They were soliciting my neighborhood, checked my roof, told me there was a completely bare spot and showed me pictures of, but would not send them to me, said insurance would pay and I need to tarp it, was allowing moisture onto plywood. unfortunately when a reputable company came out they said there was no such damage, they scam clients and insurance companies, buyer beware read more

JBL in Kent handled our insurance claim for a roof replacement in 2019 and did a fantastic job. I just called them again to come out to look at a leak in our ceiling. One of the owners, Matt Lewis, moved in next door to me and has had his company work on many projects since moving in. They continuously disregard property lines and trespass despite being asked not to. They bring heavy machinery onto my driveway and through my grass continuously. I have tried many times to nicely ask them to refrain from using my property and they become angry and refuse. I'm currently waiting for the police department to come out because they are actively trying to build a fence on my side of the property line. They got caught not pulling permits for their driveway replacement and have not pulled a permit for the fence they are currently installing. Self entitled, unprofessional and the worst neighbor I've ever had. read more

Our experience with JBL Roofing could not have been better. From the beginning the salesperson, Kevin, worked tirelessly to make sure our insurance company paid for everything that they should be paying for. This required several trips to our house to document for the insurance company. He had to takeoff shingles, tack, up shingles, go into the attic, take pictures, etc. The on-site supervisor, James, did everything he could to ensure that we were satisfied with the job. His team of roofers were very hard-working, respectful, and efficient. One member worked constantly to remove any nails that might be in the landscaping or driveway. When they were all done, they even washed our deck. When the work was done, Mike, the project manager and his assistant, TK, came out to document the work with a drone and called back the roofers to correct a minor issues that they saw before indicating the job was completed to their satisfaction. Our roof is a very challenging roof as it is very steep with several skylights. We couldn't be more pleased with the job that JBL completed for us. read more

JBL performed wonderfully for us from beginning to end. They specialize in wind & hail damage which is why we chose them. Damage Expert Jarod Poling interfaced with our insurance company and secured coverage as quickly as possible. He answered all our questions and scheduled the work. The job was done exactly as scheduled as Project Manager Mike Rogers got his crew rolling on the agreed-upon day. They were done in 2 hours 45 minutes! There is so much wrong about how JBL Roofing & Construction, Inc., does business, that it's really extremely unprofessional. When you buy a roof, it is an enormous investment of money, so you want to make sure you hire the best company who will install your roof properly and behave in ways that give you confidence in them as competent professionals you can trust. I want you to know from my personal experience, JBL Roofing & Construction, Inc., is not that business. I strongly urge you to not invest your time or money with these people. There is not enough space to give you every detail of my horrific experience with this company, but here are some key issues I had: * I was told the job would begin on October 19, and I would receive a call from their project manager two weeks before the job was to be done to confirm the date and to let me know when I would receive the roofing materials. I never received a call from anyone.. Ryan Sanders, the project manager, did not contact me at all. I ended up calling him when Quincy Johnson, my sales representative, gave me his number. * When the truck arrived with the materials, I noticed they were putting all the materials on the house roof, so I asked the man in charge why they were putting the roofing materials for the garage on the house roof? He looked surprised and checked his paperwork. He told me they asked for everything to be put on the house roof. I would find out later that JBL Roofing & Construction did NOT order materials for the garage roof at all. * On multiple dates, JBL did not show up or call to say they weren't coming and reschedule. If I didn't contact them, I would not hear from them at all. * Once the roof on the house was completed, I came out to look at it and noticed a section of the front roof was clearly bubbled, and when I asked why it was not flat, I was told that when it warmed up in the spring, the heat from the sun would flatten the shingles out. * When the crew finally arrived, I went outside to inquire why they weren't also working on the garage roof. The manager said they were not told to do the garage, just the house. I came back inside and called Matt Lewis, the owner. Matt told me the crew would be back the next day to do the garage roof because they didn't have the materials to do the roof. Matt had to drive to Erie, Pennsylvania, to get the supplies for the garage roof because they weren't ordered!? * I called JBL in April 2021 about the roof bubbling because of course, the bubbling had nothing to do with the sun as I was told in October. I took pictures and video of the bubbling and sent them to JBL after speaking to their secretary. She told me someone would get back to me. * I called JBL back because no one called me back. The secretary said she sent me an email, which she did not. She then sent me an email thanking me for the video. She said someone would take care of it, and it would take some time to coordinate. But they would get my issue resolved. * I had no further communication with JBL Roofing & Construction, Inc.. until I received an email from Ryan Sanders on June 7, 2021, reminding me that my job was scheduled to be done. No date. No time. No phone call to notify or see when I was available. * On June 8-9, 2021, I received an email from Quincy Johnson stating my job was scheduled for June 11, 2021 at 3:30 pm. Again, no phone call or contact with me. * On June 11, 2021, the day JBL scheduled, no one came to do a job. No one called to say they weren't coming. No one called to reschedule. As of June 18, 2021 today, exactly a week after the job was scheduled, I have not heard from JBL Roofing & Construction, Inc. Spend your hard-earned money on a roofing company that can stand behind their work and who shows respect and appreciation for their customers by communicating properly, professionally completing work in a timely fashion, and respecting their customers and their time. JBL Roofing & Construction, Inc., did none of that in my case, and I do not recommend anyone do business with them for the reasons stated above. read more

Had a cold call storm chaser salesmen notice my siding had blown off during a storm. He knocked on my door and gave me his card and explained how he could help. I was stressed over the situation and the salesmen seemed eager to help so I called him the next day. He came out and took my insurance information. After playing phone tag for a bit he said that he would be out another day with his "boss" to discuss my options. The day of that appointment he canceled saying that he would be in contact with me within two days. That never occurred. I'm not going to beg you to take my money. I'll find someone else. You wasted two weeks of my time with my house exposed to the elements Further research of the company shows that the owner, William A Lewis, has a staggering amount of DUI charges (to the point where it became a felony) and has been sued in small claims courts numerous times. Also smuggling drugs into a detention facility? Wholesome. William A Lewis JR convicted of burglary and felonious assault. I wouldn't even open my door to these people had I known this. Of course I never would have looked into it if they would have just called me back when they said they would. read more
