When he is around he demands 100% of the money up front. You get no invoice and only a small receipt for final payment. When the cabinets came delivered by him and another man his age, they were the wrong brand. One was damaged all over ant two were the wrong size. He threw a temper tantrum in front of my wife yelling at us and insisting we were wrong when we had been researching cabinets for months. He did not want to take accountability for his mistakes. I had the supplier come out to fix the cabinets and all he wanted to do is tell me how he is not making money for his mistakes. I went with him to support smaller local businesses. What a mistake. I would not recommend him. I also like the only other five star review was from himself

We are doing a complete demo of our primary bathroom. Our contractor recommended that we go to…read moreStudio 41 to select fixtures and tiles. Went on a Wednesday afternoon. Not busy in the store at all. Had never been in the store before. We were placed with a very young gentleman to help us. It was clear after a few minutes that he was very new on the job. I asked him for a price on a tile and he disappeared for 20 minutes. Same thing happened when looking at fixtures. He had no experience with fixtures and finally admitted so. I begged another gentleman to help us with fixtures while our salesperson had disappeared. He did, but clearly was not thrilled to be bothered. He was very helpful, and knew the fixtures, but rattled off 8 items to our salesperson that he should write up in our quote. Really? I had no faith that it would be done accurately, since he was so new, and asked that someone oversee the quote. This new salesperson was not ready to be helping customers on the floor by himself, he clearly needed to shadow a more experienced salesperson. I am crossing my fingers that everything our contractor needs will be provided when he actually starts the job. We spent a lot of time and money in this store for very poor customer service. There were plenty of salespeople just sitting at their desks doing nothing. I will never purchase anything from this store again.

We took a liking with them with our interaction with Mike. We scheduled an estimate with Edson, he was on time and polite and also we enjoyed Edson's honesty in his answers when I probed questions about ditra-heat flooring options. They seem knowledgeable enough to entertain our questions, which again we appreciated. That shows that they are willing to plan with us as opposed to others we have worked with that only does what they know how to do. They provided the itemized estimate/invoice, which is what we look for in contracted jobs. Check. And they were coherent in their emails, which is also a plus. It's nice to be able to physically walk into a location and talk to someone there. We are still on the contract stage but we liked what we see so far, even tho the price is a bit higher than other ones we've got. However, they seem to not have seen a contract before which is a bit surprising to us. We are waiting to see if their big boss agree with what we had down in paper, which protects both parties. I will update if we both decide to move forward with the job. Update: GFS responded to us saying they don't want to sign the contract. This kinda makes us raise an eye brow, because our generic AI drafted contract is super reasonable. Stuff like if there are any changes, it has to be communicated in writing. I don't get why. I think their refusal to agree in writing really makes us worry and doubt their reliability... we ain't about to drop $20k when there's no reassurance! Too bad I really liked the two people we talked to so far!
