I am unable to determine how competitive the prices are. For many of the products stocked, one would otherwise have to go to Woodcrafters in Salem or the Portland retailers/wholesalers. I have worked with them as a regular client and as an interior designer. They go out of their way to bring in samples and give you plenty of time to take them home and view them - no charge. I have also sent clients there without me and they have been treated very well and the ladies communicate with me what my clients are looking at. Any time I have had tile issues (came in broken or damaged - not Mid-Valley's fault), they were sorted right away. We had flooring including subflooring done by him, and a lttle after a year we noticed squishiness in the floor. When we reached Craig, he said he'd come. He did and claimed the problem was bad flooring and wanted us to pay him to do anything. He said after one year, he had no responsibility, according to OR law. I called Lowe's where we bought the flooring and told the agent that our contractor claimed the floring was bad. Lowe's said because I used an independent contractor they couldnt help, that if we had used one of theirs, they'd take a look, come fix the problem. as if had only been a year and a half. Craig refused to help us fill out the guarantee (requires pictures). We have no idea if the floor was bad as Craig claimed or if his sub-looring work was poor, In the future I am not sure we would go with an independent contractor, or if we did, we'd want someone who'd at least help us do the guarantee form. If the guarantee form with the pictures backed up Craig's claim, we'd have been happy to talk to him, as he knows, about future payment for future work.

However, after our decision was made on the vinyl…read morecolor, we DID NOT RECEIVE THE CORRECT COLOR that we had chosen as our final choice out of two colors. We told them twice the color we had chosen and placed it on the counter and he was suppose to change it on his computer, and apparently this wasn't done. When the installer took out the vinyl, I told him that was the wrong color. I called the store and they would not discount their mistake and we would have to wait several more weeks for the correct color (gray) that we had chosen. We went with the (tan) color they sent as we didn't want anymore delays and we had already moved the furniture out. Also, after Tony came out to inspect the job, he told the installer the wrong information on the direction on how the vinyl was to be laid down, but luckily I caught that before it was glued down.
