By far the worst treatment I've received at a repair shop. Forget the long wait, the way I was treated today by James Booth the owner was shameful on his behalf. In front of his employees and the MATCO truck vendor, he thought it would be a good idea to berate me because I declined any additional work on my car. Recently he did a t-belt job on my car and after two long weeks, and complete re-assembly, I'm being told that there's a CEL and it's the crankshaft sprocket that is missing teeth. Mr. Booth tried throwing the blame on a mobile mechanic, but if only he knew that the mobile mechanic did not touched the crankshaft and the last person who did was in 2015 at a repair shop in Arizona when they did a t-belt job (Which they did a excellent job). Before this t-belt job, I had no CEL and now it does. He also wanted to add a crankshaft position sensor and a new pulley without explaining why to me why so many parts. I believe he had no idea what was going on and was just throwing parts to raise my tab. Coincidentally I also had asked Mr. Booth for a state inspection, now with the CEL I can't pass it and I have to pay someone else to get it right. Mr. Booth sized me up and thought he had an easy target but was proven wrong when I politely declined the job. When it was time to pay, I pointed out a billing error. Mr. Booth was charging me a valve cover gasket set, when mine was brand new. He claims that oil expanded the gasket but once again, if only he knew that gasket was installed when the car was down and no chemicals were added to seal the gasket. After I pay and head out the door he begins saying that I had a bad attitude, when I simply just wanted to get my car out. I inspect my vehicle and find a mess, I go back inside and tell Mr. Booth to leave my interior how I brought it, clean. In front of his staff and the MATCO truck vendor, he begins arguing with me calling me entitled, attempted to invade my personal space and finally asks if I care about his feeling. I clearly do not, this is business, and I just want my car fixed, feeling are the last thing on my mind. I asked Mr. Booth to tell me in what way shape or form I disrespected him, and he had no answer. All of this happened after I paid $900 for a shabby job that i will have to re-do. Do yourself a favor and truly find yourself a shop that practices INTEGRITY and not just uses it as a slogan. read more
