We were getting ready to tile the new hearth for the wood stove, and stopped by to see their…read moreselection, which was huge. "Mike" could not have been more helpful and interested in our project. We needed the tile that day, so he showed us his 'back room' and we found exactly what we were looking for. In talking with him, he shared that they donate their 'odds and ends' to Habitat. What a great company. Highly recommended.

They will re-schedule, text or call to say they will be later several times. We had problems with damage from roller marks on the original finishing and other contractors and instead of coming out to inspect the damage they said they could buff and re-seal the floors. Afterwards the floors developed white lines between the boards. The owner came out twice and attempted to fix four areas. The Second he said he would re-do the floors under warranty and set up a date to do so. Then he called and said he needed to push that date out. Instead of a new date being set he said he needed to come out and look at the floors again. When he came out to look at the floors he walked in and said the floors were "perfect" and would not re do them. When we brought up the area he attempted to fix in front of the kitchen sink, he said to put a rug over it! See the attached pictures. That doesn't work! Alan G.

I lost count of how many times they told me something would get done at a certain time and it didn't. Constantly cutting corners and not paying attention to detail. You will wish you just managed the project yourself. I was constantly having to check to see if they were building to spec. A surprising amount of time they were not. I'm still trying to get them to fix wiring they oversaw that didn't match the plans. A project they said would take about 8 months took about 14 months. They basically just stopped working on my house and told me they were out of money that they said they had to carry the project. I had to bring in a hard money lender to get it finished. I should have known when when my first bank refused to work with them because of past issues. Save yourself a lot of heartache and find another contractor.

From the owner: When we founded JBLC Construction in 2017, we were just a three-person operation.
