I have been a Bon Jovi fan for over thirty years and when we decided to come to Nashville, JbJ's was on the top of my list to visit. The bar area was fine and the music was great. However we then made reservations for dinner and while the service was good, the rest of the experience was not great. The drinks were served in plastic glasses, including the wine. It was our friend's anniversary and we wanted to order Prosecco/champagne but they could not accommodate. The plates they serve meals on are also plastic AND to top it off, our food was cold. Wanted to love this place. Lots of red flags. First the staff doesn't know what things are on the menu. Watered down overpriced drinks. But the worse is being charged a fee to checkout? Not sure how that works?! Make sure to double check your receipt for hidden fees. read more

Went here on a Wednesday night and had a great time, there was one bartender (her name ended in an "I" or an "ie" maybe Kristi? Sherri? I'm so sorry I don't remember!) but she made the BEST margaritas. She didn't use sour mix like most bartenders, actually fresh squeezed the lime juice, used some magic or something but those drinks were amazing. I ordered another margarita with the other bartender that was working and it was fine, but just standard, pretty sure he used sour mix Sherri/Kristi/?? Had a blast hanging out at JBJs. The staff was very cool and the drinks were great. We hung out on the rooftop bar for a bit and then went down to the second level where we could look directly down on the stage and watch the band play. A great and much needed addition of a rock themed bar to Broadway. Great combination of a lively crowd without the claustrophobic feeling of other nearby establishments. read more

Honestly out of all the celebrity owned venues on Broadway I was least impressed by this one. It's a narrow and small space compared to the rest. The music wasn't very good the day we we there. The bartender was friendly and efficient. Other than that it's just another celebrity bar on Broadway on a lower scale compared to the rest. read more

Ambiance and bands were fun, stopped 3 days in a row while visiting Nashville... although on the third day my friend was stopped at door by the bouncer to check her bag... she purchased cupcakes from a shop and he said no food allowed, so we had to leave. Be aware this restaurant is 21+ after 6pm!! We made dinner reservations for my birthday (with my 17 yo) only to be turned away at the door because they apparently are 21+ after 6pm. This was not apparent when making the reservation -- it is in tiny letters at the very bottom of Open Table. The service was horrible even though the place was far from being packed. we waited forever to get 2 beers and a margarita. the food was ok, even though we had to ask for condiments for our french fries. there was a lady who was walking around with tito's shots and offered everyone one but us. when it came time to check out, our change was incorrect. it goes without saying that I would never go back again. Right on Broadway, it is easily accessible. There are multiple floors here and the bands have 3 stages to perform on. We came here for food, and was told to go on the 3rd floor. Upon sitting down at a table, there were no servers around. We asked the security guard walking around if we go up to the bar to order or if there was table service (we would've been fine with either). He said that there would be table service and he went and grabbed them. The service was really good, checked in on us, grabbed refills of water before we finished our initial round. The food was subpar. We had ordered cheese curds and they brought out mozzarella sticks and said "they didn't have any cheese curds, is this ok?" (We were still charged for this mixup). The spicy chicken sandwich was not spicy at all, and the pickles were also not spicy. Even though it wasn't spicy, it was still really good! Finally we located a hostess and they weren't ready for us even though we were right on time. Finally they sat us in an empty restaurant in a dark corner backed to the wall. No view, nothing. Bailey took our drink order. Drinks arrived in plastic cups- even the wine! It appeared to be an upper scale restaurant so that was surprising. Music was like some 20's weird jazzy stuff. Went there with a group of 8, ordered our food and after waiting for 1,5 hr we got ice cold food and half of our order. Smaller groups who came in a hr after us got their food within 20 minutes. After complaining multiple times and treatening to walk out we finally got to talk to the manager. We didn't have to pay for our drinks or the food we got. read more

I was looking forward to going to the jbj restaurant and while I'm glad I was able to go, it was kinda lacking, in terms of, food and music. The loaded nachos had canned chicken which made them not so tasty. Also, the female singer was not the best. We left and went to Ole Red and it was fantastic. This was literally the WORST dining/bar experience I have ever had. We went there for an bachelorette party. Our server went MIA for 30 mins a time and never took a second drink order - which we would have ordered. (You sell more drinks, you make more money = Business 101). Once the apps we ordered were delivered, which was fairly quickly, she never came back. We sat there for 20 minutes after the food and drinks were gone just waiting to ask for our bill. Once we did, it took another 25 minutes for it to come. We are women in our 40's, we were growing impatient but never rude or disrespectful and certainly weren't overserved or obnoxious (it was 8:30pm). We paid our bill and still tipped 20% because despite the horrible service, we are good people. After they took our money, they asked us to leave...like security asked us to leave. I have never been treated so poorly or unreasonably in my life. We showed extreme patience and grace and there was no level of customer service. Instead we were treated like we were putting them out. It ruined our whole night and we ended up just going back to our AirBNB. They gave themselves a BAD NAME. I cannot imagine Bon Jovi would want his name associated with treating not only customers but people like this. read more
