Prices are all over the place. First visit two weeks ago, pedicure was sufficient and reasonably priced. Returned tonight for a fill in, and will not be returning. Cut my nails short, left nail polish on my fingers, and then charged me $50 for it. I paid it because a service was done but I will never return or recommend. I wish I had read the reviews before trying their salon. You should never take advantage of others , we're all struggling. Karma is real. read more

To say this place is dirty, is an understatement. The amount of nail dust that covered the tables and check in counter was disgusting. This is not my usual nail place but mine was booked today. So I figured I'd give J.C nails a try since I just needed a simple nail repair. I called asking if I could come in and the woman on the phone said yes. I get there and I was met with an abundance of rudeness. I was told to wait for a few hours. After I had just called and was told to come in and I'd be seen. I sat down and no one asked me anything or even talked to me about what I needed done. There was another woman who was getting her nails done who kept saying "ouch" and the nail tech replied with " it doesn't hurt" needless to say after 10 minutes of waiting there I called my regular salon ( L.A nails ) and made an appointment for the next day. read more

The lady who did my nails was so rude I- whacked pulled and basically did my mani pedi in 15 minutes. She was screaming and yelling. When I said ow she said the reason is you have so much dead skin and don't come here often ( I had come there 3 weeks ago and had the old lady do a good job). I am 52 years old and had mani pedis everywhere- this was the worst. Maybe she was having a bad day but don't take it out on your customers. Plus do you all need to scream in another language? Very very unprofessional! Instead of listening to the paying customer she decided to do what she wanted to do. My nails are super wide and fat. The acrylic isn't covering the entire nail bed as it should and I just felt rushed. She didn't do anything when I told her that my nails were crooked. Instead she thought filing them down would fix it and said my nails were crooked because my finger is crooked. My finger hasn't been crooked a day in my damn life. Stopped by here for a mani pedi while in town visiting my in laws. Service was decent and my manicure has lasted pretty well (though since we're on vacation I'm not cleaning, washing dishes, etc as regularly as at home). Generally though I've noticed up here salons tend to shave off calluses (I wasn't paying close attention during the pedicure and realized towards the end of the service that my tech had used a cheese/potato grater on my feet). I usually don't prefer this style of callus removal but to each their own. Overall the staff here was not very conversational or personable but the work was ok. I was a bit surprised by the cost at the end but would probably come back here if I was in town and desperate for nail services. read more

I have to be honest, I was expecting the worse by the reviews I read on here. To me satisfaction, they did really good. I'm satisfied with my "spa pedicure" ($42.00 w/ regular polish). I would only question the sanitation of the tools.. would suggest a remodel to make it look neater. read more

I usually dont right bad reviews but for weeks now I've been looking down at ruined nails waiting for them to grow out. I went there to have my gel polish taken off, a regular manicure and a pedicure. I specifically said please soak the gel off. She acknowledged and then used a dremel tool. I though she was just "roughing up" the polish to allow the acetone to soak better. No she dremeled too much, ruining my natural nail and on others left uneven gel polish. Who does this? I think she thought she would cover it up with a new polish color but I like my nails natural. So disappointed, I sure won't go here again. read more

Came in wanting the full shebang (mani/pedi/nail art). It took 20 minutes to get into the pedicure (even thought there were manicurist available). The pedi was ok. But I waited for an hour for the manicure before the lady who had come in 40 minutes after me was helped with a manicure. I finally just got up and left. I was really disappointed to this horrible place. The asian guy who did my nails is rude and not professional. I hope he is a licensed manicurist since he didn't use a warm water to soften my cuticles and basically he didn't know how to do the manicure correctly. He didn't even use a cuticle remover to make it soften and due to my dried skins. I am from California who is visiting my daughter and family in Delaware. Absolutely horrible experience!! My wedding is in 2 days and I will have to try to find time tomorrow to fix what they did. Twice during my pedicure I was cut and was informed it was my swollen feet and heavy body's fault!! Then I asked for a certain thing done and showed a picture for my manicure. I wasn't even given the manicure just the acrylics and a horrendous paint job, which was nothing like I asked for. When I asked them to fix it they refused. The lady painting my nail barely finished my pinky before she had her keys out and leaving because she said she was done for the day. Went there today, first time I've ever having a pedicure ,That girl made me feet feel new again!

Decided to try this place out, this was my first time here and I won't be back. The nail techs constantly talk to each other and laugh the entire time making it feel as if they're talking about you in their own language. The nail tech I had laughed when I asked her to fix the shape of my nails. Also, never have I ever seen a hand held VACUUM be used for getting acrylic dust off of customers hands and off of the table they work on.. and I have no clue what is under my nail or wrong with it (see photo) but it has been driving me nuts ever since I left there. read more

I came to this nail salon after it reopened to support them after COVID-19. Customers were there making derogatory comments about the black lives matter movement and protesting. The shop owner allowed it and also said he was nervous about the people protesting, laughter ensued. The staff is a bit rude and unfriendly. I asked to get a toe repainted because it messed up as we moved into the manicure area. The lady made a big deal about it and had to get the "boss" to come over. He just asked her nicely to repaint it so really no big deal. I used to go to JC all the time and I then moved away. I would come back and go there every now and then and each time, I would have to ask them to do something over. It was convenient for me and even though they would give me attitude they still did it. The most recent time I went, they were so nasty and rushed. I asked them to do it over and they wouldn't. I have read the reviews. I have gone to this location twice and have walked away very happy both times. In and out in 1/2 hour for gel polish both times. Nail technicians are polite to me. If I become dissatisfied I would talk to my nail technician before walking out the door and posting a bad review without giving them a chance to rectify. I can see why some people would be unhappy since this location has a sign on the wall of people that have used bad payment methods. I visited this nail salon just the other day. I've been here a few times before with some what ok service. This time I'm just too unhappy not to give a review. I asked for a mani & pedi as I always do. The tech started with my pedi first, she did ok, but I asked for extra work on my heals due to me working 16 hr shifts, I needed it. She did so but not with the tool to remove the dead skin, ok that's fine. Toes came out "ok" but my feet do not look or feel like I have just received a pedicure after 2 days. When I mentioned my mani she said "oh I have appointment waiting, can't do" she told me i could go back over to the waiting area and wait for someone else to do my mani. Well by this time the place was fully packed and people had been already waiting for over 30mins. I just said don't worry about it, maybe next time!? I went to pay and it was more expensive for my pedi!! I asked about the price and she said "always been this price" huh? no I've always paid 25$ why is it 28$ ? She ignored me and still ran my card. I always tip after, but I feel like she was bringing the price up to add more money to the tip she ""EXPECTED"" to already get! Sadly this will be my last time coming to this salon. read more

My main concern was that I was lied to about the ATM. I was told there was not a charge to use it. When I checked my bank statement the next day I saw I was charged $3.00 for the transaction. There wasen't any kind of disclosure on the machine asking me to authorize a fee. When I called the salon, they told me to come in and they will reimburse me. Very dissatisfied with poor quality of work and customer service. One man in particular, maybe even the owner, Larry was very rude, rough with nails, and lacked any personable attributes. Lacked cleanliness and sanitary procedures. The fact that this establishment "prefers cash" and has a "no fee ATM machine" is very distasteful and leads one to believe this is to prevent from paying taxes, which is appalling as a hard working tax payer.
