expensive to have work on, but it is well worth it and their pricing in the estimate was clear-cut for me to understand and how it varied depending on what I wanted done. I didn't even know what kind of tree I had until they came along! Mauricio was very communicative and walked around my front yard with me for my estimate. I received an invoice from him that night detailing everything we went over along with pricing, and I scheduled with him. Day of my appointment--- These guys are fantastic!! Marco introduced himself to me and double-checked with the original invoice to make sure we were all on the same page. For pruning my tree, taking out the hanging dead wood, and trimming back my neighbor's tree that was hanging over my driveway--- I want to say it was barely 2hrs but that feels too long. Maybe barely over an hour? They honestly were super fast and thorough in their job and their work was fantastic! I look forward to working with them again (removing a different tree on the side of the house one day-- and eventually pruning that Sycamore again I'm sure). Huge shoutout to these guys. Such amazing customer service, great rates, and genuinely very pleasant people to work with. I will always recommend them. read more

We have always used JC Tree Service to care for our beloved Japanese Maple. The amount of care that Marcos and his team have always given to our Maple has been stellar! They understand the monetary value that a tree has for a homeowner. When I call Marcos to evaluate our Maple, his recommendation is not always to trim the Maple. He understands that trees do not get manicured in the wild. Sometimes, he does suggest some minor trimming. Knowing that JC Tree Service isn't in business to trim all trees, no matter what, gives me the confidence that I'm not being taken advantage of financially. We also have Queen Palms in our backyard. My husband has maintained those since they need constant trimming. This year, one of our palms snapped in half. We knew that we needed JC Tree Service to come out and help. Marcos responded to our call, and within an hour, he and his team were on site and cutting down the snapped palm and a second palm that we no longer wanted. They came back the following day to grind out the stumps. The quick responses, professionalism, and fair pricing give me the confidence to recommend JC Tree Service to anyone looking for tree servicing! read more

JC Tree Service - Pruned - Tree Services Near Me

JC Tree Service is great. Marcos and Mauricio are great to work with, prompt, thorough and, importantly, they really care about the work they do. We have used them for several jobs and, most recently, were very fortunate to get them out on a Sunday when our birch tree fell on our roof during the high winds on Feb 4 this year. There is nothing worse than seeing a tree laying on your roof and wondering if one trunk might snap and allow a branch to crash through a window. Thankfully, JC Tree Service saved the day! But don't just call them for emergencies. You'll want them to help foster tree beauty and growth (and, ok, for any unfortunate events as well). Thanks Mauricio and Marcos!! read more

We hired JC Tree Service for a second time to help us get rid of a lot of tree limbs sitting on the side of our home. The Hawthorne Berry Trees are pretty brutal having thorns 3-4 inches long all over each branch so that in itself is not a pleasant job! This morning they showed up early and they had all the limbs ran through their chipper, raked and used the blower to tidy the areas within 30 minutes! I'm so grateful for them and the work that they do. What took them 30 minutes would have taken us several days to chainsaw everything then load in the green cans. Their entire team is always professional, efficient and courteous. We will continue to be a loyal customer and highly recommend them! Customer satisfaction is always a guarantee with JC! read more

Reached out to several different services for estimates to prune or remove 3 really tall trees easily 50ft+ (2 cottonwoods and 1 eucalyptus). Two of them were very close to the house and had branches constantly banging on our roof on windy/rainy days. Mauricio from JC Tree not only offered the best estimate but was very patient, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire process. After about two months of coordinating with our neighbors, JC Tree and their partner company P&J Tree came by around 8am and got to work right away. These guys were simply amazing to watch. They worked very quickly but also very safely, carefully, and coordinated, making sure no one got hurt and none of the property got damaged. Mauricio conservatively estimated 2 days, but they ended up finishing in one day including the stump grinding for the cottonwoods before the sun started to set. The timing couldn't have been more perfect because the heavy wind/rain came back a couple days later, no more branches banging on the roof. I highly recommend JC Tree and P&J Tree for your tree maintenance/removal needs. These guys can seriously take any size job (small or gargantuan) safely and professionally. They're licensed, insured, and take care of their guys very well. read more

I moved into my house a few months ago and there was a giant tree in the front. It wasn't just a giant tree, it was an ugly giant tree. The previous owners didn't take care of it. After some research and recommendations, I chose JC Tree Service. They came by, checked it out, and gave me a fair estimate. It wasn't as cheap as other guys, but they are insured and licensed (VERY important in my opinion) and really do AMAZING work. They fixed my tree and I now have a beautiful, giant tree. Now, if you don't care about the life of your tree or how the trees look in your yard - then go with the cheap guy who will hack off the limbs and call it a day. BUT if you want a team of people who are knowledgeable, professional, skilled, and give quality customer service - then please call JC Tree Service. The owners Marcos & Mauricio are the best! At this point I've had them come out for two jobs, plus my brother's house. They actually show up and talk to you as if they've known you for years. Their team is very professional and I can really tell that they pay attention to detail when cutting. What I love most is that I can ask them questions about tree care and they are so helpful. They really care to teach me so that I can continue caring for my trees properly and I can avoid long-term (and more expensive issues) in the future. Talk about QUALITY service. Thank you to the JC Tree team for everything. I am so happy to recommend this local family business to all of you! read more

I requested an estimate and was promptly contacted by Marcus who was very courteous, helpful, and friendly. I received a written estimate via email along with verification that the company is licensed and insured which was a big consideration of mine considering a tree was being removed. Further, Marcus was super accommodating by contacting my neighbor also as we were splitting the cost to remove a tree and have the stump grinding done. The work was scheduled and performed as stated. Both the neighbor and I were very pleased with the work. Marcus maintained communication throughout the process from estimate, day the work started and after work was completed. I highly recommend this company and won't hesitate to use their services again! read more

I had a tree in rental property drip sap again, so I think either prune it plus treatment or remove it this time. I contacted several vendor to find the answer. Marcos answered the phone, he offered same day site visit to check, I waited 2 days to get written quote by email. There are 2 options with details, so we had several calls to discuss each option, he is busy but very patient, provide me honest opinion of spray treatment for sap problem, so it is easy for me to make decision. A written quotation (list his license# and insurance) with details of job is very professional and impressive. I had more confidence with Marcos compare to other vendors (no much details of the job or not knowledgeable answer). After all my concern answered, I decided the removal option. His crews is on time, work fast and clean all debris, I am happy with the job and this company-great customer service and skilled crews. I recommend my next door to this company as well. read more

Co-Owner Marcos was amazing!! I requested service to take out a tree in our business parking lot. It was a rather large tree surrounded by concrete and landscaping. I thought for certain that he could come in padding the bid because of the challenge of where the tree was located. But he did not!! The cost was very reasonable. He was professional and explained how he would extract the tree without disturbing our business. He was very accommodating to our needs. On tree removal day he was prompt, never interrupting any of our business for the day, because it went so smoothlessly. Heck, you would of never known he was there or that we ever had a tree. I had 3 trees that I needed trimmed, 2 of which were very large. One tree actually had a very large limb that broke before they came out to give me the estimate and the debris was still curbside in small chunks. Mauricio came out and and gave me a fair and reasonable quote to trim all 3 trees and take away the debris from the large limb that had broken along with the regular tree trimming debris. He is very knowledgeable on trees and how they should be taken care of which was great to hear. The workers arrived on time and did an amazing job. They are well skilled in the tree trimming art! I just was noticing a few trees down in the neighborhood and was happy to not have any because I dealt with all the trees that were needed earlier. My family moved into a new place this summer and had a lot more trees than we wanted to deal with. Joe came out one day after I got of work (nice to not have to worry about doing stuff during my business hours) and gave us an estimate. 2.5 days of work and 16 removed trees later my yard looks so much better. The pruning of the other trees was well done and was icing on the cake. I'm thrilled to not have anywhere near the number of leaves to deal with in the fall. He was very straightforward with the estimate and hoping to be able to get some more work done once we figure out what we are doing with the still new-ish space. read more

A shout out to Marcos with JC Tree for being so willing to help out with the rescue of an owl in Knightsen. Thank you for your compassion.

I called JC tree ,he came out, we walked around the trees and I thought we had an agreement. At $500. His guys showed and told me they were only to do THREE trees ( these are with one exception small fruit trees) He got on the phone SCREAMING at me how could he make any money, I was trying to cheat him and on and on. He came back out and said he'd do it for $655. NOW. I finally agreed, he changed the time he was going to be here either 3or 4times When his guys got here the slip was very different, I was trying to compare it and went back out to the men, they went out to the truck came back and said they weren't going to do the trees. read more
